Where can I download a 64-bit version of the Firefox 4 software?

I downloaded Firefox 4 setup by using the Firefox 3.6.x Update feature and saved it as a file. I was not offered any choice as to whether to install a 64-bit or a 32-bit executable. It also did not tell me whether the program that would be installed is 64-bit or 32-bit.
When I run the downloaded file, I select the custom configuration of the cook-book vanilla installation routine.
The default installation location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Firefox -- which is the Windows 7 directory for 32-bit executables.
So, it would appear that Firefox 4 is 32-bit software, at least the one that I downloaded. I cannot find a download location on the Mozilla.com web site which is identifed as for getting 64-bit software instead of 32-bit.
From which web site and page (URL please!) can I download a 64-bit version of Firefox 4?

There is no public release of Firefox 64 bit for Windows yet - only for Mac and Linux. I believe the trial versions haven't been stable.
I don't think we are missing much at this stage.

Where can i download official 64 bit version even if it is beta etc
    I am using win 8.1 64 bit
and i can say that every application i develop as 64 bit on c# works better on this os
so i want to try out 64 bit firefox as well

The earliest Mozilla will have a Win64 version of Firefox is Firefox 37.0 in first phase. https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/win64
You can technically build Win64 Firefox now or use the so call third-party builds but that does not mean they are stable though it may seem like it.

  • Where can I find Vista 64-Bit drivers for the Satellite A100-049?

I currently run Vista Home Premium SP1 32-Bit and do so because there appears to only be 32-Bit drivers on Tosiba's website:

Where can I find Vista 64-Bit drivers for the Toshiba Satellite A100-049?
    Thanks

    Thanks for the reply.
That's rubbish. Vista 64-bit runs fine with 2Gb and my laptop supports up to 4Gb.
We'll never move on to 64-Bit if companies don't provide drivers.
I'll look at those sites. I've had trouble installing nVidia drivers from nVidia website.
I have to use the one provided by Toshiba.
Hopefully I won't find this when trying 64-Bit. My plan is to go 64-Bit with Windows 7 so no rush just yet.
As I understand it Vista drivers will work with Windows 7.
Thankfully when I reinstalled Vista 32-Bit not long ago using an OEM from Technet I only need 2-3 drivers from Toshiba website, most of it they give to download you don't need at all.
    Thanks again.
p.s - They do offer 64-Bit drivers for my network card though.

  • Where can I download iTunes 10.1 version from

iTunes10.5 can not be upgraded and installed in my computer (Lenovo X200 with Window XP systenm). After tried many times, every time is failure the install. So I un-install the original verion and install 10.5 version, it still fail. Now I want to install the original version (I remeber the version is 10.1), but I can not find the version from Apple website. So can you help to tell me where can I download the iTunes 10.1 from Apple website. Many thanks!

    Hi varjack,
Thank you for your suggestion. For a number of reasons I choose not to upgrade to iTunes 6.3. As this G4 is running slow (it's over eleven years old) I have made a decision to avoid any software upgrades on my 'legacy' applications. Not only will any new software strain the resources of the G4, but I do not think it a good idea to put a lot of features into my machine that it is not capable of utilizing. The iPod touch (I have been prompted by iTunes) will communicate with my G4 if I have iTunes 10.1. That is the solution I continue to seek.
As far as the iTunes Store goes, I do not use it. One reason is that my iPod touch cannot run many of the new Apps (I'm also unable to find legacy Apps, though I haven't tried lately) and I'm not going to run out and buy a new device from Apple so I can. I just don't care enough.
    Thanks

  • Where can I download Beta2 and subsequent versions?

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp is the page for the Beta1 download. Where can I download Beta2 ? It was mentioned in former posts.

Beta 1 is "build 1.5.0-beta-b32c" and is the latest public release.
If you check the bug database you'll see that all builds from b33 have been labelled 'beta2'.

Make sure you have cookies enabled and clear your cache.  If it continues to fail try using a different browser.
Here is an alternate download...  You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

  • Is there a 64-bit version of the Firefox 4 release candidate?

I've been using the 64-bit nightly builds and wanted to switch over to the RC that was just released, however, I was only able to download the 32-bit version of the browser. Is there a location where I can download the 64-bit version?

Mozilla isn't going to be releasing a 64-bit version of Firefox 4.0 for Windows. The 64-bit nightly versions of Minefield will have to be used until Mozilla releases it in a future version.

  • Where can I download a 64 bit frefox 7 us version for windows 7

Everytime I download firefox 7 for windows it
appears to be a 32 bit version.
I am using 64 bit Windows 7 and downloading
    with Internet Explorer

On Linux 64 bit Firefox is available for quite some time.
As a Linux user I assumed Windows also had a 64 bit version
and was surprised I could not download one.
However in the meantime I have found the nightly Mozilla
    builds where firefox-10.0a1.en-US.win64-x86-64 is available.
    Thanks for your reply.

  • Where can I find stable 64 bit versions of Firefox to download?

The only link I could find for 64 bit was nightly but I don't want that. There is no 64 bit installer on the official page, no 64 bit under betas, and the FTP doesn't even contain any under firefox/releases. Do they even exist or are they only for future releases?
PS - I don't really know where to ask this since there isn't a proper category that I could find for website questions.

The 32-bit builds will work and are actually faster compared to same 64-bit build currently.
The 64-bit Nightly on Windows are are mainly for to test for breakage as it is possible to break the 32-bit win builds without breaking 64-bit win and same goes other way. In the early days long before Firefox 4.0 it was just Linux that got 64-bit builds and they were mainly for breakage.
The 64-bit win builds are still Tier 2 builds which mean if something breaks or a server for it goes down, it does not have the priority to get working right away like the regular Firefox builds which are Tier 1. https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Supported_build_configurations
It looks like the earliest release to have 64-bit on Windows will be Firefox 12.

    Perf numbers look good.

This was a big part in the steps to have 64-bit builds on Windows.

  • Where can I download an older firware version for my DR8-A2

I would like to know to know where can I find and download the 140D version of the DR8-A2 firmware, because since I updated to 150D and 160D version it stoped burning DVD-R at 8x, it only burns at 4x or 2x.
Can I flash it back to the 140D version.
    Please Help me!

I think you'll have to mail MSI tech support for them to send it to you, since there's no where in the site you can find an old firmware for that drive.

  • Firefox 4 is unquestionably disfunctional; where can I download a functional older version?

Your version 4 is extremely lagging on my XPS laptop. The laptop has 2 gig of ram and a duel core.
Firefox 4 has crashed and seized up my computer more often and worse than any browser I have ever used--I can officially state the I loath Firefox 4. Utter disappointment!
Where can I find a download for the previous version? How can I safely revert back to the previous version?
I have not recorded the crash ID's, but have repeatedly submitted report with no feedback forthcoming.
Thank-you. I look forward to being able to use my computer effectively again soon.

i am sad that the only response you have had is one that does nothing to help you with what you asked for.
    you asked a simple question.
can nobody give you an answer ?
the question for those that can not understand what was needed was where can they find a link to download something previous to firefox 4.
they did NOT ask anything about hardware acceleration or ANYTHING else.
