Where are my podcasts and songs at?
Upgraded last night. Tried downloading podcasts last night .. everything seemed to be ok but now i get a white screen that says "canceling sync" when I got to video the screen is black and says "cancelling sync"
got any ideas?
HI,
Try restarting your iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPad. To turn iPad back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.
And restart your PC. Then try sync.

So where are my podcasts and other items that are in my itunes library
Once again Apple has decided to "upgrade" and change a perfectly serviceable "look" for why Who knows. But My podcasts are not visible nor are any of my other MP3 downloads. Where is the sidebar that allowed me to move around and navigate Itunes.
My playlists are now also missingGo through each of the sources Music, Movies etc. and select Playlists. Use the ellipsis ... to enable sources. Apps, Tones, and Internet Radio don't have a Playlists button, the others do and remember your selection. Not exactly the same as the old sidebar, but not too different.
If you are really missing content see Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash.

First of all, you don't need to use CAPS in thread title, as many people will consider this a desperate shout for attention you're not likely to get.
Then, make sure your podcasts are synced with iPod. If they are, podcasts should be available from "Music" menu. If they 're not, browse for sync options in iTunes and make them copy to your iPod. After all, if you subscribed to video podcasts, don't be surprised you can't view them on your Nan for one obvious reason... iPod Nano can't view videos. -
Where are all the missing songs I already purchased?
Where are all my missing songs which I previously purchased?
I assumed I wouldn't need to explain as it seemed pretty obvious that a lot of people are asking the same question and I have yet to see a post by anyone who has gotten an answer.
Before the iCloud seemingly took over all my songs and playlists where stored in my phone and computer. When the transition from the old iTunes to the new iTunes with iCloud took place all the songs which I had previously loaded manually from CDs became just titles with no content. Also, seemingly arbitrary tracks which I had previously purchased from iTunes are no longer available. I realize I can download what is in the cloud whenever I am connected but two things are wrong here. My albums, tracks, and song which I had ripped into my iTunes library are gone as are many songs which I legitimately purchased. Regarding the latter of the two is there a record of my purchases and will I be credited and have those songs previously purchased made available again? Regarding the first issue, I saved those songs and may not have the CD anymore, where did they disappear to? -
I have an iPod with dock. I loaded a couple of podcasts on it and they show up under music-genre on the iPod itself. However, they don't show up on the iPod in iTunes. I want to manully put on and take off podcasts on the iPod because I have a nano as well. How can I see the iPod's podcasts in iTunes so I can manually delete them from the iPod?
I did reset the iPod. Thanks for your help.OK.

There are certain albums and songs I don't want my children having access to in iTunes Match through their iPod and iPad. Is there a way to control what songs are visible on different devices?
No.

Where are my Calendars and my Notes??
I have just upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion and am checking through everything. Most things appear ok (even if Mail is rather different....) However two vital things I need appear incorrect:
1. I run several calendars and manage my whole work via them - I see clients for two practices and manage them via my calendars plus everything else. It appears that my work calendars and a few others have disappeared (including all my booked clients for tomorrow!!!) and it even appears to have picked up a recurring calendar item that I deleted 12 months ago..... Really hoping this will be quick and easy to fix!
2. I have been using Notes within Mail for everything - I no longer use a pen and paper. It's great that Notes have been moved out to be on their own but where are all my notes with details of all sorts of vital things?
Hoping you can provide some urgent suggestions as it is 10:49 pm here, so Apple Support is not available till 9:00am tomorrow and I need to know a few things before then (like, what clients do I have when, and what is the Case Number of the Apple Support call I made this morning about this install?)
THanks
SuzyThere are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files (purchases and songs from CD etc) and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide -

After updating my iPad to iOS 8 all my files in Pages and Numbers are gone!!! Where are they and how do I get them back?
If you didn't configure Windows Phone backup option or use VZW Backup Assistant then all is lost.
If you did go with Windows Phone native backup and you use an Outlook account you should find your photos and videos on OneDrive. I'm not sure how much VZW Backup Assistant backs up but you would need to start a restore from that software and see what's preserved.
With any OS installs/updates a backup is always best to first. -
Where are the home and end buttons
so i'm new to mac and purchased a mac book pro and that's when it hit me, where are the Insert, Home, End, Page Up, Page Down keys? Where are the arrow keys. I'm not much of a track pad user and although I think it is awesome I like to keep my hands on the keyboard as much as possible.
Also, is it me or does the Delete key on a Mac move in the wrong direction (from right to left instead of left to right)?Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
The answer is the Fn key...
Held down in addition to the Left arrow is Home, with the Right arrow key is End, with the Up arrow key is PgUp, with the Down arrow key is PgDn, and with to the Delete key is Forward Delete.
You might find it helpful to enable the Keyboard Viewer in Hardware, Keyboard, Show Keyboard viewer in menu bar. On OS X 10.6 it displays a flag for your selected country. (Not sure about OS X Lion 10.7 though.) When enabled, click on the flag and select Show Keyboard Viewer. As you press Shift, Fn, Ctrl, Alt/Option, and Command you will see onscreen what keystrokes result, separately and in combination.
