Where are the supposed "Geniuses" from Apple to help with this situation?

Why do the Apple "Geniuses" (and I use the term VERY loosely) never show up to help with unpopular situations?
There are a lot of people having troubles with iTunes Match and NOBODY is helping!

IOS7 mail search results appear to be random by date also where are the search parameters, from to etc..? help!

Mail search returns results by random date. Where are the mail search parameters, from,to,etc?

This is really annoying. Mail search on iOS 7 never worked, either on iPhone
4S or on iPad.
Search results are not sorted in any perceivable order. I get totally random results, with messages dating 4 years back jumping to yesterday and so on.
I have never seen Apple to respond to this issue with earnest feedback, and users are often dismissed.
I used to have to resort to my Macbook Pro to get decent results, but due to the many mail app problems on OSX, I do not rely on it anymore.
Can Apple please give feedback to this search issue on the IOS devices? It is really, REALLY crippling.

Where are the "Organizer" files from PSE 11 stored on a mac?

I have lost all my albums from my PSE 11 (Mac, using Mountain Lion) -- the album names are there but not the files within the albums. I tried the reconnect and the computer just went crazy. Seeing as I did a Time Machine back up of all my files yesterday when the Albums were all present and working, I thought maybe I could just drag them over from the backup to my hard drive - however I can't find where the organizer stores these albums. I did find a folder inside Adobe that says "organizer" and inside that there's another folder that says "11.0" but even on my oldest Time Machine back up, that folder is empty - so obviously it's not the correct one. Anyone have suggestions where I could find the albums within Time Machine?

thanks for that info - I didn't know that about finding the library in 10.8 (obviously) -- and I was able to find the library and navigate my way to my catalog -- it looks like it's fine - in fact I was able to run the catalog manage, repair, optimize etc and it says everything is fine - however when I restart PSE and the organizer, my photos are still all missing from the albums.
too late now, but tomorrow, I'll try to see if I can find that catalog in yesterday's time machine back up -- do you know if that's possible?
I'm not really sure what happened - because when I started out today, things seemed to be working fine - it wasn't until I tried to add a new album that I discovered the issue with the missing photos.
truthfully I don't care about the albums - they would be easy to reconstruct -- but I'd like to be able to delete the names of them and start again - but I can't seem to find info on how to do that. the book I have doesn't give that basic kind of info - more info on using the tools to be creative.

Are the replaced device from apple old?

I am in Hong Kong. I've replaced an iPhone 4S from apple but its serial number starts with DQG instead of the original C37. Is it an old device? It has a yellow screen and there is glue on the bottom of the device.

For a 4S, there isn't really a way to check. It may be fresh out of a factory, due to the screen problem (glue hasn't dried yet)

Where are the files migrated from my old pc?

I used Migration Assistant to transfer files from my old pc laptop to my new macair and although it said it was successful, I can't find any files...no music, no photos, no documents. Any ideas??

Ok. There are some neat aspects of the new 08, with the compact boxes and skimming...BUT...Where did the video effects go? slow/reverse,earthquake,etc...
Also, is there even a feature that has a sound timeline where in the old one we used volume levels and were able to adjust them in a graph kinda thingie in the timeline. Now I need precise volume control and can't distinguish between multiple volume/sound lines.
I appreciate apple trying to better the software--but those key things that one would use in a editing software--should be there (even if it's for non-pros) I have FCE too.

They're still in iMovie '06. If you want to use them, use iMovie '06.

The wave form, volume rubber band, and new equalizer rubber bands are in GarageBand which allows much more precise sound mixing and adjustments than in iMovie.

This version is more and attempt to advance the techneiques of import, editing by reference, and exporting than an upgrade in features. Use iMovie '06 for traditional editing and iMovie '08 to see what may be in store for you over the next decade.

regard.I'm afraid, I don't follow you very well. Anyway, if you have a db, with a running listener, you should be able to connect from any client over your local network (even through different OS). In that case, you'll need a client software (i.e. Oracle client runtime installation). Regarding the DMS, you should be able to find it onto the client after Peopletools/Peoplesoft application installation.

Where are the address stored from the Mail To field

In the Mail app you have in the To field recently used addresses. The most of these addresses are not stored in my Addressbook. Can anyone tell my where the recently used addresses are stored?

I recently had to reload one of my computers from scratch due to a dead disk. I wanted to duplicate my address and mail from one computer onto the other. I transfered the file you mentioned along with the rest of the address book files, mail files and mail cache. Interestingly, the address book files and recent recipients data ends in 2007. No address that were sent to or address that were added after 2007 [the year] appear. In fact, the file you noted says it was last opened in 12/07

So I clicked 'Transfer Purchases' in iTunes (for my iPad) and the transfer has begun. However, where exactly is all this data going to get transferred? And will it include all the app data too? And can I transfer it back to my iPad in the future in case I restore the iPad? Please help!

"Transfer purchases" copies purchased media and apps that aren't already in your library, into the library. The content will go the normal locations, e.g. apps to <Media Folder>\Mobile Applications etc. App data gets included in the device backup. Other media not purchased from the iTunes store should already be in your library, if not see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

Where are the "Clicks" coming from?

After recording a voice track file, I notice in playback that there were some occasional "clicks." They seem to occur very randomly. What might be causing this and how can I solve this problem? Thank You :-)

Without evidence, nobody can fix this. But you can help here by analysing what actually happens when a click occurs and telling us. The first thing you have to do is to establish whether it's on the recording or not. Zoom right into the click and see if you can see what it looks like. If it's caused (as a lot are) by a missing sample, then you could either have HD or data buffer problems, but if it's a continuous waveform with what looks like a pulse in it, then it will almost certainly be caused externally. If in doubt, post a screen shot of the click when you've zoomed into it. If it doesn't appear on the recording at all, then it's a fault in your playback system somewhere.

I am logged into itunes, where are the menu picks for syncing my contacts with my PC?

I read the article and found "Sync contacts with...." but don't know where to go on iTunes to do it.

Try clicking the device on the lefts side of iTunes, then clicking Info above the picture of the device in iTunes.

Why can't I interrupt the main thread from a child thread with this code?

I am trying to find an elegant way for a child thread (spawned from a main thread) to stop what its doing and tell the main thread something went wrong. I thought that if I invoke mainThread.interrupt() from the child thread by giving the child thread a reference to the main thread, that would do the trick. But it doesn't work all the time. I want to know why. Here's my code below:
The main class:

every jdk method i've used which throws InterruptedException will always throw if entered while a thread is currently interrupted. admitted, i rarely use Thread.join(), so it's possible that method could be different. however, that makes the thread interruption far less useful if it's required to hit the thread while it's already paused.

IPhoto keeps reducing photo size when I crop (from 3MB to 500KB). I want to keep the edited versions at the higher MB size! Any help with this?

I've been using iPhoto for years with good success. Recently, when I edit and crop artwork photos, it's been saving the cropped photo as a much smaller version, going from around 3MB to only 500KB or smaller. I need the cropped version to be as big as the original. Not sure why this is happening but could use some help in making it stop. Thanks!

I know that I'm cropping the physical file but in the past this wasn't an issue for the size of the cropped piece. Even if I take just a little bit away, the file size is somehow getting deeply reduced. Resolution is still fine on the screen or for a quick email, but for when I need to make a high quality giclee print for a client, the 500Kb size just won't do. I need to retain the 2Mb original quality. I'm attaching the examples here. And thanks so much for helping !
