Where are the kindle books I downloaded from amazon?

I down loaded my kindle books to the IPad. I. Used the amazon app and had no difficulty but I can't find the books on the iPad. I know they were yesterday but I don't see them now.

Unfortunately there isn't a 'standard' user interface that every app uses, so the ways that things are done in one app won't necessarily be the same in another app - as you've found out. For the Kindle app there is this page on the Amazon site which may help http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_ipland_uread?nodeId=2 00298480&#read. But unfortunately they have the one page that covers both the iPad and iPhone/iPod Touch which (due to the difference in their screen sizes) have slightly different screen layouts, so some of the screenshots they show aren't exactly the same on the iPad - but it may be of some use (hopefully).
For other apps there is generally a 'support' page link on their description page in the store, where you may find a user's guide and/or frequently asked questions page - but, again unfortunately, not all do.
And don't worry about asking questions - it's better to ask and get an answer than to go unasked/unanswered (and other people will probably find the question/answer useful as well).

On my Mac, on the left side of the main iTunes window, the second group of playlists is marked "Store" and third on that list is one named "Purchased" and within it are all the songs I've ever downloaded from the iTunes Store on this machine over several years - many freebies along with the few that I paid for.

Where does the built-in dictionary download from for iPad?

My school has just upgraded their internet connection because we have gone to a computing school, using iPads. Some of the students can't access the dictionary, simply because it is not downloaded, but the dictionary won't download. We think it is our firewall, because it won't download/install via our internet, but it will download/install when I use the internet sharing on my phone (using my 4G network).
Our tech guy says he will need the URL for the dictionary download in order to clear any issues with the firewall.
Apps and other things download/upload and install fine, it's just the dictionary that won't do it.

Some of the iPads do not have a dictionary despite having 6.1.3. When we hit define define, it says that there is no dictionary present, we hit the download button, but it never downloads.
I'm not sure if anyone is currently having the problem right now, so I can't get you an error screenshot, but there was 2 or 3 people that had this problem that I had to download the dictionary using the 4G network sharing on my phone, because it wouldn't download using the school's network.

Where are the audio books in iTunes 11

I downloaded iTunes 11, and now everything is "new". and I don't see any audio books (in german: Hörbücher) in the sidebar - and in the settings, there is no checkbox for this genre. Who can help?

Where can the WBMP codec be downloaded from?

I need to convert jpeg and bmp images to wbmp.
But using this piece of code doesn't work.

String format = "wbmp";
RenderedOp op = JAI.create("filestore", image, destinationString, format);...
I get the following error message.
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: FileStore No ImageEncoder is available for this format or this image cannot be encoded with the given encoding parameters.

Where are the patch updates to download for Macromedia MX?

Yes, I know it's old but I bought this almost 10 years ago and never did use it much. We're talkin Flash MX (Flash Professional 6 (not CS6)), Freehand MX (Freehand 10), and Dreamweaver MX (Dreamweaver 6), and Fireworks FX.
I'll definately be using Flash FX (old set of Flash library content I bought) and possibly Freehand 10, unless Microsoft Expressions Design does a better job than Freehand 10.
Today the software is fast and I'll be using it alot more. I'd like to patch the software but otherwise it works fine.
No I don't need it to do inane flash ads hawking mortage refinancing or 'one weird trick' to go to some website so they can rip me off.

Support for those old versions was stopped long ago.
Not really sure why you want/need to patch that software tho. If the software works fine, use it and go. There is very little or no security reasons for not doing so.
You may discover more security problems by "patching" the software from some 3rd, knockoff scammer than not patching at all.

I have no DVD drive on my computer. Where are the downloads located?

I received discs for Photoshop elements & premier elements 12 with my new camera but my computer doesn't have a DVD drive. I assumed it would be no big deal to download them from the Internet...wrong. .I have serial numbers to install Photoshop but I cannot find where the downloads are located. I find plenty of "trial" downloads but I should not have to pay for a product I already have. Can anyone help me out there in cyber-land? I am okay with a computer but not a geek that is for sure!
I downloaded the assistant and nothing happened. I went to the site you so kindly suggested and started the download, and when I tried to apply it to the computer it said elements were missing. I deleted the download and then started again. Right now it is once again downloading the assistant.

What was the problem...the length of time for the download or just getting any download at all?
If necessary, I will go step by step with you through the tryout download from Adobe. But, the purchase of a USB external DVD/CD burner for your computer is a good idea and investment.
If you do the shopping for this, check out how many connections are necessary for it to the computer....none, one, or two...check out the length of the USB cable.
Please let us know how we can help. But, your mentioned place of purchase has a squad who should be able to help your with the purchase.

Thank you Curt Y. You're right. They're there. The tutorials are so smart. Don't know why they didn't download. With video tutorials "Live time" experts fumble themselves giving a perfect means for the user to absorb the "logic" of how the PhotoShop function thinks. There's no other way. Only a robot can, wants to, is motivated by boring line by line written description. I rather eat gravel than try and follow "line by line." line-by-line = ZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.
