Where are older Recommended Patch Clusters located?

My project is spec'd to use the June 2009 Recommended Patch Cluster release, but I can't find the previous patch cluster releases. Is there anywhere on the Sun site that I can find the older patch clusters?

I ended up calling out Sun support, and after about a week he got back with us and said that although usually such a patch is available on a DVD he recieves every month, the June 2009 DVD was pulled due to "quality issues". Thank you both for your support.

Where are the actual Aperture files located? Only in the application? I am transitioning to Lightroom and would like to only move some of the files. Advice appreciated. Also anyone know how to transfer in with edits? Using iMac, OS X, most recent Aperture and Lightroom 5.7 with plugin for Aperture.

    Define "the Aperture files".
    Read this concise guide.
The files you imported into an Aperture Library can be exported (at any time, and repeatedly) using the command "File ▹ Export ▹ Originals".  Your Originals are never altered.  What went in is what comes out.
Adjustments and changes to the metadata that you made since creating an Image in Aperture by importing a file are saved to a text file.  This file is combined, on-the-fly, with the Original to create the Image that you see in Aperture.  There is no file saved to disk that is the full-size Image.  Thumbnails are saved, and Previews are saved.  These are JPG files, almost always smaller than the Original.  They are not substitutes for the Image for the use you have.
When you need a file of an Image to use in another program, you export the Image from Aperture.  "Export" means "Make me a file of this Image according to these file specs I'm providing".  The way to get files of your adjusted Images is simple:  create them by exporting.  Specify "Original size", and use a loss-less image-file format (e.g. TIFF 16-bit) if you want to retain as much visual information as possible.
Search the Web for information about transitioning from Aperture to Lightroom.  Note that I say "transitioning".  You cannot move a database from one format to another without significant changes, and likely some loss of information.  Adobe provides a tool and some instructions.  I strongly recommend working out the process step-by-step, and then proceeding with first a few Images, then a bushel-ful, and stopping to use the first few, the the bushel-ful, before committing your entire collection to the process.
As always, never use any computer file without having a back-up.
We have seen mixed reports here of the success of the LR tool that creates a LR database from your Aperture database.
If you want to carefully define the process, and test and refine it, use the excellent process-development, analysis, and execution program inShort.
Sadly, there is not and can never be a good, thorough re-positioning of the digital assets in your Aperture Library to become digital assets in a LR database.  Just as a metaphor for any user contemplating transitioning to another digital asset manager:  that would be like digging up a house in one country, planting it in a hole in another country, and expecting to be able to use the toilet and the sinks, turn on the lights, cook dinner, and sleep soundly.

    Kirby.

  • Where are all the Develop Presets located?

In the Develop Preset folder (Vista: C:\Users\Howie\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Develop Presets) there are only a few presets listed instead of all the creative and sharpening presets as seen in the Quick Develop "saved preset" drop down. Where are all the other presets located?
Note: my goal is to look at each creative preset to see just what settings are being applied.

Don - that is not what he is asking.
Howie - I have no idea where they are stored on Windows - from a quick exploration I guess they are in the Application .exe file. On the Mac you can get into this, but I'm not sure you can on a PC
However the simplest thing to do is Apply a Preset and Note what is does in the Develop Module. That will be what the Preset is trying to do.
Alternatively Apply the Preset and Create a New Preset with a Different Name, it will have the same settings.

  • SunOS 5.11,  there are whether Recommended patches?

I downloaded and install solaris 10, relise 6/06, sparc.
    uname show me "SunOS 5.11".
I tryed install 10_Recommended, but system says that incompatible release.
There are where Recommended patches for this kernel?

SunOS 5.11 is the kernel version for Solaris Express (aka Solaris.next) not Solaris 10. Can you please check again on what you downloaded and installed? Since this version is still under development, there are no patches for it. Instead, the content is refreshed regularly.

  • Where are the FrameMaker 10 dictionaries located?

My FrameMaker 10 installation seems to be doing British English rather than American English. In the spelling checker, I do import dictionary, but can't find any! The dictionary directory on the DVD seems to contain invalid dictionaries.
So where are they hiding, and how do I install dictionaries for different languages?
The Adobe documentation http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FrameMaker/10.0/Using/WSEAAD5A3B-FC22-4c2a-BB76-16EC81643B34.h tml never says where to find the dictionaries. Only site.dict is in my dict directory.

    Jim,
The dictionaries are located in a Lingusitics folder common to Adobe installations. The exact location varies depending upon the O/S. However, you do not/cannot import any of these files - FM automatically uses the specified dictionary of the paratag or character tag containing the word in question. This allows you to mix languages in a single document.
You can tell FM to Learn a word for your Personal dictionary though via the SpellChecker.
FWIW, in my FM10 installations, both spellings are allowed with US English, whereas the UK English flags the "center" spelling.
Note: the message from FM about "no inserion point" indicates that you didn't do the global update correctly.

  • Where are config.py type scripts located for 11g?

Not sure if this is the right forum, but I just installed OEPE which includes the WLS 10.3 server, and I can't seem to find the config.py and config.properties scripts used to build servers. Where are these located now or what do I need to install? Using the package: oepe (dash) helios (dash) installer (dash) 11.1.1.7.0.201101271036-win32.exe.

  • Recommended Patch Clusters and Zones

    Good Afternoon,
Ran into a problem earlier this week and wanted to get other views on this. Our current configuration is as followed:
Global zone installed on Local Disk (ZFS)
5 - Non-global whole root zones installed on SAN disk (ZFS)
No Live Upgrade (Will eventually get to this)
Never have had any problems until I attempted to install the latest Patch Cluster because of Comms Suite 7. I shutdown all of the non-global zones and shutdown the Global zone to init S. I then started my Patch Cluster install. The Patch Cluster appears to start all of the zones up in an Administrative Mode for patching. The problem was that when it go to the kernel patch, 141414-10, it appeared to install in the Global but none of the non-global zones were updated. The Patch then stopped on 141414-10 (Patch 109 of 155). I did finally get the patch cluster to install after some work and a support call.
My question is this the proper way to install the Patch Clusters? I've been told that you have to "mount" the zones manually but wouldn't that defeat the purpose of being single-user?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Doug

I tend to use LU to create a new BE and then patch that. Then activate the new BE and reboot.
Saves a lot of pain and gives a safe fall back option.

  • Where are all the phantom photos located?

I am using iPhoto 5. I delte photos, or edit photos. My iPhoto albums reflect the changes. I am using my photos as a screem saver. The photos I deleted or edited keep coming up on my screen. Where are they and how do I get rid of them?
    Deanna

    Deanna,
Instead of using the iPhoto Library folder by choosing that folder within the screensaver preference pane...within iPhoto, choose and album or highlight the library in the source column and then click the screensaver icon in the toolbar.
You now will only get the edited photos and the originals that you have not edited for the screensaver.
The originals of the edited photos will not show up in the screensaver this way.
If you still want to get rid of the originals of the edited photos, use this program but read all the info on the site first.
To get back some of the space your iPhoto Library is taking up on your hard drive you can use http://pages.cpsc.ucalgary.ca/~fuhrer/personal/freestuff/iphotodiet/iPhoto Diet
    Quoted from the web site:
iPhoto Diet is a utility that helps to slim down your iPhoto library by manipulating your photos in the following ways:
*eliminate duplicate photos created internally by iPhoto or imported by yourself
*remove iPhoto's backups of rotated or modified photos
*strip the thumbnail icons of your photos
*remove thumbnail photos that have become mixed up with your high resolution photos
*identify photos which have not been added to albums
weed out unnecessary folders and files from the library
    and more!
I suggest you read through the entire page because it expalins what iPhoto does and how it does it.
If you say to yourself "I can go through the originals folders right in the Finder and get rid of the images I no longer want" then you need to read On iPhoto 5, Originals, and GUI Scripting which will explain what happens if you do it yourself.

  • Satellite L650 - Where are the Office setup files located

    Hey there
I have a problem with office 2007 on my L650 and need to locate the setup files/cabs to run the setup program again.
Anyone have any ideas where the files are located?
    Cheers
BTW the prob with Office is when I click a file to open in office (ie: work.docx) spits up an error saying action only valid for products installed!
yet the icon is there and everything is installed, this only happened 2 days ago for no apparent reason.
I tried to go directly to the MS Office folder and initialise word from the 'EXE' and this gave me an out of memory error.
Tried to uninstall from Control Panel and still a different error came up.
Anyways if anyone can help please.

As far as I know the Office is preinstalled on the notebook and you cannot restart the installation furthermore its just an trial version and if you want to have a full version, you have to make a purchase.
In your case I see just one solution: the unit needs to be set to factory settings again to get Office working again.

  • Where are Pantone color library file locations for InDesign CC?

I cannot believe how difficult it is to find this information. It should be a quick search in the regular Help system.
I'd really like to find the file locations for Illustrator CC and Photoshop CC too, because I need to update my Pantone libraries, but every place I can find to save them does not seem to be the default location, so I end up with a really long dropdown menu of strangely duplicated library names, and I have no idea how to clean it up or where the program is looking to give me that list.
As far as I can tell, the default libraries are located whereever that first set is. The lower sets must be somewhere else, but I don't know where, because I've deleted all Pantone sets but one that I could find, but I can still see them (and the other non-pantone color books) duplicated in the lower sets.
Please help! Also, Adobe, if you see this, this information should be READILY and EASILY found through the main Help menu in any Adobe product.

@Maurizio – the standard settings, the joboption files with the brackets like [PDF/X-1a:2001] are stored inside the inDesign app for InDesign CC 9.2.1.
The path for these would be:
    /Applications/Adobe InDesign CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Resources/Adobe PDF/settings/mul
or with a Japanese version of InDesign:
    /Applications/Adobe InDesign CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Resources/Adobe PDF/settings/japan
If you do a right-click on the InDesign app you can show them with "Show Package Contents" options.
All other PDF joboptions that you are creating are relative to your current User Library. They are stored in:
    ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PDF/Settings
Where the tilde sign at the beginning indicates the home of the currently used user.
You can access ~/Library, if you press the alt key when accessing the "Go To" menu in the Finder. Otherwise it's invisible.

    Mavericks 10.9.5
    Garage Band
I have just started downloading the lessons in Garage Band
I would like to know where the 500mg files are stored to backup/or delete if need be.

The lessons are stored in the Library:
    /Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Learn to Play/
To open the folder quickly, use the Finder's "Go" menu:
    Go > Go to Folder
    and enter
         /Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Learn to Play/

If think you might want the lessons later, keep a backup. The lessons are not always available from the Store. Quite a few posters here had problems to download them again.

  • Where are the Spry Javascript files located in Dreamweaver CS4?

I am sure this is a trivial question but I cannot find them.
The Adobe Web site states that Dreamweaver CS4 ships with Spry 1.6. I am trying to create a SpryNestXMLDataSet, but cannot find where the js file is stored, to copy it to my site. I do not see anything in the insert Spry data set wizard that allows me to create a nested XML data set. Thus, I can get Dreamweaver to add the xpath.js and the SpryData.js files, but I cannot figure out how to add the SpryNestXMLDataSet.js file, nor find a copy within the Dreamweaver program files.
    Thanks,
    Van

    Hello Van,
Dreamweaver only includes the Spry files that can be configured using
the DW GUI. As there isn't a nested XML configurator yet, its not
    included in dreamweaver.
On Mac you can find the Spry files here: /Applications/Adobe
    Dreamweaver CS4/configuration/Shared/Spry/
On Windows its probably something like c:/program files/adobe/
    dreamweaver cs4/configuration/shared/spry/ But i don't own a windows
    pc so I cant tell
