Where are my puchased songs.

about a year ago all my songs on my Ipod disappeared. When I attempted to reconnect to Itunes to restore, I had gotten a new computer and the old one was unable to even start. I copied some from the hard drive but I was never able to access all the songs I previously purchased and was not able to make any playlists. I have limped along for a while but now have new computer so I want to get my library back. Any way?

Hey cagraham!
I have an article for you that will help you download your past purchases:
Downloading past purchases from the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBooks Store

Your purchases won't automatically show in your new Mac's iTunes library. If you go into iTunes > Preferences and on the Store tab tick the 'show iTunes in the cloud purchases' then what you can redownload should show in the Music part of your library with a cloud icon against them - click on the cloud to download them. Or click on your name towards the top right of iTunes and then click Purchased on the popup, and you can redownload them from there.
If you've moved countries since buying the music, or if the rights-holders have removed them from the store, then you won't be able to redownload them. In that case if you still have your old computer then you could copy them over from that (e.g. via an external drive : How to move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Support or via home sharing), or copy them from your backup of your downloads/library and add them via File > Add Too Library

  • Bought new computer, Logged in, so where are my purchased songs?

I finally was able to authorize and log into my account but my already purchased songs do not show up. Where are they and how do I get them back?

Sorry, but you only get one download per purchase. If you have the tracks on an iPod, you can transfer them back from the iPod to iTunes. Alternatively, you can, if the hard drive in the old system still works, remove the drive from the old system and mount it on your new computer (if you have a Firewire or USB drive case, mount it in that, or you can get this not-too-expensive drive adapter) and you should be able to copy them from the drive into iTunes.
If the drive has failed completely, you don't have the tracks on an iPod, and you didn't make a backup as iTunes itself advises, you're probably out of luck and will need to repurchase your tracks. You can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis, but don't count on it.

  • Where are my deleted songs?!?!

I selected the songs from my library that i wanted to get rid of and click the delete button. when it asked me if i wanted to keep them or move them to the trash i click the keep button. Now i dont know where those songs are! Can you help?

The songs you deleted are still on your hard disk; to see them, navigate to the iTunes library, which is ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/ by default, where ~ is the folder in the Finder's sidebar with the house icon, and locate the accompanying files.
If you've moved the iTunes library or turned off the option to automatically copy files to the iTunes Music folder when they are added to the library, they could be anywhere accessible to the computer; perform a search in the Finder.

  • Where are my missing songs

My iTunes library no longer has many of the songs that were once there. This is not my imagination. For example, I have ten versions of "Stardust" in my iPod, which were of, course, downloaded from my iTunes library. However, I now only have two versions there. This is only one example. I suspect that there may be over a hundred missing songs.
I have searched for the songs with "Spotlight, but that didn't help. Are there any other ways of searching for missing songs?
Finally, how do I find the total number of songs in my iTunes library and in my iPod Nano? I would like to see just how many missing songs there are.

To find out the number of songs in itunes, open it, and click on music and it should say the number of items in music at the bottom of the itunes window in the frame. You can also look at the song files in your itunes folder in itunes music. Then you can check and see if the actual files are there whether or not they are showing up in itunes.
I found the total number of songs thanks to you. The figures so small and out-of-the-way, that I've missed them time after time. However, I couldn't follow your next tip. I don't see any "iTunes folder," and I don't know how to access it. How do I find them?

In your iphone/ipod/ipad go to itunes store then "more" and the music should be there
In the pc/mac go to itunes then itunes store-> scroll down a little bit and on your right  there should be a "purchase"

  • Where are iPhoto theme songs?

I am running mountain lion and I want to use the iPhoto 11 theme music for other things. my question is, were can i find it

    Noah:
Use Spotlight to search for one of the songs in my screenshot.
That should find the music file whereve it is on your hard drive. Next hold down the Command (⌘) and double click on the music file in the Spotlight search list.
You'll be taken to the folder holding the file where you can COPY them to the Desktop and then move them to where you want to store them permanently.

  • After installing lion, where are my iTunes songs and programs?

After I installed lion, my entire itunes library was wiped out and I cant find iwork or office.

All of your iTunes library should be in /users/~/Music/itunes (` is your user folder name)
For the apps you are not seeing, did you look in the Application folder?

  • Where are my purchased songs??!!

HElP! I've been at this for a day now. I purchased a song that I liked with a gift card I just recieved. There were a few error messages during and after the purchase, but nothing seemed to be completely wrong. I noticed that 0.99 had been taken off of the gift card, but I had no song. Apple just sent me an e-mail acknowledging my request for help, and prompted me to read some of the iTunes store articles THAT I HAVE ALREADY READ!!! I sent an e-mail, reported a problem, signed in and out, but nothing works. Can SOMEONE help me??
    Thanks...

What I do when my songs don't show up is...
    1.Open I-tunes
2.At the top click on the "Store" scrool-down button
    3.Then select "Check For Purchases..."
Then Your Songs Should Show Up

They will only be where you put them.  They do not magically appear in new places.
Have you copied them from your old computer to your new one?

  • I simply have suggestions: I think u should be able to store whatever u have on any devices to iCloud. For example: it shouldnt matter where I have my songs from, we long as they are on my devices I should be able to save them on iCloud.
