Where are my ipad apps

i bought some ipad apps but cannot find them on my ipad?

You've checked all the homescreens on your iPad for them, and if you go into the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your iPad do they show as 'downloaded' ? If they do and you haven't got an app age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding them on your iPad then try a soft-reset and see if they show after the iPad has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
There is also a limit of 11 homescreens on an iPad, after which apps can be accessed via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first homescreen to the right)

I have tried much of the same - still no joy.
I also reported it as a bug to Apple although the response page said "we can't reply to messages"
For now I have had to turn off auto syncing and keep plugging and unplugging until the device is recognised correctly - about 1 in 10.
In my email to apple I also listed the contents of the xml file that keeps track of the devices that iTunes has seen:
    When seen as an ipad:

You will see from the Use Count that these are adjacent connections, ie plugged in as ipad then as iphone. Apart from the device class, everything else is the same.

  • Where are all the Apps Stored?

Where are all the apps I have purchased from the app store stored, on my PC? They do not appear in the Itunes folder where all the TV programs and music are.

They are in a subfolder named Mobile Applications. It will be a subfolder wherever you are running your itunes library database ITL file from.
On XP, the default path for that is
    C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\
(this is where the default ITL file is stored)
So your apps would be in this folder
    C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\Mobile Applications

  • Where are my old apps? Not on new phone.

I tried transferring my 4s to my 5s with icloud and didn't move 90% of my apps. I tried it again backing up to the computer from 4s then restoring from computer to 5s, again 90% are missing, only the same few apps moved over besides the new ones that came with 5s.  Now if I look at either phone in itunes, all my apps are pictured on the right side (under apps) but nothing is listed on the left side where they all used to be listed. Same with the 5s, the few apps are listed on the right side but there is nothing listed under Apps on the left side.
Where are all the apps I bought--practically all where bought from the Apple app store. How can I get them and put them on my 5s? Is it because they aren't 64bit? I thought the 5s could handle both. I really need these apps.
    Help!

Thanks Steve for that quick response!  From other unrelated comments I've read, Apple never helps with password problems, always says, "We don't keep your passwords, so there's no way we can help you with passwords."  But since this is actually more related to PURCHASED-apps not appearing in iTunes, then maybe they would have a more helpful attitude regarding that.
However, the joke is on me, as I think I was taking gail-from-maine's sentence too literally where she wrote, "
Sign into iTunes with the Apple ID that you purchased the apps with."  She probably meant different family members might have different IDs/different phones, so make sure you're using the correct one for whichever phone.
Because I went ahead & used my CURRENT ID/PIN, & followed her directions so far, & yes, whew!, there are 222 apps showing in iTunes.  However, they ALL show the little cloud on them, which gail said means they are NOT on the Mac.  But they ARE on the Mac, under User > Music > iTunes > Mobile Applications.  So I'm cornfused.
I also notice that some of the apps (in the long list under Mobile Applications/Mac) show a "Creation Date" of 12/31/69 (!!) so I don't know how/why it says that as my clock/time/date is correct/current. Might that be causing a problem?  There appears to be no way to change that "Creation Date" in "Get Info."
Another question, what happened to the way you could move/re-arrange the location of the apps in iTunes according to screen/pages on the phone?  (with OSX Lion & iTunes 11.1.5, it simply shows all the apps in iTunes in 27 rows of 8 apps each row, but I see no way -- YET -- to rearrange them by different phone-screens/locations, the way it used to show them in older iTunes & you could move them around to where you wanted them to show up on your phone).
FWIW, I did try doing as gail-from-maine said, "Click on them [in iTunes] to download them [the ones with the clouds on them] to the Mac," (in the lower right of the iTunes page, it has the option/button to "Download ALL"), but it didn't do anything, just a quick blink like flutter/action on iTunes page & no indication that anything was downloading.
I'd rather have the copies that are already on the Mac under Mobile Applications put on the phone, since they are the ones with CONTENT in them through the last backup, right?  (I don't even know if the 222 apps showing in iTunes actually have any CONTENT in them???)
As you can tell, I'm not an experienced iTunes user, never cared for that software much.

  • Where are my new apps

Have downloaded 2 apps from iTunes but can't seem them displayed .where are they

You did not answer my question - were these apps for an iOS device or for your MacBook?
Open iTunes - in your Library (i.e. not in iTunes store) select the drop down list on the upper left of the window and select Apps.
Are the apps listed there?  If so, connect your iPhone or iPad and the apps will sync with device.
As I said previously, if you thought you were downloading apps for your MacBook Air, you are mistaken - these have to be bought via App store, not iTunes.

  • Where is my iPad app

When I use the app that locates my iPad....just like using mobile me to find your iPhone...it says that "Location Services are not enabled".
I can send a message to it, but it will not map where it is. It will map the iPhone, but not the IPad. I checked the "Settings" and "Location Services" is enabled.
Anyone else find this same problem?

I'm assuming you have a wifi only iPad? If that is the case then that is all that is available, the find my iPhone function can't find it, but you can send messages and wipe it if it is online. This only works with iPad with wifi and 3G. I have both and have seen this same behavior.

  • Where are the OSX apps in itunes app store?

This may be a silly question, but in itunes>app store I only have tabs for ipad & iphone apps. I cannot find where to buy apps in (itunes>app store) for my MBP. Can someone help please, what I`m I missing ?

    Hi,
Check your Applications folder for the App Store app.
If it's not there you can reinstall from the v10.6.6 combo update available at this link.

  • Where are my missing apps

I have a number of applications that are in iTiunes (and on my iPad/iPhone) that, when I click on them to get info, respond with an error saying that the app "could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?". How can I get the apps on my devices to be consistent with those in iTunes without causing more problems? Please note that for some apps I have both an iPad and iPhone version.

For the free apps, just re download.

  • HT1657 Where are my iPad movie rentals? They are downloaded and I've been billed but cannot find them

I rented two movies, they've been downloaded and I've been billed but can't find them on my iPad anywhere. Not in the iTunes library or anywhere in iTunes.  I give Up.where do these things get stashed?

They belong in the videos app.
    Have you looked there?

  • Why are iPhone/iPad apps stored on iMac now?

On my iMac I have iTunes, library, and in there have loads of apps for iPhone and iPad. In fact they take up 25Gb I've just checked. Now we have numerous iPhones and iPads in the household, but only sync with iTunes for music, and do it wirelessly anyway. Its my music so I have to look after it as such.
With apps though they are all held on Apple servers, e.g. when you do a iCloud restore, on the iPhone/iPad they are just "markers" and then they redownload, otherwise the iCloud backups would be HUGE. SO the apps are held on Apple's side, and I'm happy with this.
So why do I need to store 25GB+ on my iMac, wasting HDD space, and more crucially more Cloud (Non Apple Livedrive/crashplan type) backup space that I subscribe to is getting used by this.
I need to regularly update all apps on my iMac, for no reason really either , as I just update on the individual iPhones/iPads anyway. Can someone tell me why its needed (apart from plunging in to sync maybe), why have all them on the iMac etc.
    thanks

  • Where is the iPad App file sharing in the new itunes?

I exported a file from ArtRage App. One is supposed to go to iPad Tab, then Apps Section, and scroll to the bottom and find the file. But I just updated to the new iTunes and I don't see a way get the file anywhere within it. What should I do to get the file in the New itunes? the only help information I can find is from the last version. ...I should not have updated...
    Thank you.

With iTunes 11 you can enable the left-hand sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC. Then select the iPad on that left-hand sidebar, and on the right-hand side of iTunes select the Apps tab and scroll down it, and you should see the file sharing section - select that app on the left-hand side of that section

  • Where are my Mac apps after reinstall

I download keynote, but it didnt finish downloading, I cant find it

Direct with your iPad, or with iTunes on your computer?
With iTunes on your computer, at the iTunes menu bar go to Store and select Check for Available Downloads.
Any non-completed download should be downloaded. You can follow this by installing the app on your iPad via the iTunes sync process.
If not downloaded with iTunes this way, re-select the app via the iTunes app store with iTunes on your computer. You won't be charged again for a purchased app as long as you use the same iTunes account to download or re-download the app that was used to purchase the app originally. Follow this by installing the app on your iPad via the iTunes sync process.
