Where are the custom profiles?

Adobe writes: "Submit the lens profiles that you have created for your lens from inside  the Lens Profile Creator to share with the rest of the user community"
Where are all the custom profiles?   Can anyone provide an URL to where the profiles can be downloaded?

New self-made profiles will be put to the correct place by the lens profile creator. Quoting from dpreview's forums:

  • Where are the printer profiles in Mt. Lion 10.8.5? I want to install paper manufacturer's profiles.

I want to install paper manufacturer's profiles. All of my existing profiles were carried over when I upgraded to 10.8 but i do not find anything like the previous Color Sync folder. Where do I put the new profiles? And why can't Spotlight find the existing ones? BTW, I can't find them on my iMac running 10.7.5 either.

    Where are the rest?
Depends. For Epson printers, they're in the /Library/Printers/EPSON/ folder, and that itself varies. For the Stylus Pro 4900, they're in that folder, and then another couple of subfolders deep in InjetPrinter2/ICCProfiles. Sometimes they're tucked away in a .plugin or .framework file within the EPSON folder, or one of its subfolders. In short, they're not always easy to find. At least not with Spotlight.
To make your search way easier, download the free EasyFind. Turn on the check boxes to look within Package contents, and Invisible Files & Folders. There's nothing on the drive that can hide from you. Then do a search for .icc .
But unless your objective is to remove a long list of profiles you'll never use, there's no need to find these other obscure locations OS X lists profiles from. Just put the ones you want to use in either the /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/ folder (if you want all users of that Mac to have access to the profiles), or the ~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/ folder (the tilde means your user account). Only you will have access to the profiles if placed there.

  • Where are the camera profiles? Not showing up in LR 4

The camera profiles are not visible in the camera calibration menu in the develop module of Lightroom 4. I installed them using the installer that came with the profiles. What folder are they supposed to be in so I can use them (Windows 7 x64)? Where is the documentation? Why isn't Adobe answering the phone?

Thanks for your quick reply! I have the 4.1 update installed. I have a Sony SLT A57. It is not inC\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.1\Resources\CameraProfiles
The actual path there looks like:
    C\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.1\Resources\CameraProfiles\lens profiles\camera\adobe standard (empty)
However, I installed rc 4.2 after I wrote to you, and the path to the (Sony) camera profiles is now:C\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.2 RC\Resources\CameraProfiles\Adobe Standard. There is another folder named Camera, under Camera Profiles, in which are Canon, Nikon, and other camera folders - with several different profile choices within each folder. In this other "Camera" folder there are some Sony cameras with different profile choices for each camera in the folder, ie portrait, landscape, vivid, standard. Can I try one of those, or does the program automatically go to my camera model? Are they planning to add these other profile choices for my Sony SLT a57?
The one profile listed in the development menu is "embedded". What is that?
    Thanks, Joanne

  • Where are the custom skins saved?

    Hi,
    I created a custom skin.
Is it saved as a file on the file system?
If yes, where can I find it?
    Thanks,
    Merav.

    Hello there,
Here are the steps for mac.
    1.  Switch to desktop
    2.  Hold Option Key and click 'Go' Menu
    3.  Select the Library (Library is hidden by default and that's why we do this)
    4.  Go to Preferences>Adobe Captivate 6.0>Themes
    5.  Copy the .ini file which you want to distribute
    6.  Now, other user should put them in /Gallery/Themes. When they launch captivate it will be automatically copied to preferences folder.
It is not advisable to directly modify the preferences so ask them to place it in themes folder. If you think it is a good idea to include the skin as part of export preferences workflow, then please mail a feature request to [email protected]
    Thanks,
    Vish

  • Where Are The Custom Preset Files Stored?

I deleted FCS 2 before installing FCS 3 and unfortunately all of my custom presets in Compressor were lost.
I have got Time Machine with the old Compressor but I don't know where the old preset files are stored.
Ideally I would like to copy them to the new version as re-writing them will be a pain, assuming I can still remember what they were!

    Ian,
Now aren't you glad you went to the trouble of setting up Time Machine?

  • Where are the custom export settings saved in Premiere 7.2

In previous versions of Premiere, I could easily find custom export settings I made in Premiere. Now, with the latest upgrade, I can no longer open those settings. I get an error saying they are not valid.
When I create a custom export settind and save it, it is saved and in the list of export settings. I need to copy these settings to distribute to other team members. I name the export setting an unique name, but I cannot find it on my computer. Where does it go? The save window does not have a browse button, just a save button.
Very frustrated with this upgrade so far.

Figured out how to do it.

  • Two hours of futility...where are the camera profiles???

I'm recently upgraded to LR 4.3 RC1 and Photoshop CS6 on my Mac OS10.6. I've read quite a few posts in this forum from people with the same problem. Only Adobe Standard shows up in the camera calibration panel. My Nikon camera is supported, so that's not the issue. I've got CR 7.3, so that's not the issue. Right clicking on the Lightroom appliaction and drilling down through "Show package contents" I see that in Camera Profiles my camera is NOT listed. That seems odd. I tried reloading LR, no help. Reloaded Camera Raw, no help. This seems to be a common problem. It sure would be nice if Adobe would post a relevant help page!

    Hi,
I am not sure about Nikon as I only use Canon but for me I have access to the following Camera Profiles in the drop- down list for the 2012 Process:
    Adobe Standard;
    Camera Faithful
    Camera Landscape
    Camera Neutral
    Camera Protrait, and
    Camera Standard
These are available for both the 5D Mk II and the 7D.
I find that for JPG's (e.g I had a 450D) it usually shows the profile as "Embedded"
If you are using Windows 7 the Camera Raw profiles are in C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles\Camera
and for Lightroom C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.3 RC\Resources\CameraProfiles (Adobe Standard and Camera subfolders)
    Cheers, Don

  • Where are the lens profiles for newer Nikon DSLR products?

There is hardly anything for D800 and newer lenses like 24-120 f/4, 70-200 f/4, 28-300 f/3.5-5.6, etc. Also, I have Lens Profile Downloader 1.0 installed and it works, but I cannot update to 1.0.1. It refules to install:

24-120 f/4, 70-200 f/4, 28-300 f/3.5-5.6, etc. Also, I have Lens Profile Downloader 1.0 installed and it works, but I cannot update to 1.0.1. It refules to install:
There is a Adobe supplied profile in the standard install for the 28-300 (NIKON D3X (Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f3.5-5.6 ED VR) - RAW) and for the 24-120 (NIKON D3X (Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-120mm f4G ED VR) - RAW). Those profiles will work fine for those lenses used on any Nikon body, including crop bodies. The 70-200 f/4 is too new I guess but I am sure it will show up soon. I don't have one (yet) otherwise I would have put up one already as it is trivial to generate these lens profiles yourself.

  • Where are the profiles stored for Profile Manager.

Where are the profiles stored for Profile Manager?
I created a profile attached to a user group and then made the mistake of removing the group without first deleting the profile.
Now the orphan profile can't be managed (it's no longer visible) and is still being pushed out to users.
The group I deleted had another group as it's members.
    Example:
Active Sync User Group was a member of VPN Group.
VPN Group was deleted (it had the VPN settings payload)
Profile with VPN settings are still pushed out to Active Sync User Group even though VPN Group no longer exists.
I'm hoping I can manually remove this profile but I'm thinking it may be contained in Postgres. If that's the case I would appreciate any suggestions/methods to access the database to make modifications.
    Thanks

The information/data for apps is stored together with the app in both the iPad and in the backup on your computer. When you drop a file in the file sharing section of apps it gets added to the backup and to the iPad. When you delete it it get deleted from the backup and from the iPad.

Your music and movies should still be part of the iTunes library on your computer. See if your movies are listed in "movies" in the left window in iTunes.
Photos you took with the phone are part of the last backup, if you did not sync after that. If you did, the data got overwritten.

  • Where are the .joboptions stored on a Mac for InDesign CC?

Where are the .joboptions stored on a Mac for InDesign CC?
I put them in the usual directory:      /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PDF/Settings   .  .  . but they are not seen by InDesign CC.
. . . Photoshop, Illustrator, Distiller and Acrobat are seeing my custom profiles and any default profiles I removed are not there for those apps.
Even older versions of all these apps and InDesign 6 and 5 see my custom profiles.
But InDesign CC only shows the ones shown in the screen shot below:  (High Quality, the PDF/X versions[3], Press and Smallest size)
I know I can probably do a "Load" profile, but that's not the point and I need to remove the default profiles.
I'm in a multiple user environment and need to lock down the use of profiles to our companies select few.
Did a thorough search of the entire Mac and PDF/X- does not even show up.   Any suggestions?     Anyone?    I'm scratchin'  my head at this point.

      This was the correct answer:
Laubender     Jun 2, 2014 12:18 AM  (in response to Maurice Castelbuono)
@Maurizio – the standard settings, the joboption files with the brackets like [PDF/X-1a:2001] are stored inside the inDesign app for InDesign CC 9.2.1.
The path for these would be:
    /Applications/Adobe InDesign CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Resources/Adobe PDF/settings/mul
or with a Japanese version of InDesign:
    /Applications/Adobe InDesign CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Resources/Adobe PDF/settings/japan
If you do a right-click on the InDesign app you can show them with "Show Package Contents" options.
All other PDF joboptions that you are creating are relative to your current User Library. They are stored in:
    ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PDF/Settings
Where the tilde sign at the beginning indicates the home of the currently used user.
You can access ~/Library, if you press the alt key when accessing the "Go To" menu in the Finder. Otherwise it's invisible.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Wireless - Where are the printing shortcuts?????

HP Officejet Pro 8600 Wireless Printer
    Windows 7
    Where are the printing shortcuts?????
I just replaced a canon printer that died that had the concept of PROFILES, so that I could setup a PROFILE for each type of printing, i.e. 4X6 photos/documents/5X7 photos.  So it was easy for our family to print, they would pick each setting.
Now with latest driver for 8600 there are NO way to save a set of settings for a printer.   I have seen some old discussions on this but I just can't believe HP doesn't have this type of functionality in their drivers.  I don't need the ePrint and all the other bogus stuff installed with the 8600 driver, but I DO NEED the ability to save different sets of printing options so I don't have to remember, borderless or not, landscape or not, etc and keep wasting photo paper/ink/regular paper with incorrect options.
Here is another posting with similar points -> Customers are NOT getting full print functionality.  We don't care about the extra software, it is minimal.  Full functionality includes the ability to create profiles for different printing situations so that the user can easily choose that profile (and therefore all the myriad settings for that profile).  What HP has done is give us ONE profile, essentially, and every time you want to do something different, you have to change that ONE profile.  How is that helping?
As I said, if I want to switch from a normal printing job (e-mail, web page, etc.) which uses my ONE setting, and then want to print a 4x6 photo, I have to remember to change at least 6 different settings.  With the shortcut, I would select my "borderless photo" shortcut, and it would automatically switch paper trays, size, color, quality, you name it.  Now you force me to change that each and every time.
If someone can explain why this is considered full functionality I would be extremely grateful.

    Hello,
I am sorry you are having trouble with your print experience.
I am going to make some assumptions here, which could be wrong in your case, but might help others.  Since you mention printing from Windows7 and ePrint in the same thread, can I assume you are trying to print using the HP ePrint driver for windows (www.hp.com/go/eprintsoftware) ?  The ePrint driver also comes preinstalled on all HP laptops and pcs now, so maybe you made a recent pc purchase and therefore have the ePrint driver installed?
The goal of the ePrint windows driver currently has a lot less to do with providing the hundreds of print features and settings that the full featured, product specific print drivers provide.  The goal is to enable customers to be able to print to any recent or new HP printer through a number of different connection paths from a single installed print driver / print queue.  Once the ePrint driver is installed, printing with that driver will dynamically find direct network printers, cloud enabled printers, public print locations, direct wireless printers, etc., and create the correct print format depending on the print path taken.  If the printer is ePrint cloud enabled and has a good internet connection, the printer and the pc do not have to be in the same location.  For example, you can print from home to your printer at work.  You can send photos of the kids to your mom's printer in another state, etc.  The ePrint solution is also good for the traveling worker who just wants to send the occasional print job to the nearest network or wireless direct printer without having to find and install another print driver for each new printer.  One driver, one queue and you can print to any recent or new HP printer.
The ePrint driver has a few important print settings that customers may want to use (copies, duplex, grayscale, etc).  More may be added over time depending on demand.
BTW, because the ePrint driver does not have a ton of print settings to handle, the rendering of print jobs is as simple and efficient as possible and should not bog down your pc.
If you want all the bells and whistles in the print driver experience and just want to print to a single printer you can download and install the product specific print driver from hp.com
I hope that helps out a few people who may be wondering what the purpose of ePrint is!!
    Good luck.
I am an HP employee, but these are my own thoughts and suggestions

  • (261936172) Q general Where are the Web Service source files?

Q <general> Where are the source files for a Web Service created
with WebLogic Workshop stored? How do I deploy the Web Service
on a different WebLogic Server? Is there a way to bundle the
Web Service project files manually to distribute them?
Is there a way to configure the directory where Workshop stores
    the files?
ANSWER: (by Adam Fitzgerald, [email protected]) The .jws files are stored
in the project folder. This can be located on a local system, although by default
they are in c:\bea\wlserver700b\sample\workshop\applications. The Web Service
structure is understood by WLS 7.0 so by archiving the appropriate folder you
can transfer the Web Service in its entirety from one deployment to another.

  • Authoring Tool - Where are the updated MPs for the Library After Applying Update Roll Ups

    All,
Fairly recently, I took a client to SCSM 2012 R2 UR3. Today I dropped by to do some work for them on custom MPs, and when I attempted to open them with the SCSM 2012 R2 Authoring tool, I could not, because the 7.5.3079.148 MPs (UR3 version) are not in the
library. I have searched high and low to locate these MP files to drop them into the library, but I am coming up empty handed. Where are the .MP files? I am aware that we can just directly alter the referenced MP version number in the MP itself, but I want
to know where do we actually find these correctly versioned files for the authoring tool.
    Thanks,

    Hey Everyone,
I have heard back a few times from MS, but with nothing substantially helpful other than they created a bug for it. Today they called again and said this is listed with a low priority, because not enough people are complaining about it, which has a several-months
time frame for resolution. He asked me to submit Connect Feedback and get people to Upvote it and state that they can reproduce the problem. So, I went out there, found one connect request already submitted (By Thomas Bianco above) and attached to the bug,
and I Upvoted and clicked the Repros link on it. Here is the link below, so please get out there and and Upvote and click the Repros link.
