Where are my purchased movies?

I know this is probably really obvious, but.....
I purchased a movie from my Apple TV. Isn't that movie supposed to show up somewhere in my Mac's itunes?
Where do I see my cloud movies?

From here > Apple - iCloud - Store and back up your content in iCloud.
Purchased Movies can be found b clicking Movies under LIBRARY in the source list left side of the iTunes Store window.

They're in the iTunes folder, in iTunes Media or iTunes Music depending on when your iTunes was first installed. The iTunes folder by default is in My Documents/Music.

They should have downloaded into the Videos app (iTunes on the iPad is just the iTunes store) :
If they aren't in there then have you got a film age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding them ?

Where are all the movies to rent? The lineup is horrendous. I keep hoping that one day there will be a ton of content. So far it’s severely limited. I thought a bunch of movie studios signed up for this.

I'm with you I am a Si Fi junkie and the SiFi channel is not even on their list of stations, but the main flux is there are a whole bunch of really great shows that I would love to see. I figure Apple is charging a premium for TV and Movie content, why than is the Apple offerings so small, I would think it would be to there interest to offer a huge library as its maturing you would think they would be more fulfilling in supply. I love they way I can watch shows and don't have to fast forward through them, But am missing a whole lot of shows that could be offered. Must be a big process for them to put there restrictions of use making it harder and a longer process to add content, Come on Apple give Apple TV more resources, before the competition matures and people are renting from other sources.I really enjoy the Apple TV quality and ease of use, but there will be a time when PC comes out with an easer and as good of quality UI with a larger library. So where is all the content?

Sorry, but you only get one download per purchase. If you have the tracks on an iPod, you can transfer them back from the iPod to iTunes. Alternatively, you can, if the hard drive in the old system still works, remove the drive from the old system and mount it on your new computer (if you have a Firewire or USB drive case, mount it in that, or you can get this not-too-expensive drive adapter) and you should be able to copy them from the drive into iTunes.
If the drive has failed completely, you don't have the tracks on an iPod, and you didn't make a backup as iTunes itself advises, you're probably out of luck and will need to repurchase your tracks. You can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis, but don't count on it.

Why are my purchased movies from apple TV not appearing in itunes?

I have purchased movies on both my itunes and apple tv. However, my apple tv movies do not appear on my itunes. I would like to either have them all on my itunes or all on my apple tv (or is it iCloud??).

If a movie is removed from the iTunes store then yes you would lose it.
I think you misunderstand what icloud is, there is no 'raw contents'.
iCloud allows for reloading of past purchases (it is simply accessing what is on the storefront), syncing contents between devices and backup of mobile data. It is different from say something like dropbox.

According to About this Mac, Get info...my movie storage is over 100 gig but can't seem to find it anywhere on my computer? I've got about 20Gig in my Movies and Music folder but can't seem to see anything else anywhere. Where esle can I check?

Thanks Macjack. So I've got 100 Gig in Dropbox in my user folder...I didn't think drop box would take up space on your computer? I tought I could transfer everything off my computer into dropbox, and delete everything in my computer folders that I transfered to dropbox? I tried to do this but everything disappeared in Drop box and my user folder. Must they be the same and is the information then duplicated?
So what I did was copied everything in my documents and my iPhoto library into dropbox. Then deleted everything in my documents folder (not iPhotos cuz that's still transferring over!) and after a day or two everything was gone from dropbox as well...luckily I had it all backed up and was able to bring it back. So is everything duplicated then? On my computer and drop box?

Where are the downloaded movie files for iTunes stored?

Im trying to find the files on my time machine to restore some movies I had in Itunes. I can't download them again from itunes for some reason so I am trying to restore the files from the time machine. I need to know where on my mac the movies and tv shows I've downloaded from iTunes are stored on my computer Any help would be greatly apreciated.

They're located inside the Music:iTunes:iTunes Media folder of your home folder unless you told iTunes to look elsewhere for its library.

In preferences, I see where it says the music is stored and I relocated it to another drive. I cannot find my movies and videos. Where do they get stored?

If you have iTunes set to keep your library organized, videos and movies are store the same place as music. Television shows are in a folder called TV Shows and movies in a folder called Movies. However, you can check this by clicking on a movie, video or television show in iTunes, Get Info and the look at the bottom of the Summary Tab. It will tell you exactly where it's stored. And, though I'm only guessing as I don't have a Windows box to test it on, that if you select something and right click on it, you'll see and option called something like "Show in Explorer" which will take you right to where the file is stored.

I have downloaded two Ultra Violet Movies on my MacBook Pro but cannot locate the physical files anywhere. I have only been using my MacBook for just over a year so I am still learning.
I have tried using finder and checking the downloads section but no joy. I would appreciate any helpful tips to point me in the right direction

Where are my purchases?

I just bought a new laptop because my older one is fried. I downloaded ITunes and try to find some of the audio books I purchased and there are no where to be found.
So then I started looking at my music and sure enough some songs aren't there.
I went to the support website but nothing there applies to what I need since my Itunes doesn't show "available for download" which seems to be the only option on the site I out of luck for at the moment.
Does anyone know how to help me out?

That's the reason. Go to the other computer, right-click on one, choose Get Info, find its location, and copy that song as well as all other purchased music to the first computer; next, drag it into the open iTunes window.
