Where are my pre-2009 masters etc.?
Quick background: I used iPhoto for many years and switched to Aperture 2 a little over a year ago. I upgraded to 3.0.1 a few weeks ago and migrated the library.
The good news: Aperture 3.0.1 is working (not quickly!) and I can see my 31,000 images that go back to 1999!
The bad news: I just looked at the contents of my 188GB Aperture library and I found that the Masters sub-directory only goes back to 2009. I thought all the iPhoto photos were imported into the Aperture library.
Any ideas on where the photos might be and why I only have masters for 2009 and 2010?

You shouldn't be billed multiple times for a preorder iBook as you are able to download this type of media again free of charge via the steps below. The iTunes Store will prompt you with an indicator that the item has already been purchased and available for download which should prevent you from being overcharged.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Check you have an internet connection and that you are using the correct iTunes store location setting.
Try restarting the router.
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore. -
Where are iCal, Mail, Address Book, etc. files????
If we reinstall the OS because of major problems, but the drive files are backed up, can we retrieve Mail, Address Book, iCal, etc. files? Our office assistant is tearing her hair out having to re-do everything. Supposedly it's backed up, but she can't find it...or how to RECOVER her missing data.
HELP!It was "solved" by someone else, who just dragged the files over. We've had nothing but trouble with the machine ever since. I will repost updating with the new problems....

Where are my pre-paid receipts????
Since October 2014 Verizon has ceased to send receipts for my pre-paid services and documentation of these financial transactions. I literally have to contact support every month for a copy of my receipt. Support tells me today that I must call monthly to get my financial receipts for service as they are no longer being sent unless you are part of "contract services". So for the 3+ years I have had my iPad and automatically receiving receipts for services I have to call for them. This sounds more like customer inconvenience vs. customer service. I am also told I cannot be listed as an ACCOUNT OWNER to view this information on my online account as that is also part of "contract services" and not available to the common-ers.

Do not have the page forward/back arrows, refresh icon, etc in my toolbar. Saw where this has happened on your page & recommendation was to 'drag' from the left of vertical bar next to the 'Y' in Yahoo- didn't work. Also said to hit the F11 key for Firefox users- didn't work.
Do you have the orange Firefox button, which is an abbreviated menu?
If you have no menus ''and'' no toolbars, check that you're not in full screen mode. Use the F11 key to switch between full screen and normal modes.
To reset your menus and toolbars, you can use Firefox's Safe Mode.
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, close Firefox, hold the Shift key on the keyboard, and restart. You should get a dialog with various reset options. The only one to check is toolbars. More info: [https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode].

Where are the services to configure?
All I have available is DHCP, DNS, Firewall, Mail, NAT, NetBoot, Open Directory, Podcast Producer, RADIUS, Software Update and Xgrid.

Look in the Applications folder and you should see an Application called 'Server'. Drag this to the dock and launch it. The rest should be fairly obvious?
AFAIK there is no service for iPhone. Perhaps you mean Profile Manager?
You may already know this but for the benefit of others new to OS X Server it can't be stressed enough the importance of a properly configured DNS Service. Without it nothing will work well if at all. The DNS Service can be one you're running locally for your private network or one that is accessible publicly. I mention this because the DNS Service is not enabled in the screen grab you've provided. I'm guessing this is probably because you either have an existing and mature DNS Server providing name resolution for your private network or your server is publicly accessible and DNS is being provided by your ISP and/or Domain Registrar.
Apple recommends you use the 'new' Server App as much as possible. If you're an experienced OS X Server administrator you may find yourself being frustrated and possibly underwhelmed?

In mail, how do you increase font sizes in a reply. Cannot find things like "underline", "italic" etc either. Where are they? Entourage was easier!!
Preferences/Compsing/set to Rich Text (only then you can use bold etc).
Then Rightclick the toolbar in Mail, and clcik Customize the toolbar.
Put the icons (with or without text) that you want on your toolbar. -
I upgraded my iPad 2 (3G) to the new OS8 and I can no longer connect to 3G. All the settings on the iPad are correct. It just shows that it's searching for a signal. I'm in an area where my signal (pre OS8) was very good in strength. Please help!

Where are the Physical Files of Portal App (Forms,Reports,etc)
Hi..
We are developing our portal using Oracle Portal..
We use the Portal form,report,link,url,dynamic page etc in our development.
The case is,
Our QA want to restrict the access to the file (version control).
So, they want to do a backup/copy of the development files (form,report,dynamic page etc..) and if there are changes to the portal, they want to use the backup as the development files.
The problem is,
we not sure where the files are..
We don't know where the forms,report,dynamic page are restored and what are they (.jsp?.cvf?.java?.fmb?.rdf?)
Can anybody help?
p/s Fyi,we also use jsp..so, we can see the physical files..e.g. index.jsp,login.jsp....but for the portal form,report,link????Where are their physical files?

Portal Application components do not have any physical files. It is available as a package in the database. You can see it in the manage component screen. Clicking on the package body link will show you the whole package. You can copy this into a .SQL file and compile it later whenever you want, in the schema where the application is built.

Mail search returns results by random date. Where are the mail search parameters, from,to,etc?
This is really annoying. Mail search on iOS 7 never worked, either on iPhone
4S or on iPad.
Search results are not sorted in any perceivable order. I get totally random results, with messages dating 4 years back jumping to yesterday and so on.
I have never seen Apple to respond to this issue with earnest feedback, and users are often dismissed.
I used to have to resort to my Macbook Pro to get decent results, but due to the many mail app problems on OSX, I do not rely on it anymore.
Can Apple please give feedback to this search issue on the IOS devices? It is really, REALLY crippling. -
I just purchased and downloaded Logic 9. I had Logic 8 previously installed. What the **** happened to my Logic 8. It's gone along with the sounds and my my G4 mastering Folder. And... where are all these sounds stored on my computer I can't find them?...

Where are the rdl files on my reporting server etc?
Hi. We run 2008 R2 and I'm poking around to find out what I can about the reporting services servers here. I'm focused on one report Report1 whose source I believe I've found in our version control. I can also run it from one of our
Wickis and I see the url as http: followed by //servername followed by /ReportServer/Pages/ReportViewer.aspx?/Intranet%2fCredentialing%2freportfilename&rc:Toolbar=True.
I cannot log into that server under ssms when choosing server type Reporting Services. Why? The error I get is the username or password is not valid or you do not have permission to access this server.(....RSClient). What can I do to get

Generally speaking, you need the "System Administrator" system role in SSRS. That combined with the "Content Manager" user role will allow you to administrate all aspects of the system. By default, users in the built-in administrators
group on the windows server will have these permissions. If you don't have access you'll need someone who does explicitly grant permissions to you or get temporary access and do so yourself.
With proper permissions, you can access the SSRS settings through SSMS by typing <YourURL>/ReportServer.
