online. ODBC (not java) requires drivers which are OS specific. So it doesn't matter if you have the JDBC driver if you can't find the ODBC driver for the database that you want.

Drivers are not part of java. They are separate products.
I suspect that, for example, if you want to connect to Oracle and you get the type 4 drivers from Oracle that they will work just fine on that OS.
You might find that for the database that you are using that there is no driver (explicitly) for that OS though.

If you are using iTunes on a computer to sync to the iPhone, any tracks in an acceptable format will do. If you mean directly to the iPhone, you can't. it would need to come from the iTunes store exclusively. As for finding free music in general, try a Google search.

I'm a lousy guesser so if you give more information on what year/model MPro and what MacOS version your running it'd sure help? Two different OS's two different ways to install.
If your running 10.7( Lion) then Apple no longer supports XP OR Vista and no longer makes Boot Camp drivers for them.

I can't argue that Apple wants to get out from under Java and has publically stated that for several years now. I need Java Runtime Environment for it, but cannot find it anywhere on the Internet. Where can I find Java Runtime Environment that actually works on Apple Mac OS 10.6.8?

Run the installer.
Then you can drag the various versions of Java into whatever order you prefer, or uncheck any you don't want used at all.
As for your JRE question above, the last Apple Java update disables Java Applets and Webstart Applications by default to prevent the Flashback exploit from working. There should be a checkbox to enable that in the Java Preferences application. It's under the general tab in 10.7, but I haven't used 10.6 in so long I don't remember if it should be there or somewhere else. It doesn't seem to be there in your screenshot...
Of course, I'm assuming the "things you could do before" involved Java applets on the internet. I don't recommend re-enabling this functionality, by the way. However, it is your risk and your choice.
Java application bundles and anything run from an IDE or the command line should still sork as expected.

It is possible to make a collage manually - why not try yourself.
Click File >> Open and select your photos
That will add them to the project bin
Then select File >> New >> Blank File
Select background color White (or whatever you prefer) and add your width and height for your final image (set resolution 72 for web usage or 240 to 300 for printing) then click OK
In the pallet bin click your first photo and drag it up into the main window on top of your new background.
Click on the move tool and click in the center of the photo and drag to arrange it where you want on the background - you can hold down the shift key to maintain original proportions whilst dragging the corner handles of the bounding box to get the size you want.
Do the same with the second photo (drag it up into the main window) and use the move tool to position it.
Finally Click Layer >>Flatten image and save as jpeg. (Save as PSD if you want to preserve the layers for editing again)
N.B. as you add images they get dropped in the center. So you need to use the move tool to drag them apart. Click in the middle of one and move it around, and then the others until you get them positioned as you want.
When you click again with the move tool a bounding box appears around the image and you can drag out the corner handles to re-size your photos. Hold down the shift key when dragging the corner handle and that will maintain the proportions of the original.
Finally click Layer >>Flatten Image and save your collage - you may then want to use the crop tool to cut away any surplus white canvas, and then re-save as a jpeg.
Otherwise google for scrapbooking sites to find templates.
