    Hello, terrygav.
I would recommend processing a reinstall of Mavericks.

  • How to delete video files that do not work

    Hi there,
I am frustrated. I just want to delete video files from my iTunes because they will not work on my iPod...I don't care about all the technical ****, I just want to delete the files so that when I update my iPod, they are taken away.
    Thanks for your help!

Just locate the videos you want to delete in your iTunes library and delete them, simple as that.

  • Recovered video files that won't play!

I have recently used a thrid party software to recover deleted video files from an external hard drive. The recovered files will now no longer play in quicktime, any suggestions on how to fix this?

Dunno- could be that some are made with a way older version of Quicktime., might be a little corrupt.  Try doing a "Get info" on the movie in question (Command+I) and in the window that appears there, go to "open with " and choose Quicktime, then Change all. Failing that try VLC (videolanclient. org, I think) it should open pretty much everything

  • I have mpg files that won't work...any ideas?

I have MPG files from an old video camera.  I want to be able to view them on my macbook, and also make a DVD of the old movies.
When I plugged my camera into the macbook the files were MPG, and quicktime would not play.  Questions are....should I download
the quicktime MPEG-2 component for Mac OS X? ( AND OR )should I try to convert the files to a diff kind...ie...MOV or MPEG-4?
    Thanks

I have MPG files from an old video camera.  I want to be able to view them on my macbook, and also make a DVD of the old movies.
Use iMovie '08/'09 to import the MPG (MPEG-2/AC3) files to your hard drive directly from your camcorder. This should convert the MPEG-2 video to edit compatible all I-frame MPEG-2 content, as well as, convert the AC3 audio to edit compatible AIFF lineral PCM audio and place them both in an MOV file container. This combination can then be edited in iMovie, played and/or converted by most QT apps to other compression formats or imported to iDVD for reconversion for authoring back to burnable DVD content.
If you files are already on your hard drive and cannot be imported directly to iMovie from the camcorder, then you can use Handbrake to convert the files to MPEG-4 or X264/H.264 video with AAC audio for playback, editing, or authoring to DVD. Otherwise your best bet is to purchase the QT MPEG-2 Playback component ($19.99) and use the free MPEG Streamclip app to convert your MPG files to DV, AIC, Photo-JPEG, Motion-JPEG, or QT edit compatible video format and any edit compatible audio format for playback, editing, and/or authoring as a DVD,

  • From where can I download Firefox 3. Firefix 4 won't work w/my current Mac op sys version

I downloaded Firefox 4, installed, and stupidly trashed Version 3.x. Version 4 won't run on my current Mac op sys version (although the update said it would). Now I need to download Firefox 3.x in order to use it. I can't find a site that has this download available. Need help.

You can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
Mozilla are working to prevent Mac users with non-compatible systems from getting the notification about Firefox 4, and also not displaying the "Download Firefox 4" button on http://www.mozilla.com

Had this version, loved it. Mistakenly upgraded and replaced with 4, which cannot run on this architecture. Need to find earlier version again, can't locate it on your site. Please make available for us who have older macs.

Firefox 3.6.24 (Mac OS X 10.4 and later with PowerPC's) can be found here:

    Thanks for the follow up.
Missing in this equation were the version of Premiere Elements that you were using and the computer operating system on which it was running. But...
The deed is done. But.....Until now and after you went ahead and moved to version 12, we now learn what version of Premiere Elements you were using. We still do not know the computer operating system involved.
You just said Premiere Elements 10. Premiere Elements 10 is hit by a serious known display issue if the computer uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card/graphics card. In this issue, the only remedy is to roll back the driver version to about May 2013. The description of the problem and how to do the roll back are described in one of the Announcements at the top of this forum. What video card/graphics card does your computer use?
On another front, Adobe will be releasing a new version of Premiere Elements any day now. No one but Adobe knows the feature set for the new version. That type of information is announced at the moment of release of the new version.
So the remedy to the problem that you presented in this thread could have been...
    1. Rolling back the NVIDIA GeForce driver version to about May 2013 if possible (Windows 8 or 8.1 64 bit, may not be possible)
    2. Move to another version of Premiere Elements (which you did)
I offer the above for consideration so that you can review your decisions. We are pleased to learn that Premiere Elements 12/12.1 works for you.
Please do not hesitate to ask questions and ask for clarifications, but remember that the answers are in the details.
    Best wishes,

  • I have iMovie '11, and I am unable to access mpeg HD video files that I want to edit.  The files are fine (I can open and watch them using VLC), but I cannot seem to import the files into iMovie. File Import does not work.  Any suggestions??

More detail: I have a bunch of mpeg HD video files that were shot on a SONY HDR-HC3 Handycam camcorder.  I would like to edit these into a single video production.  I can access and view the mpeg files using VLC (Quicktime does not work with them).  However, I seem to be unable to get the mpeg files to interface with iMovie '11 -- I cannot use the File --> Import command, nor can I drag-and-drop them into iMovie.
Is there something anyone might suggest to get this to work?  Or are these files incompatible with iMovie?  If so, I assume I must purchase a different video editing software program (e.g. Adobe Premeir Pro).  Suggestions???
Many thanks in advance for your time and consideration

Yes, I tried that.   The files were ordered by their original numbers as imported from the camera, but I batched them through Phocoshop to downsize all of them into a more manageable file size.   I opened that destination folder from quick time  from where it said select image sequence.   I clicked on the first one and opened it.   The result was a large image with an arrow indicating a movie was ready to go.   When I pressed the arrow, though, I realized it had only imported that one frame so there was no movie.   The files are Jpgs and are about 450 KB each.
To your knowledge are there any links to iMovie tutorials or quick time tutorials that may address this situation?  Maybe there will be one I haven't looked at yet.
        Thanks

  • Where can I find the Brushes (abr) file format?

I've found the Photoshop File Format Specs at: http://www.adobe.com/devnet-apps/photoshop/fileformatashtml
But unfortunately they don't include the Brushes (abr) file format.
Also, the SDK FAQ references a form you are supposed to fill to ask for this, but there's no such a form anymore.
Where can I find information about this?
    Thanks in advance

Where can I find the a downloaded file by Software update?
    In ~/Downloads
For example is there any way to find a package which is downloaded but is not installed(because the installation failed) (in this case 10.5.5)
Failed installs usually remove the package, just as a proper install removes the package
All that remains for a proper installation is a Receipt in on of the following directories:
    ~/Library/Receipts (for user-specific installs)
    Macintosh HD/Library/Receipts
for system-wide installations, including OS-X updates.
and I don't want to download it once again neither manually nor with software update.
If it did not install, there is no Receipt and the downloaded file is not on your system
If you don't want to see it again in automatic updates, put it on ignore.

  • Why can't I delete this video file from my trash can?

I have a video file that I will not disappear from my trash can when I click the "empty track" button. I managed to move the folder containing the video file from documents to the trash after a lot of effort, but it kept telling me that I didn't have the privileges necessary to delete the video permanently. Now the video file is sitting inside a folder inside the trash can where I can't move anywhere else. If I try to move it anywhere else, it simply copys to that folder but stays inside the original stays in the trash can as well, but I can still delete the copy and the original stays sitting in the trash can. Can anyone help me so I can get rid of this file once and for all.

ho yeah .. i know that, but i tried even in a low quality and it's not worked.
Maybe it's related to the TimeQuick?

  • Where can I get codec for ISO files?

Where can I get codec for ISO files?Premiere Elements

An ISO is actually not a video file, it is a container... somewhat like a ZIP file that contains other files
I do not know if it will PLAY what is inside an ISO, but I use Imgburn to write an ISO to DVD
Read http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1322583 for notes on installing Imgburn WITHOUT any toolbar add-ons... Set Imgburn to use the slowest burn speed your drive and media will use... I set my burn speed to 1x and let Imgburn adjust to the actual minimum
