Where are my new pics?

Sometimes my ipad2 camera places newly taken pics into it's generic Camera Roll Album,
But other times i cant find the new pics I just took.
Any suggestions?

please help. last night i took pictures with my ipad2 camera, naturally i expected them to be saved in camera roll..
but when i looked theyre not there! all of them! i checked the camera application itself, clicking the small box on the recent pictures taken, viola! they are there...BUT they do not show in camera roll.
so this morning i tested my ipad2 camera again, took some pictures, and like magic - as if my pictures last night were not a problem, the morning photos are saved in my camera roll..
so why did my photos yesterday last night did not save in my camera roll? it's suppose to.. is something wrong with ipad2? please help

• Where are all my pics from my iphone that are suppose to have been backed up in icloud

where are all my pics from my iphone that was suppose to be backed up to icloud?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
The difficulty in restoring iCloud data from a back up is that the back up is older than the current version on iCloud and anything that is restored gets removed again when an iCloud sync occurs.
Ensure the device is connected to your local network.
Start the restore from iCloud back up.
Allow the devices settings to restore (watch for the confirmation of completion).
As the apps begin to restore pull the connection to your router WAN port (the one that goes to the telephone point).
Wait for the time out confirmation.
Navigate to settings > iCloud and turn off contact syncing (keep contacts when prompted).
Reconnect the router to the internet and let the restore process complete.
Delete any iCloud contacts from iCloud.com on a computer.
Navigate to settings > iCloud and turn on contact syncing (merge contacts when prompted).
May I suggest that you carry out a back up to iTunes before you try anything, that way should things become even worse, you can at least restore back to where you are now.

• Where are the new symbols?

Yesterday during the live event introduction of Adobe Creative Cloud, one of the team members (can't remember which one) said that there were new symbols included in our membership. He was demonstrating the updated microphone in Photoshop and also for Illustrator. Where are they? I went to add-ons and all I could find was a download for $39.99. Does anyone know where they are?

gone... bad improvement...

• Where are my new apps

Have downloaded 2 apps from iTunes but can't seem them displayed .where are they

You did not answer my question - were these apps for an iOS device or for your MacBook?
Open iTunes - in your Library (i.e. not in iTunes store) select the drop down list on the upper left of the window and select Apps.
Are the apps listed there? If so, connect your iPhone or iPad and the apps will sync with device.
As I said previously, if you thought you were downloading apps for your MacBook Air, you are mistaken - these have to be bought via App store, not iTunes.

• Where are my IPhoto pics on my MacBookPro.

I'm on Maverick. I thought I used to access them in a "Library" folder but I can't seem to locate them now. I then tried to export an IPhoto folder to another location but all the dates of the pictures converted to the current date. Can anyone tell me where they are located?

They are in your iPhoto Library. No you don't access them in a "library" folder and that's not even been possible since 2006.
For help accessing your photos in iPhoto see this user tip:
https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4491
As for dates:
There are two kinds of metadata involved when you consider jpeg or other image file.
One is the file data. This is what the Finder shows. This tells you nothing about the contents of the file, just the File itself.
The problem with File metadata is that it can easily change as the file is moved from place to place or exported, e-mailed, uploaded etc.
Photographs have also got both Exif and IPTC metadata. The date and time that your camera snapped the Photograph is recorded in the Exif metadata. Regardless if what the file date says, this is the actual time recorded by the camera.
Photo applications like iPhoto, Aperture, Lightroom, Picasa, Photoshop etc get their date and time from the Exif metadata.
When you export from iPhoto to the Finder new file is created containing your Photo (and its Exif). The File date is - quite accurately - reported as the date of Export.
However, the Photo Date doesn't change.
The problem is that the Finder doesn't work with Exif.
So, your photo has the correct date, and so does the file, but they are different things. To sort on the Photo date you'll need to use a photo app.

• Where are my new menu items?

Have installed two of the new apps (Premiere and Photoshop) and I see nothing on the menu of a WIndows 7 machine. I have the CS5 folder, the CS6 folder but no entries for CC. The control panel says they're installed but I can't run them from there. I can run them from the Program Files folder(s).
Do I have to create my own menu entries for all the CC apps?

Ok so to answer my own question. They eventually showed up (I swear they weren't there the first few times I looked) at the top level menu like they are when you install an Adobe standalone app. I binned them for convenience but at least I didn't have to create them myself.

• After downloading 4.0 on my Windows XP Firefox continues to work as before but none of the new features is available except for tabs on top. Where are the new features?

Mozilla Firefox Installation Started: 2011-05-01 17:51:37
Installation Details
Install Dir: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
Locale : en-US
App Version: 4.0.1
GRE Version: 2.0.1
OS Name : Windows XP
Target CPU : x86
==========================================
The next time I started Firefox, the tabs were at the top but none of the other advertised new features for 4.0 have ever appeared, such as the Firefox button, ability to group tabs, etc. I even downloaded 4.0 two times, with the same result both times. I would really like to be able to use the new features. Thank you for your help.

See [[What are Tab Groups?]]
Other things you can do:

* Right click a blank part of the tab bar and click "Tabs on top" to remove the checkmark. Tabs will subsequently reappear below the search bar.

* Repeat the same steps, but click the top one called "Menu bar". This will reinstate the text links at the top. If you already have these, reverse the procedure to get the orange Firefox button

* To rearrange the layout, repeat the same steps again and choose "Customize". A panel will open and while that remains onscreen, you can move elements like toolbars, buttons etc around and place them anywhere you wish. You can also drag anything you don't like into that panel and add anything you want by dragging it out of there.

Freshly downloaded apps have a tendency to show up on the second page of the home screen. Did you try scrolling your home screen to the left?

• Where are the new ear buds that Steve promised in September?

I remember at the September keynote Steve Jobs said that they were

They will be ready when they are ready.....

• Where are my uploaded pics from Itouch to desktop ?

Hi ~
I uploaded my pictures from my Itouch and cannot seem to find them on my desktop ! Can't figure out where they were downloaded.
I know they were downloaded fine as I remember looking at them at that point !
Any thoughts ?

It all depends how you set up the Camera/Image capture program. Where did you specify they be downloaded to?
Usually there is a setting/preference that specifies where they go. Sometimes the program will make a new folder for each import.

• Mobile Device Management solutions for K-8 school, where are the new iOS 7 features?

Hi all,
I work at a K-8 school and we are using Meraki by Cisco as our Mobile Device Management solution. This seems to be working just fine but with the release of iOS 7 we are trying to figure out how to use all of the new features included pertaining to MDM. We have about 300 iPad 2s deployed.
The teachers would love to be able to use free apps and, using Apple's VPP, paid apps. Right now we have to manually enter any redemption code into Meraki and then on each and every iPad log in using the Apple ID and password associated with the license purchased. I am aware, via several sources, that Apple now allows you to "silently" install apps. How can we do this? Anyone have any other tips to help in the deployment of the apps with the new iOS 7 features?
Thanks,
Scott

by Belkin, so a place to start.
They're a lot more expensive, but Griffin has some of their 'survivor' cases with sealed ports, so you could cover up the ones you don't need.
If best buy isn't an option for you, at least there's a manufacturer to look for.

• Where are my new Apple loops hiding?

Hello all . . .
I will probably learn that I am a complete idiot, but . . .
I just bought and installed my first Jam Pack loops: the Symphonic Orchestra loops. I am still with GB1 because what I really use is Logic Express 7. ( The Jam Pack box does say in tiny type that I need GB2 for the Symphonic package, which I didn't notice initially.)
What has happened is that 30-some new Symphonic software instruments have installed fine. I can use them in LExpress although not in GB, because (it appears) they need the EXSP24 sample player. Logic has it; Garage Band 1 doesn't. OK. Cool.
But wouldn't the advertised 2,000+ new loops be in here somewhere? Right now, they don't show up in the Loop Browser in either GB or LExpress. I've checked the Library > > > Apple Loops folder. It shows 1,006 loops in the folder, which sounds like the loops that came with GB1. The installation DVDs don't provide an option for simply dragging a folder of loops to the desktop, then to the GB Loop Browser for indexing. (Everything is submerged in the installation process.)
I don't mind buying an iLife upgrade with a later version of GB, if that's what I need to do. But I wonder if the loops aren't in here somewhere?
Thanks for any help to this bonehead!
Rick

That was it! Perfect! Thank you!
Thing o' beauty, in'it?
And did I mention I would probably feel like an idiot?
Naww, don't be silly, if you were an idiot my post would have been meaningless to you.
Glad it helped, and glad everything is working for you! Have fun.

(BTW, GB2 really is a brilliant upgrade from GB1. GB3 really doesn't add anything for music creators, but it does mean that used copies of GB2 might be found cheap. Just one nobody's 2¢ %-|> ) --HT

• Where are the new iMacs Shipping From

Hey everyone. I ordered mine thursday, BTO:
Better 17", 2GB RAM, 2.0Ghz Intel core 2 duo.
Any Idea where it will be shipping from? I ordered a bunch of other stuff with it, and that stuff is shipping from all over the country.
Thanks

I didn't know that, Glor. All Macs I have seen shipped that were BTOs came direct from China. Apple does has distributors here that ship the stock configurations out of course, but I was not aware of local distrbution points for BTOs as well.
I have never heard of a locally shipped BTO from anyone on these discussions.
Did any of yours come from local sources? Just curious as mine came from China.
