Where are original discs which come with macbook pro 15inch?
I bought a macbook pro. The discs did not come in the box.
What should i do in order to get the discs.
There are no disks if it came with Lion installed.
In the past the discs were only necessary for recovery. With Lion, you don't need disks for recovery, you restart your mac with Cmd-R held down when you power on. Be sure to be connected to the internet when you want to do a recovery.

Where are the Dual Microphones on 15" MacBook Pro Retina Late 2013?
I have just bought a 15inch macbook pro retina late 2013. on the site it mentiones that on the side there are dual microphones but no matter how hard and close i look at the side where the two thunderbolts, headphone jack, USB and Magsafe are i can not see them!!!
any one else have this issue, have i missed something???? have apple decided to cover these two little holes?There might be some confusion about the dual array microphone:

That's those two tiny black dots on the left side. Must be some kind of phased array to track multiple people talking like for FaceBook.

It's actually the headphone jack, which is stereo and can be flipped as a stereo input (didn't know that).

I have bought a Macbook Pro Retina, and the iPhoto which comes with it, has a different iPhoto Book menu. I cannot see how to put text at the bottom of the pages of photographs, instead of the default place in the middle. Is there a way to do this?
There are different templates for iPhoto books and they differ from version of iPhoto to iPhoto, so explore the other options.

How can I upgrade the OS on my 5 year old MacBook Pro 17. It is currently running 10.4 (Tiger). I have an IMac 27 running Lion but have Snow leopard discs which came with the purchase. Can these be used to upgrade?

If they are the grey discs which came with the iMac, then they will be machine specific and will not work on the MBP anyway. You will need to purchase a retail copy of Snow Leopard from the Apple Store for about $29 and upgrade from that. I presume your MBP is Intel and not G4.

What type of file is the attachment ? You first need an app on your iPad then supports the type of file that you want to save on the iPad - unlike a 'normal' computer the iPad doesn't have a file system, and everything on it has to be associated with an app. If you have an app that supports the type of file that you want to save, then pressing and holding the attachment might (if the app supports it) give a popup with options to save ('open in') the attachment in your app.

I purchased the Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 about 6 months ago. I want to install it to my new computer which is a Macbook Pro with no CD Drive. How do I install it when I got it in CD form?
I doubt the license is affecting the performance - it might be a case of the software being too old for the machine.
In any case, you can contact Adobe support thru chat and have them reset your activation count to eliminatre your doubts regarding the license.

Installing Photoshop CS4 from original Disk onto my new Macbook Pro. Serial number accepted but now asks for the serial number of a previous version e.g. CS3 which I no longer keep. How do I resolve ?
Tina Hadley did you migrate/transfer your applications over to your new Macintosh? If so this could cause problems with your serial number being recognized. Please run the available uninstallers located in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Once this is done you will also want to run the CC Cleaner Tool. PC will not read disc which came with N95 8GB Phon...
Upgraded to N95 8GB. So far so good, then !!!. Came back from hols to link with PC to find that the CD drive and DVD drive will not read the disc which came with the phone. PC will still read other discs but not the Nokia disc. What is the disc format and can I get what is on the disc elsewhere?
It's probably just a damaged disc. You can download the PC Suite software from www.nokia.com/pcsuite, as far as I know you can't get replacement CDs.

I upgraded from iPhone 3G to 4S a few days ago. When setting up the new 4S, I choose to restore my last 3G backup. It started by updating the OS to version 5.1 (9B179) then restored my apps and setting. Everything went well except that I realized I do not have the new apps which come with the 4S, like FaceTime, HD video and Siri.
What should I do to correct this?
Thank you in advance for any help on this.Ah, FaceTime is not an app, either. It's accessed by tapping the FaceTime button when you are in the contacts app and have selected a contact. This can also be done from the Phone app under the Contacts tab, or during a call, you can switch to FaceTime.

I am buying a new macbookpro which comes with Lion. Lion has Quicktime X. Logic Studio comes with Quicktime Pro 7. Do I have to download Quicktime 7, or will Logic Studio work fine with the Quicktime X player? Will there be a Quicktime Pro X soon?
your new lion-machine should have quicktime 7, too. if it doesn't, and if it doesn't show up after you migrated your stuff from you old machine you can always reinstall it from the logic dvd's, it's part of logic. my recommendation is to always use quicktime 7, since it's got many features that are absent in quicktime x. quicktime x is nothing but a polished video player. in quicktime 7 (pro, comes with logic) you can even do edits and paste your music onto video files. i use it all the time, especially since logic 64bit doesn't export to video anymore.
