Where are photos stored after backup

I need to factory reset my iPhone 5 and was wondering if anyone could tell me where my photos are stored because I do not want to lose them in the process. I am working on a MacBook Pro.
I would love it if I could even acess them and put them on other devices (without iCloud).

You should be importing them to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera.
The backup is only for use in restoring an iphone.

  • Where are Pix saved after backup? iphone 5 - Windows 7.

iPhone 5. Windows 7. When I syched my prior iPhone 3 to this computer, there would be a pop-up asking me where to save my pictures & vids. Apparently, by default, it would create a dated folder in My Pictures and import anything new there. Since I have had the iPhone 5, when I synch it and back it up, I cannot locate where on the computer the pictures and vids are saved. I do not use iCloud or streaming and do not want to. I have looked online for help. I have enabled autoplay to Import Pictures and Videos using Windows. When I access My Computer through the start menu, I do not see an icon for the iPhone, so I cannot follow any suggestions using that route to manually import.
    Thanks.

  • HT201317 What happens to photos stored after 30 days on icloud?

What happens to photos stored after 30 days on icloud?

Photos are deleted from PhotoStream in the cloud after 30 days, regardless of the number of photos stored there.
Once synced to your device, they will remain there indefinitely until you hit 1000 photos in the PhotoStream album on the phone, at which point the oldest photos will be deleted and newer photos will replace them.

SQL Developer 1.5 where are connections stored?

    The connections are in
    C:\Documents and Settings\Application Data\SQL Developer/system1.5.0.53.38/o.jdeveloper.db.connection.11.1.1.0.22.49.35/connections.xml
If you want to back them up, you can just right-click export from the tree.

Where are passwords stored on my hard drive/ folder, can I access them and alter them. Can I add passwords to that file/ folder.

Using the Saved Password Editor may be overkill for most users. The quickest way to manipulate saved passwords in Firefox is on the menu bar go to:
Tools -> Options -> Security -> Saved Passwords -> Show Passwords

  • Where are Applets stored in WinNT/IE5.5

    Hi Folks,
A client is receiving an error saying (not exact)
    Java.Lang error cannot find ...class
In Winnt\Downloaded Program Files, Java 1.3.1 is saying it is damaged.
I have reinstalled IE 5.5 but the error remains.
How can I reinstall Java, and/or the Applet.
Where are Applets stored in WinNT/IE5.5?
    Thanks in Advance.
    Steve

Before you reinstall your JRE/JVM have you tried it in other browsers such as Mozilla, Netscape Navigator, Opera, or others? IExp has taken a giant leap BACKWARDS (IMO) in that it doesn't ship the latest JVM, so it's probably just a browser issue. If its your own applet that you are trying to load, if it works in the appletviewer then there's nothing wrong with your JVM.

Where are my documents after conversion?

After conversion you will be prompted to download the converted file.  We do not store converted files on our servers with the ExportPDF system.

  • Where are photo files physically stored on a Mac?

When using Photos, I have the option checked to Download Originals to this Mac.  Now, how do I find my photos in Finder?  I like to keep a physical backup as well as a copy in the cloud.  I have about 100 photos on my iPhone.  Plugged it in and told it to import new.  But, I can't find anywhere that will tell me where it is stored on my hard drive.

I like to keep a physical backup as well as a copy in the cloud.
    Two ways to do this;
    1. Back up the Photos library to external:
    Most Simple Back Up:
Drag the Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
Slightly more complex: Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically.
Example of such apps: Chronosync - but there are many others. Search on MacUpdate or the App Store
    2. Just back up the Originals?
File -> Export -> Export Unmodified Originals will produce the images exactly as imported.

  • Where are settings stored (foldeer/ini file/Registry)? Backup settings poss

Where are the settings of SQL Developer stored?
Is this a folder, an *.ini file or the Registry?
If it is a folder: Can I change the location of the folder?
    If yes: Where exactly?
How can I otherwise export/save settings otherwise?
    Peter

In your home directory will be created a path like ...\SQL Developer\system1.5.4.59.40
There SQL developer stores the local data.
You can change this path (here ...my_options/system) with th following line in the sqldeveloper.conf, located in path ...\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin:
    # This is to enforce storing of configuration information in the "/my_options/system"
    # subfolder I have created in the SQL-Developer installation directory (instead
    # of in the "C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\SQL Developer"),
    # so that SQL-Developer installation directory can be just copied to another
    # location (e.g. a stick) and along with the configuration information.
    AddVMOption -Dide.user.dir=../../my_options/system
Thanks to Juri W. for this solution!
Before changing the path you should save your connection and custom report - settings via right click -> export in the connection and custom report view, I had to reimport these settings after movimg my directory.

  • Where are emails stored in time machine backups?

I just upgraded to Maverick and am trying to use time machine to restore emails that have disappeared form the inbox. The directions are pretty straightforward except, I can't find where on the most receent backup the inbox and its messages are stored. I am feeling dense and frustrated by my inability to do something that should be easy.

Thank you Arthur & Barry for your advice.
The issue (which I did not explain clearly and perhaps am still fuzzy about) is the actual file location, I think. I have a backup from Sunday which appears in Time Machine. I will try Barry's directions to see if the emails so indeed appear when Mail is open.
Alternatively,  Arthur's advice would mean finding the ~/Library/Mail/V2 folder on the backup disk.  Is that correct?
    Thanks again for your help

  • Where are photo meta files kept?

Where are the meta data files (if that is the correct term) kept for phots that are tagged, key worded, etc. in Phtoshop Elements 8. I screwed up my boot drive and had to re-install all programs. My photo dawere files are safe on another hard drive but I can't find any mycatalogfiles or equivalent on it nor in the image of my boot drive. Thanks for any assistance you all can provide.

The tags and other metadata are kept in the catalog file, and usually this is stored on the C: drive, unless you specifically moved it or created it on a different drive. For PSE8, the file name is *.pse8db. I do not know the default directory (maybe someone else can help), but you can use Windows to search for any file named *.pse8db (you might have to tell Windows to look in hidden directories). Good luck!
If you meant to say you had to re-format the boot drive (you didn't actually say that, but its sort of implied), then your catalog file and the tags and other metadata are gone. I hope you practiced safe computing and made a backup!

  • Where are iBooks stored on the new Mavericks OS?

I was trying to find where Apple is storing the iBooks on Mavericks.  I knew where it was before Mavericks.  I download a lot of books and pdfs from the Internet that I manually add to iBooks and I would like to know where they are being stored.  I am trying to get my wife's mac with the same books and mine.  Right now it is missing a few.  It would be easier to just find where they are stored and copy them than for me to go to all ot these websites and redownload everything.

Creating an OS X-style "alias" is not enough. I haven't tried the following solution (and I won't do it myself as my HDD is big enough, sorry), but the correct way to do this kind of jobs on OS X is to create a "symlink", or "symbolic link", which is a UNIX-style alias (read more about it on Wikipedia if you'd like to). To put it short, you type/paste the following commands into Terminal.app, one at a time (you will be making changes to your system files and you will be prompted for your admin password, which is pretty dangerous if you don't understand the mechanisms—remember to quit iBooks.app first, make backups, and be prepared for any damages):
    sudo mv "~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks" "/Volumes/EXTERNAL DRIVE/PATH TO IBOOKS FOLDER";
    sudo ln -s "/Volumes/EXTERNAL DRIVE/PATH TO IBOOKS" "~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks";
You should change "EXTERNAL DRIVE" to the name of your drive, and replace "PATH TO IBOOKS" with the path you want to store iBooks documents on your external drive. For instance, replacing "PATH TO IBOOKS" with "iBooks" simply creates a directory named "iBooks" under the root directory of your external drive with the iBooks data. Note that after doing this you won't be able to properly use iBooks without connecting the external drive.
This might or might not work, but I hope this helps.
(If this doesn't work, recover to the original state by quitting iBooks.app first, and type/paste the following into Terminal (you might again be prompted for your admin password):
    sudo rm -rf "~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks";
    sudo mv "/Volumes/EXTERNAL DRIVE/PATH TO IBOOKS FOLDER" "~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks";
This will most likely recover your original working state of iBooks.)

  • When I back up my musical files where are they stored?

I got a nano a couple of years ago and put all my albums on it (synced through i-tunes). I hadn't used my nano for a few months and when I went back to it my library seemed to have been replaced.......is it possible that my teenage son overwrote the nano?. Where are my files actually backed up - would it be on the laptop I used during the backup process (even though I was signed on to I-tunes at the time) or are they in fact backed up remotely through the I-tunes site.
It is all so confusing - and frustrating.
I searched for my song library on my Click-free back up device but it does not seem to have stored the songs.....just stored the link to I-tunes.
Could somebody direct me on how to solve my problem.
    cheers

Your music should be in your iTunes library on your computer, and can be synced back to your nano as you did originally.  Have you opened iTunes and clicked on Music to see if your music is still there?

  • Where are photo & other types of files located in iOS 8

Can somebody please tell me where files are stored in iOS 8 ???
Why isn't there a Finder in iOS 8 like there is in OS X ???
I have photos (several hundred) that are stored on my old iPhone 4s, that are not in iCloud, that are more than 30 days old...I can see them in the Photo app on the iPhone, but when I connect to iPhoto or iTunes in OS X, they don't show up...
Why has Apple made it so difficult to do the simplest of things on my iPhone...look at and/or easily transfer files back and forth between my phone and my desktop.
I don't have the time to spend hours researching online to look through a bunch of redundant crap that doesn't actually answer my question.
Syncing is great, if you want that, but like me, not everybody wants or needs that...I would like to see an option for a manual selective file transfer between devices (phone, tablet and notebook/desktop), in addition to a file manager like Finder, in iOS, is that too much to ask.
Sharing everything with everyone is great, but even that has become a cluster*&^%^$&* because of the constant changes with every iOS upgrade and version.
If you're going to change things, please include detailed explanations about how and what those changes are and how they're different from before in the help/support areas.  It seems like I see the same vague phrases and paragraphs in the supposed help areas, with not much help.

    Hi Allan,
Thanks for the quick reply and thanks for the feedback link.
Do you know why I can't see the hundreds of photos stored on my old iPhone 4s, which I believe I had transferred most of via iTunes several years ago with either iOS 5 or 6, in the current iTunes or iPhoto ???
I find this very frustrating because I know they are located on the phone, or at least the data/metadata, is on there.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
