Where are my documents?

I just watched all of my documents in Pages disappear on my iPad, now I'm left with a blank new Pages start-up.
Here is what might have happened: I got a new MacBook and downloaded Pages yesterday. Since both of these devices share iCloud, did it replace Pages on my iPad with the new one from my MacBook? If so, WHERE ARE MY DOCUMENTS from my "old" Pages on my iPad? HELP!

No pages on your new Mac is NOT linked to the icloud storage system, hwever if you have connected your iPad to the your new Mac via the USB cable then you may have reset your IPad as a new device in iTunes.
Prior to this did you have the iPad sync'ed with another PC/Mac ?
If so did you back up the IPad on that ?
If you did then you should be able to recover some of the files from that back up.

When I create Page documents on my iPad where are they on my Mac when iCloud is on?

So in other words documents sync automatically on iOS devices but you still have to manually upload and download from the Mac?

  • Where are last documents in Mavericks finder?

    Hi There
Firsty post on here but looking for advice on where (in the new finder on Mavericks) I can see my list of last documents. Previously it used to list them by day/week etc and it was a really convenient feature when I opened finder to see the actual docs listed in that way.
I know I can change each of my folders to 'arrange by last opened' which goes some way to what I want, but this still has everything categorised within individual folders so I still have to click several times to get a single document.
I basiclally want to open finder then just click once if hte document I am looking for was recently used. I am 99% sure this is how finder used to work before Mavericks??
Thanks in advance for any help with this!
    Claire

Folder that don't start with "LabVIEW" are MSI folders. These are defined by Microsoft. The "Program Files Common" refers to the "Common Files" folder inside of "Program Files". You can also see the list here: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/811FACF92E678065862576660077CE21. There is no shortcut for the "Public Documents" folder accessible from the NI installer.

  • Time Machine Problem - Where are my documents?

    Help!
I scrapped my OS (10.5.2) due some issues and re-installed it, assuming the whole time that Time Machine had been backing up my hard drive. Instead, it seems to have only been backing up my Applications folder. I can't find my Documents folder anywhere in my Time Machine.
    Am I missing something?
    Thanks,
    Matt in Armenia

    That is incorrect
You do not go "into" the time machine disk - you use Time machine to "restore" files or folders - launch TM adn go to the tiem you want to restore from - select the iPhoto library and click restore
TM does not store disk images - it keeps everything and when you restore it reassembles what you are restoring for the time you want

  • Where are my documents after Feb update?

Have I lost my documents after the most recent update?  i was writing a book!!!!!! Help!!

    Which "update" do you mean?
An update won't do anything with your files.
If by "update" you mean you upgraded to Mavericks from another OS, then I have seen that some people create a new user account in the Setup Assistant. When they finish with the setup, they are logged into the new account, which is completely empty as a new account should be.  If this is what you did, log out (Apple Menu) and then log in as your old user.

  • Time Machine: Where are my documents?

Why does Time machine not back up my documents. I used for the first time yesterday but the documents don't appear on my backup drive.

I think I found them. In Time machine > Backups.backupdb > John Newell's iMac > 2012-10-28-124523 > Macintosh HD > Users folder! There are all my documents, downloads, etc.
    Right?

  • Where are the documents?

I installed Archlinux onto my Toshiba Satellite laptop.  After it booted from harddrive, I could not find any HowTo or ReadMe about the Archlinux.  I have to go to my other PC running Windows Vista to search the web.  I remember playing with Linux From Scrach, I can use lynx to follow a book, while trying different things on other screens switched by Alt-F1/2/3/... and I think that is kind of convenient.  Maybe Archlinux also has similar documents.  Please help.  Thanks.

Thanks for the two replies.  But they are not what I want.
I can read the beginner's guide now, on another PC with IE or Firforx set up properly, but not on my Archlinux system, which only have the very basic part installed.  I haven't got its network configured yet.
I can read /arch/arch-linux-offical-guide.txt when I boot from the LiveCD but not on my Archlinux booted from harddrive.
Then copy it to the hard drive from the live CD so you can view it any time.

  • Where Are TextEdit Documents Kept?

I use Mavericks.  I just typed a letter within TextEdit, titled it, and now I can't find the letter.  Where should I be looking?

Text Edit>File>open recent  to get back to your file.
It saves to the last folder you saved to by default.  ex desktop
an alternative is to create a dummy text edit file,  and save. What is the location specified?  THis is where your file is located.

  • Where are my documents and data?

This sounds silly...I've stored Textedit docs (I THINK) on my iCloud in the past. How do I retrieve and download these docs on my new iPad? Where do they "live"?

If you have used Migration Assistant, you should know that Migration Assistant creates a new user with your migrated files.
The only thing you have to do is to go to  > Log Out, and log in the new user that Migration Assistant has created, so you will access to your files

  • Where are attachments stored in oracle apps

In Oracle Apps, there is a facility to attach some documents, images etc to person record. The details of these attachments are stored in fnd_attached_documents. But where is the actual document stored in Unix Box?
    Thanks,
    Sushma

    Hi user;
    Please check :
    http://oracleappstechnology.blogspot.com/2008/02/fndattacheddocuments.html
As you can see in upper links FND_ATTACHED_DOCUMENTS is one of the largest tables in terms of number of rows. It contains reference of all attachments from all the iModules like iRecruitment, iSupplier, iSourcing etc. Here's the structure of the table
Its mean the information keep in table, its mean it keep in data_top on unix/linux site

  • CG36VEN - where are the files stored?

Transaction CG36VEN is intended to allow users to "Import Vendor MSDS" documents (and actually, other documents as well.)  My question is, where are these documents physically stored? As someone who works with DMS and Archivelink, I'd like to know what the default behavior of this transaction is, and if it's possible to configure it to utilize the Content server if it doesn't do it by default.
    Thanks!

    hi,
The following data carrier types are supported as secure storage areas for storing original application files:
    1. SAP Database (settings available in standard SAP System)
The SAP Database is a Secure Storage Area that is predefined internally in the standard SAP System. This storage method is suitable for small files (for example, text files) because all of the original application files are also stored to the database.
    2. Archive (selection in Customizing Document Management and data transport using the SAP ArchiveLink interface)
The archive is a Secure Storage Area t hat the original files are transported to via the SAP ArchiveLink interface. T
The  archiving  process takes place on a special archive server.
    3. Vault (definition in Customizing Document Management)
You can set up a vault in the standard SAP System where the original application files are transferred to the frontend
       computers via an application server.
    4. HTTP content Server: external server, stores originals through Kpro. this is more recomended for DMS.
According to your Configuration of Storage senarios u have to select these methods.
EX: Business document in your case u have to select Archivelinking via HTTP content server.
    Uneed basic configuration for Archivelinking.
suppose u did not configured your document type and storage menthods, thet time Sytem stores original in SAP DATA BASE.
this is not recomanded. So your document is in SAP DB. Not in Content server. i guess.
