Where are the memory slots on the HP Elitebook 8440p?

Hello, I have an HP EliteBook 8440p, with the serial number: {Personal Information Removed} and the product number: SK119UC#ABA
I have 2 memory slots. 2x2GB for a total of 4GB system memory. I found one of the memory slots right on the bottom of the laptop (it had a tiny picture of a ramstick). I would like to find the other one, but I don't know where it is, so I'm asking for help on locating it. And so, the max RAM I can achieve is 8GB and I would love to replace the current ramsticks with a 2x4GB for a total of 8GB.

I checked and it does not appear in the Applications folder.
I tried yesterday on an ethernet connection with a download speed of 2 Mbps but, unfortunately the connection died(It happened from the ISP end, which is out of my control) in between after which there was no trace of the download that happened for so long(till the internet connection death).
One more serious query which I am unable to understand. If the internet connection, dies in the midst of the download is in progress why is it so that the state does not persist and one has to restart the entire process again. Is there no solution for this?
I tried so many times and its the same case after some amount of download it vanishes. So many unsuccessful attempts. I am ****** off now. Is it not possible to see Mavericks? Why does different machines of Apple behave differently? Somewhere it goes smoothly and somewhere like my mine. Why did not Apple release a non apple store version? Is this not a bad sign of letting the users struggle when something is being offered for free?
The reason I asked as whether we can download the .app of Mavericks is that, there are so many applications that I have downloaded web and have installed. All that works fine. Can't we do the same here? You download a copy of Mavericks installer application and upload it for me in Google drive or like online storage places which can be downloaded and used by me? Help me understand.

I am unable to insert the Memory Stick into the card reader slot on my HP 7510

I have three Photosmart 7510's (C311a) and one Photosmart Premier (C310a). All of these printers have the identical Card Reader slot on the lower, left front corner. ALL four printers will not accept a standard Sony Memory Stick from my Sony digital camera. In all cases, the slot has two layers for "DUO SD MMC" chips and each will accept the "Sony Memory Stick Duo" without the silver and white MSAC-M2 Adaptor. No matter what I try, the Memory Sticks will not even start to go into the slot. I have looked into the slots with a fiber=optic flashlight attachment and there appears to be no issues -- except, possibly, the separator between the upper and lower part of the two-slot opening, is a little above center in the opening. Sitting in front of the 7510, I can look into the slot and see a white or very light gray surface that is sided to side across the opening, just inside the opening. When I get down and look into the slot at about a 'flat' angle, the white surface does appear to be just high enough that it partially obstructs the lower slot -- all the way across the slot.
I have tried four Memory Sticks and two Memory Stick Duo's, with and without adaptor. NOTE that the Memory Stick DUO, when NOT in the adaptor, will fit right into the upper part of the slot. However, with the Memory Stick Duo in its adaptor, and all the other Memory Sticks I have, none of them will start inot the upper or lower 'bay' in the slot opening.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I think I will declare this discussion closed. In an earlier post I said I would need to keep working at this problem until I seized up the right setting. Well for my 1080ii XDCAM EX 35 timeline, I have alredy tried a number of settings. The source WWV is 1280x720. The problem is stuttering video losing every other frame, audio popping or audio continuously losing a greater amount of sync. I tried APPLE TV 1280x720 in Compressonr (I'm still making more, not all have been tested.) The Apple TV h.264 works. It has to be rendered. I know some will say that's not optimal. I have put a lot of time into this with no other good results so I'm accepting this for now. I might be cooking up another right now in Compressor that will work better. Thanks to the posters.

Statik, welcome to the forum.
Here is the Motherboard Specifications page for the computer. It states that it has "1 PCI Express x16 slot Gen 2 speed". You can use a PCI Express 3.0 x16 in the Gen 2 slot. They are backward compatible.
You will have to upgrade the power supply unit (PSU), also. The current PSU is only 250W. Most newer mid-level video cards require at least 400W to operate properly. The last problem is, the newest cards (EVGA 700 series for instance) require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.

I changed the memory settings in the KT6V Bios.

I changed the memory settings in the KT6V Bios without flashing to the latest bios update. Now the system won't post and of course I learned afterwards you shouldn't mess with memory settings.
I did everything, cleared the cmos(several times with and without the battery), also tried to do the bios recovery but that didn't work. And yes I have the 4-pin plugged in, I also tested all the parts on another motherboard and they work fine with it.
So is the board fubared? I just bought it the other day, it's a long drive to take it back where I got it from so if anyone knows if there is a possible way to recover it please let me know!

No you don't.
Mac's auto-defragment by writing 2GB+ sized files and smaller to one space on the drive, so you really don't need to worry about it.
If your going to parititon your drive or need a large space of free space, then Carbon Copy Cloning the entire OS x parittion to a external drive, option booting off of it and then erasing and reverse cloning is the approved method of defragmenting and freeing up disk space, rahter than using defragmentaiton software that can cause issues and make the machine inoperatible.

If you need steps to *cough* clean your Mac of caches and whatnot less your kid/wife/mother/girlfriend/boss, see's it then the steps are as follows.
1: Clean/clear your browser caches first, delete your history etc. from within the program itself, delete any files on the machine by dragging to Trash and emtpy Trash (secure erase not needed if you follow the steps later)
2: Download CCleaner for the Mac and run that
3: Download OnyX for the Mac and run all the cleaning and maintainece, reboot at the end.
4: For scrubbing hard drives of traces (deleted files), use Apple's Disk Utility > Erase Free Space option: Zero (or 7x if you need military/foresic level type deletion, but it takes overnight to complete)
Make sure your browser plug-ins are current, Flash, Silverlight especially.

Files on an external hard drive open just like files on the internal drive - but I get the idea that you are having a problem just finding and seeing those files. Is that correct?

I tried opening it as administrator or changing the compatibility options, like running it as windows xp, and changing the resolution of the video. it can't build the window and then it crashes. on internet I found a compatibility list of the software where it says please do not use any shared memory for the graphic card. what does it mean? That could be a challenge. If I am not mistaken that camera strictly records to DVD - RW and has no digital output connectors, is that right?
My only experience with a camera like that was a bad one. I was able to get the video off the disc using a tray-loading iMac but it was painfully slow.

You might consider finding an external USB slot-loading DVD drive, but as I say my experience was painfully slow, and you might run into file format compatibility challenges.
I am sure it's possible but it won't be as easy as importing video from something like an iPad or iPhone. I still use a camcorder on occasion but it has a FireWire port. That's easy.

One usually large user of storage space is photos and videos. You could import them to a computer and then delete them from the iPad: Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac or Windows PC - Apple Support
You can also go to Settings > General > Usage and click on "Manage Storage" (in the Storage section, not the iCloud section) and that will show what is using the storage and may help you decide if you want to delete some apps or something else.

It seems the charger is a little slow and takes upto 4 hours to charge
closing all apps and leave the ipod in standby seems to off the best charging experience

In my view apple should have included a better charger for the price, the new 12w adaptor will reduce the charge time and resolve you problem, however its about $15
