Where can i buy a iPod touch 5 in America?

Everybody on Youtube has purchased an iPod touch 5th generation and has done a review on them. When will America or stores like Wlamart, Target, and Best Buy have their shot at getting iPod touch(s) in reatil for consumers like yours truly? I really want one and have saved up money for the past two checks to purchase it....please help to tell where and when i can get one.

Where can I send a ipod touch, for it to get fixed? Anywhere besides apple store that I could absolutely trust. I don't want to send it in the mail either, because I don't want to get scammed. I guess I can go to an Apple store if I had to. But, my warrenty is up. Could they fix it, but would I have to pay more.
Problem(s):
- screen is cracked at bottom right corner going 1/4 of way up.
- Music won't play out of headphones. I tried cleaning it and wiggling it, but nothing. It plays, but it only has either the words of the song, or the music of the song. (NOT the words) I could press down in front of it for a while to make it work, but it doesn't work that way anymore. (Thats how the screen cracked I think.)
So can any of you look it up, and find what price I'd be looking at without buying another ipod touch. If, it's to much I might as well buy another ipod, NOt a touch, and only have it for music.

Ummmm, yeah I don't want to send it anywhere, I want to be able to give it to somebody. And I do not want to drive a long way away just to do this either. I might end up just getting a new ipod, but not a touch. Because those suck with the headphone jack! Thanks for replying though.
I also cracked my screen even more, only a little bit though. :/ I am going to leave it at my house for a while, because I don't want to crack it anymore.

I literally just got off the phone with my local Best Buy and according to them Apple is hording the Ipod Touches to themselves and only selling them at their stores and on their online store until the end of the month. But I don't know if this is true because I'm pretty sure I have read posts by ppl who claim they got their touches at a store other than the apple store. so if you got your touch somewhere else other than at the online apple store or at your Apple store then please let us know.

Venom, I use a Griffin Survivor it's a full case, Note; it is waterproof not watertight-- drop it in the pond and your iPod will get wet. Overall works very well, have knocked the "stuffing" out of it, so far it has protected my iPod 5 from falls, drops (that should have broken the screen more than one time), a 6 year old, rain and snow. Also does a great job of keeping dust, dirt, sweat off the iPod. The belt clip locks shut, or can be opened to clip onto waist band or pocket opening. Fairly heavy spring keeps it in place. An added function the clip can be locked full open and it acts as a stand like a picture frame or you can remove it altogether. If you do decide to get one, get disposable screen protectors, cut then to fit the window of the survivor. the window is plastic and scratches easy. The protector does not interfere with function, when it gets scratched up peel it off and replace with a fresh one. They come in many colors, mine is black and day glow yellow, makes it easy to find! Found mine at Walmart, the're easy to find. Good luck, Cheers.

You can shop around on places like eBay for a used unit, but that or purchasing a refurbished unit from Apple, when they have them available, will be the only way you're going to get one for less than the normal price of a new unit. No iPod touch that is in working order is going to be "cheap", though.

Where can I buy a Zen Touch

Hi.
I have been looking at the Zen touch for a wile now and am thinking of buying the 40GB model when it comes out.
Today I went to Best Buy and Circuit City to look and test it out, but was disappointed to see that they don?t carry it yet? can anyone else think of somewhere to buy one that will have it out on the self with music loaded on it so I can test it's?

GunsNRoses, I have looked at the I-ri'ver H340 and its VARRY nice. I would go for it right away.
But the thing that bugs me is they took out most of the functions from the American version (some of the missing functions are: USB host to take pictures from digital cameras, UMM, there?s more but I cant think :P ) also they take most of the accessories out. They did this to make the player cost less and to be a better competitor with the I-pod.
On the other hand (for a bit more $$$) they do have an international version (AKA World version) that has all the functions and just about all the accessories. So if I get one I will get the international one.
But today I emailed their tech support to see what would happen if I sent the international one into the American repair center. They replied that if I sent the international one and it needed to be replaced they would only be able to replace it with an American one. So I am looking into being able to get the warrantee out of US.
The H340 is a .8? hard dri've so its a bit more shock proof which is nice.
The sound quality is vary good but I did not get to compare it to the touch.
They did not have any pictures loaded on it so I did not get to see that side of the player.
I also like that I-ri'ver based the hard dri've format on the FAT format, making the hard dri've plug and play compatible, although this makes the player have a bit longer start up time (the longest time I have head is 40 seconds.)
The interface is a bit hard to use if you don?t know how to, but once you get used to it it'ss EZ.
To be able to record from anything is vary nice.
Having the color screen is cool to.
I have heard rumors about the player having the ability to save song lyrics and allow the user to access them when listening to music, I would find this really good, I don?t know if it will do this.
I have spent a little time on the I-ri'ver forms to see what people say about it. From what I have seen on the I-ri'ver forms most of what people that have a H340 are asking for new firmware and not so much talking about hardware problems.
The I ri'ver is more expensi've than the touch but it has more functions and comes with more accessories.

Another thing about the international player is that it comes with a different wall outlet cable than we use in the US. But I do believe that the USB cradle charges the battery. And you can always go get a power adapter.
On the Zen touch.
I do like the other Zen models and a touch pad sounds nice. But I need to see it.
I do not like that creative removed EAX from the player?s firmware and hope that creative will add that back with an update.
It is nice to see that creative brought back the LCD wired remote with FM receiver.
From the looks of the case creative supplies with the touch it looks good. Although others have said that its design faulty I think it will work fine.
The touch is not plug and play, which can be annoying but it makes the player start up faster.
The touch is also a .8? hard dri've, which is a bit more shock resistant than the 2,5?(other Zen models.)
I don?t know much more on the touch, but I hope I do soon.
I am still at a loss as which player I will buy, they both look so good. I hope when I can finally see them next to each other and test them I will know.

Where can I buy an iPod Nano 6th generation?

I saw that today the new lineup of iPod Nanos is out, but I really would like to buy the 6th generation (the square one) because of it's clip-on ability. I don't see any available in the Apple Store (online) anymore, and Target doesn't seem to carry them anymore, either, at least not online.
Any idea of retailers that are still carrying them? Historically are they discounted after a new model comes out, too?
