Where can I buy an A1290 adapter for my 2007 MacBook Pro?
HELP!
My old computer's adapter has died but I still use this computer as a backup.. the only places I seem to be able to purchase a replacement adapter are Amazon / ebay and the sellers sound dodgy (fake adpater, breaks after a month etc).
Can I not buy one of these direct from Apple???????????

according to this Apple page, your 2007 MacBook Pro originally came with a 85 W adapter with a “T”-head. Apple no longer manufactures these; they’ve been replaced by “L”-head adapters, since they are supposed to withstand stress at the head better than the “T”-headed ones do. Since that page states that the “L”-head adapters can be used on models that originally came with the “T-head” adapters, you can buy the “L”-head analogue for your “T”-head adapter directly from Apple here.

Have you updated the firmware at all on the drive? Or ensured that the drive has the latest firmware on it?

All drivers and firmwares are last versions. I've tried everything i found on google, at the beginning i had almost SATA 3 speeds (400~500 MB/s) but very unstable, then i updated some intel drivers and it get a bit more stable but with SATA 2 speeds. I really don't know what else to do. -

My 2009, 13" MacBook Pro screen needs to be replaced. It fades to white minutes after I boot up. Apple charges over $400 to replace a screen. Or they will outsource the replacement for $250. I have been repairing all my computers for years. I don't want to pay out a bunch of money for something I can do myself. I can't seem to find a reputable dealer who sells the correct LED replacement screens for my Laptop. Will somebody here give me the names of places where I can buy a screen? Hi all,
I have just ordered a new iPhone 5 from the apple website and it comes as an unlocked phone. Therefore I need to buy a new 'nano sim' to fit the new phone.
Does anyone know where and how I go about doing this?
I've seen that vodaphone have apparently got 500,000 of these new Nano sims in stock, but are they only for people who have bought the phone through them?
Do you know any other networks or providers that are selling the nano sim, even if you haven't purchased the phone from them?
Any advice or tips would be much appreiciated.

Which is why in the UK it is not really worth purchasing an iPhone directly from Apple - it's a no brainer. You should always purchase through the phone companies themselves and you'll get a much better deal always.
I have been with 02 on a contract since I had my first iPhone and have always upgraded for less than half the cost of the iPhone directly from Apple.
I really don't understand why someone would want to spend at least £525 to £600 on a phone from Apple when you could get it for less than half the cost with the UK phone companies, unless of course money is no object!

have a MacBook w/ built-in battery, or maybe not.
If yours does not have a user-accessible battery
you may want to look into iFixit.com guides to see
what they suggest for your specific MacBook.
And then consider if you are up to the DIY steps
with ability to do the complete service yourself,
or if not, then contact a qualified certified service
center to inquire their estimate for part + labor.
However if your computer does have an easily
replaced battery with external access where
you are essentially looking at the battery, that
is just a matter of identifying the correct Mac
to get a matching part from reputable reseller.
You could probably get a replacement battery
from Apple, if the computer isn't really old...
Or you could look online at places such as
OWC where they offer a few batteries. Just
be sure to avoid the low-end no-name clones
from auction sites or cheap copy imports.

I cannot afford an iMac, can anyone recommend a widescreen Monitor for my 15" MacBook Pro. It will be used mainly for iPhoto and Aperture. TF
Pair a wireless KB with the laptop and all should be well when you attach the laptop to the iMac and invoke TDM. But as Denny mentions, it does seem like the waste of a good iMac to use it in just this configuration. Why is the laptop primary?
