Where can i buy macbook pro with increased storage

Question

I want to purchase a new Macbook with Retina display, but with increased memory and storage options over the standard model.
Do Apple shops hold stock with larger memory options, or do you have to order them direct as a special build?  Surely most people would find 256GB of storage limiting?

Just use the online store, but before you finally checkout, check availability.  If it is available at a store near you, you can then just either cancel and go get it, or checkout to hold it for you and go get it.  Otherwise, you can have it delivered to a store for pickup, or directly to you.
There are two Apple stores near where I live, but they never seem to actually have anything but the base stock models available in the store as normal stock.  But ordering online is easy, and I've bought numerous upgraded machines that way and never had a problem.
