Where can I buy Dreamweaver 8?

I am a student living outside USA, so Dreamweaver CS4 is too expensive for me.
Please suggest me where I can get Dreamweaver 8 or Dreamweaver CS old version which is cheaper.
Thank you,
- Syeef

David's advice is very good. And I would offer an addendum.
Right around the time that Adobe launched CS4, I was looking to upgrade -- to CS3!
I had an Apple G4 computer that was not rated to run Adobe's CS4 applications, so I started looking for CS3 with the knowledge that there were very reputable dealers out there with CS3 still in their delivery channels. I chose a reputable firm, received assurances that the software was unused, shrinkwrapped and carried an Adobe license, and I placed my order. I received a pretty good discount for the software that I could run.
So, in your case you have two options: Wait until you can afford Dreamweaver CS4, which means not spending your money until you have enough for the purchase. Or wait until just as Adobe launches CS5 and place no order for CS4 applications after three months beyond the launch.
I don't know for certain, but I believe that Adobe does offer licensed resellers a deal to ship back all old product, because old Adobe applications appear to clear the channel within three months (this is a variable, as I am certain that in Eastern Europe, South Asia, South America and Africa, resellers retain more stock for longer than do the American and Western European resellers). Some resellers take advantage of these deals, others don't.
My discounts for the CS3 product were not heavy.
Resellers were taking just about a quarter to a third off Adobe's asking price. So you're not going to get "The Student Discount."
If you are just looking to edit websites and Dreamweaver is out of your budget and shall always remain so, I would look into a freeware editor, like Nvu or Kompozer. Both are "WYSIWYG" HTML editors that are open source and available for a donation or (if you are really pressed) for free. Both also have a following of individuals, like David, who are very knowledgeable and will help you with what you are trying to do. Nvu is further along than Kompozer, which is a better Mac-centric application than is Nvu (which runs on just about everything).
Also, if you are on a Mac, there is Freeway and Freeway Express, which are a lot less money than Dreamweaver CS4.

Where can I buy a larger hard drive for my late 2008, 15" macbook pro?  From reviewing questions and answers on the support community it would appear that having Apple remove the old and install the new hard drive is recommended.  But how/where?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
You can install the new hard disk yourself if you want to. You just need a 2'5" SATA II hard drive, which is compatible with your MacBook Pro. You can buy one at OWC > http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/hard-drives/2.5-Notebook/ You can filter hard drives by computer, so press a "Click to view all...", choose your computer in the sidebar and it will give you the compatible hard drives.
There are different brands for the MacBook Pro. The most recommended are HGST and Seagate, which have good reputation. A 7200 rpm hard drive will give you extra performance

  • Where can I buy a genuine apple replacement battery (A1309) for my Mid 2010 17" Macbook Pro?

Where can I buy a genuine apple replacement battery (A1309) for my Mid 2010 17" Macbook Pro? There are used batteries on ebay that don't appear genuine. There are some third-party knock offs. The apple store seems to believe they can replace it, but I have to make a reservation at the silly Genius Bar just to have them tell me how much it's gonna cost, not to mention then likely wait for them to order the battery and install it. I'm perfectly capable of installing it myself. I just need to know where I can order it?
    Thanks,
    Andrew

Yeah, that's what I've finally decided. I was kidna super frustrated because the first apple store I called wouldn't even tell me a price or tell me if they could replace the battery without a Genius Bar appointment, and as I would have to take off work and drive acros town--and I don't have a car so I'd have to borrow one--that was pretty annoying. That call left me pricing linux laptops. I called another store to see if I'd have better luck, and the initial answer was the same, but the girl relented under some trying-to-be-nice-but-clearly-annoyed pressure, and she gave me the answers I needed: yes, they should have the battery in stock and it should be a same-day replacement that should cost $179.
It just *****, really, because there's so much about Apple that I used to love, and I'm watching it kinda melt away under their success in the mobile market. As a professional user, there's less and less reason to stick with them. Instead of being the best they can be, I feel like they're just trying to be flashier and just a little better than the other mediocre computer companies. Ugh. Anyway, now I'm ranting.

  • Where can I buy a nano sim for the new iPhone 5

    Hi all,
I have just ordered a new iPhone 5 from the apple website and it comes as an unlocked phone. Therefore I need to buy a new 'nano sim' to fit the new phone.
Does anyone know where and how I go about doing this?
I've seen that vodaphone have apparently got 500,000 of these new Nano sims in stock, but are they only for people who have bought the phone through them?
Do you know any other networks or providers that are selling the nano sim, even if you haven't purchased the phone from them?
Any advice or tips would be much appreiciated.
    Many thanks
    Chris

Which is why in the UK it is not really worth purchasing an iPhone directly from Apple - it's a no brainer.  You should always purchase through the phone companies themselves and you'll get a much better deal always.
I have been with 02 on a contract since I had my first iPhone and have always upgraded for less than half the cost of the iPhone directly from Apple.
I really don't understand why someone would want to spend at least £525 to £600 on a phone from Apple when you could get it for less than half the cost with the UK phone companies, unless of course money is no object!
Where do you get your information from?

Does anybody knows where can i buy a replacement AC power cable for my cinema display 27"?

It may not be the same molded plug but I would think any normal 3-prong computer power cable should work.

I've always had the theory that if you put two computer power cords in a drawer they will breed and you'll end up with a lot more!   My parts drawer is always full of them.  They like to knot up by themselves as well!  Maybe that's how they breed.

    Thx for the support!
    Bye,

You dont have to do anything. I gave you a potential suggestion to one solution.
Contact MSI technical and ask them. If the card is under guarantee, they may ask you to send it in and you will probably get a refurbished card.
Your choice to weigh up the costs of sending the card in for repair, buying a new card or considering an aftermarket cooler.

    Hi,
The right part number for the hard drive kit is 681976-001. The support website for the laptop is on HP Sweden so run the part number on google.co.uk (or your Swedish). I have found the cheapest on us amazon for $38 or £42.

VGA is an analog signal HDMI is digital. A simple cable would not work you would need something that converts the analog signal to digital.
A search of VGA to HDMI turned up a few possibilities but nothing specific. In any case the picture on the TV will not be very good given the source.
You should check to see if the TV has a VGA input. Some TV's have a computer connection port and this is usually VGA.

Where can I buy an airPort extreme caed for my powerbook? are they even available, if not how can I go wireless ?

eBay is a good source, though as ever, buy wisely and make sure you get the right card for your specific model.
Alternatively there are wireless cards available that go in the card slot. Again eBay is full of them but be sure they're OSX compatible -  its a good idea to put this phrase in your search terms.
I can vouch that this one works as I'm using it now:
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SAGEM-PCMCIA-AIRPORT-54MBPS-WIRELESS-WIFI-CARD-MAC-OS-X-/4 00124141388?pt=UK_Computing_Apple_Mac_Accessories&hash=item5d2941df4c#ht_3229wt_ 886
It just plugged straight in and was recognised as an Airport Card. This is from the UK site but I'm sure you can find the same thing wherever you live, or at that price just have it shipped.
