Where are the "on my mac" mail folders stored, on my mac?

I can't find the folders located under the "on my mac" label in Mail.  Can anyone help?
I want to ensure I have the files stored.

Ah - I see them now and inside Finder.  They are in the V2.  My local folder structure looks like this:
Folder1
Folder2
Folder3
--SubFolder1
--SubFolder2
----SubFolder1
----SubFolder2
--SubFolder3
--SubFolder4
and even more nested than that.  In V2/Mailboxes/Mail Archive.mbox, I did see the three root folders earlier when you first posted that path.  I thought maybe Mail stopped archiving the folders and they were moved, since none of the sub folders were there.  Then I clicked Folder3 and all of the sub folders are there.  I wasn't expecting them to be nested in the file system.

  • Where are the "Organizer" files from PSE 11 stored on a mac?

I have lost all my albums from my PSE 11 (Mac, using Mountain Lion) -- the album names are there but not the files within the albums.  I tried the reconnect and the computer just went crazy.  Seeing as I did a Time Machine back up of all my files yesterday when the Albums were all present and working, I thought maybe I could just drag them over from the backup to my hard drive - however I can't find where the organizer stores these albums.  I did find a folder inside Adobe that says "organizer" and inside that there's another folder that says "11.0" but even on my oldest Time Machine back up, that folder is empty - so obviously it's not the correct one.  Anyone have suggestions where I could find the albums within Time Machine?

thanks for that info - I didn't know that about finding the library in 10.8 (obviously) -- and I was able to find the library and navigate my way to my catalog -- it looks like it's fine - in fact I was able to run the catalog manage, repair, optimize etc and it says everything is fine - however when I restart PSE and the organizer, my photos are still all missing from the albums.
too late now, but tomorrow, I'll try to see if I can find that catalog in yesterday's time machine back up -- do you know if that's possible?
I'm not really sure what happened - because when I started out today, things seemed to be working fine - it wasn't until I tried to add a new album that I discovered the issue with the missing photos.
truthfully I don't care about the albums - they would be easy to reconstruct -- but I'd like to be able to delete the names of them and start again - but I can't seem to find info on how to do that.  the book I have doesn't give that basic kind of info - more info on using the tools to be creative.
thanks so much for your help - you're very knowledgeable about PSE!!! and Mountain Lion which I've only been using for a few months.
    cheers, Lynne

  • Where are the MetaData Templates located in PS C6 on a Mac?

Where are the MetaData Templates located in PS C6 on a Mac that you can add your contact and copyright information to?
On a Windows machine they are located in Owner/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/XMP.  I have some templates that I want to copy from a Windows laptop over to a Macbook Pro.
    Thanks, Bill

I’m on Mac OS 10.6.8 and there it seems to be
    ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/XMP/Metadata Templates
I think as of OS 10.7 Macintosh hides the Library, but one can get there by alt-clicking the Go-menu and selecting it from there … or something.

  • HT2500 Where are the files of past mail kept in the Mail program.

I want to do an additional backup of my email on Mail.  Where are the files of stored past mails kept?  In the same Mail.app?
    Thanks
    Gil

    Hi Gil,
    On Mail...
First Quit Mail, then I'd backup these two Mail folders, by right clicking on them in the Finder, then choose Archive/Compress.
    Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail
    Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail Downloads
(Could be a different folder here if you chose such in Mail Prefs)
Right click on that Mail folder, choose archive, you'll get everything in the folder, and the folder itself in a file called Mail.zip, move it to a safe place, same for the Mail Downloads folder... only the plist is separate.
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist

  • Where are the Garage Band Jam Pack Files Stored?

Hi all. I am new to mac's so feel a bit lost.
I just installed the Rhythm Section Jam Pack to use with GB. They are supposed to be AIF Files (according to the box). I looked in HD>Library>Audio>Apple Loops and all I found was .caf files. I have a new white macbook with iLife 09. Are the above mentioned .caf files the ones that came with iLife 09? Are the AIFF Jam Pack files that I installed from the disk stored somewhere else?
    Many Thanks

  • Where are the rendering intent options found in LR on a Mac?

I can't find the dialog to set the rendering intent when printing from Lightroom. How do I change from Perceptual to Relative Colormetric or visa versa? (Also, how do I change the type of paper I'm using, etc.)
I'm using LR 1.3 on Mac OS X 10.5 on a MacBook Pro, printing to a Canon Pixma iP1800.

Read that link and the user generated content: http://learn.adobe.com/wiki/display/LR/Set+print+color+management+-+Learn+More
There is lots of good stuff there. In short you have two choices. You either use driver managed, in which case you set up everything as normal in the driver and you make sure you turn ON ICM in the driver. In this case, the driver controls the color management and it depends on the driver whether you get any control over rendering intent. Or you print Lightroom managed. In which case you choose the correct paper and ink density in the driver and turn OFF ICM in the driver. You then manually choose the correct icc profile for the paper/ink settings combination. The latter can be tough as the icc profiles often have very cryptic names and this is where lots of people get it wrong I think. If you let Lightroom manage color, you get the mentioned control over rendering intent and blackpoint compensation.

  • Where are the triangular arrows that open folders?

The triangular arrows next to the finder folders is gone.  How do I restore?

You must have the Arrangement set to None to have the disclosure triangles.
You can still sort by clicking on the column headers, or by holding down the Option key and selecting an option from the same menu/button.

  • Where are the  downloaded movie files for iTunes stored?

Im trying to find the files on my time machine to restore some movies I had in Itunes.  I can't download them again from itunes for some reason so I am trying to restore the files from the time machine. I need to know where on my mac the movies and tv shows I've downloaded from iTunes are stored on my computer Any help would be greatly apreciated.

They're located inside the Music:iTunes:iTunes Media folder of your home folder unless you told iTunes to look elsewhere for its library.

  • HT4007 Where are the cache files or temporary files stored?

I was rendering a slideshow of 253 pictures (approximately 4MB each) and I watched the available drive space on my MacBook Pro go from 23 GB available right down to zero.  The rendering did not finish and an error message came on the screen to let me know.  When I first clicked 'Export', I chose to save the finished slideshow to an external drive formatted for MacOS.  I also chose to save it as 1080p QuickTime .mov file.
This is my first time using Aperture and am puzzled as to why it used up that much drive space in my MacBook Pro.  I thought that it was hanging on to some unfinished render files so I quit Aperture and restarted my MacBook Pro but now I only see that I regained about 2 GB out of my original 23GB.
Is it correct for me to assume that there are cache files or temporary files still present somewhere?  If so, please tell me where so I can delete them and restore my available internal drive space on my MacBook Pro to 23 GB again.
Why did it use up so much of my internal drive space when I actually told Aperture to save the finished slideshow file to an external drive?
    Please help.  Thanks.

Aperture has two cache directories that uses regularly
    In your user library: ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Aperture/
At System Level: There are temporary file written to a hidden area, that you can open from the Terminal by referring the system varaiable $TMPDIR.
Open a Terminal window and enter the following command:
             open $TMPDIR
This will open a terminal Window showin this hidden cache. I found the partially rendered movies in a subfolder called something like "TemporaryItems"
Why did it use up so much of my internal drive space when I actually told Aperture to save the finished slideshow file to an external drive?
The final movie will be saved to the destination you named, but Aperture needs working space for partial renderings and as much RAM as it can get. The OS will swap other applications to a swapping area of the ystem drive to free RAM for Aperture.
Another problem could be that the destination drive you want to write to temporarily went offline. Then aperture will write to $TMPDIR instead. Check the permissions on your external volume and the connection. Is it a Network volume? This is risky, of you need a stable connection for a long render time. In that case connect the external volume directly.

    hello
Sorry I saw the answer to my last question which was...
"Is their other codes like alt+f for getting the files like one for tools or history like alt+g or alt+m Is their a list somewhere that teaches that. or are they accussed some other way". I see it is all up with the alt+f code
so my question should be is their anyway to keep the alt+f

  • HT1848 Where are the transferred purchases from an iDevice stored on the PC?

So I clicked 'Transfer Purchases' in iTunes (for my iPad) and the transfer has begun. However, where exactly is all this data going to get transferred? And will it include all the app data too? And can I transfer it back to my iPad in the future in case I restore the iPad? Please help!

"Transfer purchases" copies purchased media and apps that aren't already in your library, into the library. The content will go the normal locations, e.g. apps to <Media Folder>\Mobile Applications etc. App data gets included in the device backup. Other media not purchased from the iTunes store should already be in your library, if not see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

  • In Captivate 7.0.1, where are the js files for HTML5 publishing stored?

In CP6, they were located here:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 6 x64\HTML\assets\js
But in CP 7.0.1, that directory is blank.
Does anyone know, for example, how I could edit the default code that generates CPM.js ?

Thanks Jim.  I thought that might be the case. I was hoping that it might just be hidden in some directory location that I hadn't thought to look.

  • Where are the emoticons in Mac Mail?

Where are the emoticons in Mac Mail 5.2 on OS 10.7.3?

I used  colon parentheses with the smiley emoticon  which is the normal code for a smiley. It works on this forum. I used to type these in all the time on Eudora so I'm familiar with the different combinations.
I added a space after it in the system preferences/language popup and sent myself another letter with it included and it still doesn't work in Mac mail (I added a space before and after it in MacMail).  but it does work in TextEdit now.
Yes, "use symbol and text substution" is clicked.
The checkbox is ticked in the replace box; in the next box is the colon/parentheses with a space, and then the smiley in the next box.
    Thanks for trying to help.
