Where are my proxies?
I have tried checking the proxies option during import into FCP X 10.1.2 and I have also tried right clicking on the clips in the browser inside FXP X and creating proxies that way. However, I don't see any proxies anywhere in either situation. Am I looking in the wrong place?

If you have successfully created Poxies you can tell by looking in the Inspector window under Info:
Note the GREEN dot, if no Proxy is available for this example the green dot would have a RED triangle like the Optimised choice.
Green = you have one.
Red = you don't.
They end up in the default Transcoded media folder in the Library>Package Contents:

Pages 08 Template images -where are they saved?
I know Pages 08 does not have clip art but I like many of the pictures on the templates. I want to use some of the template images (like the cat.tiff or frog.tiff) on a blank document. Copying & pasting works but I'd rather be able to see all the template tiffs at once. Where are the template images(tiffs) located on my hard drive. Is there a specific iWork folder I can find them in?

The images are "buried" in each template which is buried in the Pages application. You can find them by Control- or right-clicking on the Pages application > Show package contents > Contents > Resources > Templates & then the folder for the template category you want. Then Control- or right-clicking on the template icon > Show package contents > Contents where you will find the actual images.
Or you can just copy & paste from an open template. -
Where are my photos on the PC after synching with an iphone? I know nobody out there is stupid enough to suggest to me that they are encrypted and inaccessible, right? Seriously? How stupid would Apple corporation have to be to do something like this? That would be just as foolish as making my music unusable on the PC...
Okay, Let's assume that Apple is indeed THAT foolish.......How does one get the photos from the phone to the PC and still use them?The photos are still on your phone, and if enabled in your Photo Stream. They are not automatically transferred to your computer when syncing.

Where are printer drivers stored in OS 10.8?
I am trying to set up a Epson Stylus Photo R3000 as a new printer on OS 10.8. The printer setup locates the printer and automatically selects Epson Stylus R3000 with the notation "The selected printer software is available from Apple. Click Add to download and add this printer." However, clicking on Add leads eventually to an error message: "Can't install the software for the EPSON Epson Stylus Photo R3000 because it is not currently available fromthe Software Update server." This result blocks me from setting up the printer.
I know the driver is part of the Epson driver software package that is installed with OS 10.8. I would like to select it manually. My question is where are printer drivers stored? How do I select a driver?
Thanks in advance!While a bit of a stretch, you can download the entire Epson printer package from Apple and install it. This will include all drivers for all Epson devices as opposed to the one just for your system. The package is 1GB in size, but will include everything supported.

In mail, how do you increase font sizes in a reply. Cannot find things like "underline", "italic" etc either. Where are they? Entourage was easier!!
Preferences/Compsing/set to Rich Text (only then you can use bold etc).
Then Rightclick the toolbar in Mail, and clcik Customize the toolbar.
Put the icons (with or without text) that you want on your toolbar. -
Where are my Camera Roll pics n videos saved in iTunes(Laptop) when I backed up my iPhone to iTunes?
I backed up my iPhone today in order to save my Camera Roll pictures and videos safely in my Laptop and then I deleted them from my iPhone to make some free space.... And I want those pictures and videos in future back into my iPhone. So I know I must restore my iPhone from back up to get back the camera roll pics and vids. But what I want to know is, where are those pictures and videos saved in my Windows Laptop when I backed up my iPhone to iTunes today? There must be some folder of iTunes or somewhere in the iTunes software where they must be saved after backing up. I want to see them on my Laptop now but how can I do that?
I did not import them, I backed up my iPhone to my Laptop using iTunes.
I want to see those pictures on my Laptop since I deleted them from my iPhone after backing up. Where are they in my Laptop now???they are in the backup file that, sadly, is not accesible unless you restore it to a phone... if you want/need access to them, you should import them

When I back up my musical files where are they stored?
I got a nano a couple of years ago and put all my albums on it (synced through i-tunes). I hadn't used my nano for a few months and when I went back to it my library seemed to have been replaced.......is it possible that my teenage son overwrote the nano?. Where are my files actually backed up - would it be on the laptop I used during the backup process (even though I was signed on to I-tunes at the time) or are they in fact backed up remotely through the I-tunes site.
It is all so confusing - and frustrating.
I searched for my song library on my Click-free back up device but it does not seem to have stored the songs.....just stored the link to I-tunes.
Could somebody direct me on how to solve my problem.
cheersYour music should be in your iTunes library on your computer, and can be synced back to your nano as you did originally. Have you opened iTunes and clicked on Music to see if your music is still there?

Where are the drivers for HP LaserJet 5P for Windows 8.1 (64bit)?
Had been using HP LaserJet 5p printer with HP LaserJet 5p printer driver, but had printer disconnect for a few months due to not have black toner. Now I want to use the printer and my control panel does not show HP Laser 5p printer for my tablet but shows it for my laptop. You cannot use iCloud Storage to suppliment your iPad. They are mainly used to backup iPad.

Not to repaet myself, but... where are my ebooks?
I sync-ed iTunes 10.6.3.25 on Win7 with new iPad3 WiFi/3G and iTunes shows (on my PC) that I have 590 "ebooks" (PDF's & a few epub's) on my iPad, but for the life of me I can't seem to get to them on the iPad3 itself. If I open iTunes on the iPad3 it only shows a bland grey screen with a link to the "iTunes Stores Terms and Conditions…"? And my iBooks is empty, so is Acrobat Reader which I installed?

Alright it's probably a stupid question but I just bought a new mac that came with leopard.I used boot camp to partition and install windows vista on my new mac. Everything worked fine until I had to install the drivers.I don't know where the drivers are. They supposed to be in the leopard dvd that i don't have. Where are the drivers?
Hi Obe7,
the Mac OSX install disc that you used to install Leopard on your Mac is a 'hybrid'-disc, which contains an OSX part (only visible while in OSX) and a Windows part (only visible while in Windows).
The BootCamp 2.0 drivers are on the Windows part of that disc.
While in Windows insert that disc and usually the driver installation starts automatically.
If not, use the Windows Explorer to navigate to the disc and start the 'setup.exe' file manually.

First Screen Capture: Computer does not recognize that a TouchScreen is an active device. [This indicates a driver is damaged and/or missing]
Second Screen Capture: There are no Tablet PC Settings available. [This confirms that the driver is missing]
HP needs to upload TouchScreen Drivers to its' support downloads immediately.
