Where are the home and end buttons

so i'm new to mac and purchased a mac book pro and that's when it hit me, where are the Insert, Home, End, Page Up, Page Down keys? Where are the arrow keys. I'm not much of a track pad user and although I think it is awesome I like to keep my hands on the keyboard as much as possible.
Also, is it me or does the Delete key on a Mac move in the wrong direction (from right to left instead of left to right)?

The answer is the Fn key...
Held down in addition to the Left arrow is Home, with the Right arrow key is End, with the Up arrow key is PgUp, with the Down arrow key is PgDn, and with to the Delete key is Forward Delete.
You might find it helpful to enable the Keyboard Viewer in Hardware, Keyboard, Show Keyboard viewer in menu bar. On OS X 10.6 it displays a flag for your selected country. (Not sure about OS X Lion 10.7 though.) When enabled, click on the flag and select Show Keyboard Viewer. As you press Shift, Fn, Ctrl, Alt/Option, and Command you will see onscreen what keystrokes result, separately and in combination.

Where are the home and end keys

in iphoto to move from the top of your events to the bottom or vice versa the shortcut says to either use the" home key"or the "end key" my question is where are they?

When I have "All Events" displayed in iPhoto 9.2.1 (the latest version), neither of the preceding two suggestions takes me instantly to the beginning or the end of the displayed event grid. What does the trick for me is Fn + left arrow and Fn + right arrow. I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.8, in case that makes any difference.

I have an external apple keyboard (full style, with number pad and all) plugged into my macbook. However, the "home" and "end" buttons don't function the way I'd like (i.e. they don't go to the beginning or end of a line).
Can I ever get this to work or does it just not function with a laptop that doesn't have that function in the first place. I'd like to not have to use multiple keystrokes just to get a similar home/end result.

Not sure why you are charged for calls on this, as standard you would get free evening and weekends and there are packages for unlimited anytime.

THe home and end buttons

Just purchased a new iMac G5. For the longest time I was working on a keyboard
that had "HOME" and "END" buttons. Very useful for the timeline. Can anyone give me the answer to the keyboard shortcut for those operations on the more condensed keyboards. This answer, for some reason, has been very difficult to find in a google search.

Hi,
The home and end keys are the directional arrows on the right bottom of the keyboard and you use the function button (fn) with them. In other words fn home or fn End.

Where are the settings and import buttons

I finally got my home sharing to work. But after selecting all, there are no "settings" or "import" buttons on the bottom right of iTunes. Help!

This button does not exist on my computers either. Been looking all day. Can share music but can't transfer library ITunes you are about to lose a customer.

Hello everyone. I'm a long time Windows user who recently decided to take the plunge and purchase an iMac. I'm figuring things out but one thing that's bothering me is the Home and End buttons on the keyboard. In Windows, pressing the Home or End button takes you to the beginning or end of the line of text that you're typing but in OS X, they take you to the beginning or end of the entire text. This is fine if that's the way it works, but it seems like there's got to be a way to get to the end of a single line of text without clicking there with the mouse or pressing the right arrow key a couple dozen times.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the fast replies! I see what you mean Barney. I was trying to do it in Mail and it doesn't work that way but you're right, in Microsoft Office it does work as I expected. In Windows it's pretty universal so I thought it would be the same in OS X as well. Oh well, it's something I'll get used to I guess.

I have just realised what has caused the problem.
Yesterday I fitted an additional Homeplug with built in wireless N adapter ( I alreday have another type fitted from my main router position) The wireless system to my ipad is obviously "confused" . Having now removed the second homeplug and reset my ipad all is now ok

Here is what you should do turn the device on hold the home button and the power button until the device turn off keep holding and when the device reboots release the power button but hol the home button until it shows the iTunes logo then restore it

No offense intended, it's just that we see thousands of posts where people have different reasons for trying to use a stolen or lost device.

Morning the Home and End

OK, so all the wierless keyboard apple do are the slimline type and even the third party ones have gone this direction. There do not have numberic keypads, whitch I can live without, but they also seem to of droped the Home and End keys! What I wanted to know is who decided that we did not want Home and End keys. I am posting this here because recently I had t get a new keyboard and it does not have End or Home, whitch are both verry usefull in FCP7. What's goinbg on?

Can't believe that the phone battery is dead or that the phone is fried after only six (6) months of usage. Any suggestions (hopefully other than purchasing a new phone) is appreciated.

Try the things in this Apple article (some of the which you may have already done). If none of them work go to an Apple Store if there is one in your area. Or contact Apple via the website for support help. Leave it alone for an hour and try the reset procedure again. Make sure you're using a genuine Apple charger & cable in a known good wall outlet. You can also try another cable if necessary, and make sure the charging area is clean and free of fluff & debris.
