Where can i download mac os x lion?
I now have 10.6.8 and I can't seem to download/buy Mac OS X Lion anywhere on the Internet. Can somebody please set me in the right direction?
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
First, see if your Mac is compatible with Lion > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4949 If it's compatible, call Apple to purchase Lion > http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
If your Mac is compatible with Mountain Lion, I recommend you to upgrade to Mountain Lion instead of Lion. See > http://www.apple.com/osx

Where can i download mac os 10.6.7 update
Download page here http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1363 does not work.
You cannot download any version of Snow Leopard itself. In your case you can only update to 10.6.8 using Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.
To go past Snow Leopard to Lion or Mavericks:
Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mavericks, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion at the Online Apple Store. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax. It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
Lion System Requirements
1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
or Xeon processor
2. 2GB of memory
3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
4. 7GB of available space
5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
Upgrading to Mavericks
You can upgrade to Mavericks from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mavericks can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for FREE.
Upgrading to Mavericks
To upgrade to Mavericks you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Download Mavericks from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mavericks is free. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mavericks- System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mavericks
1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 7,1 or later
2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 5,1 or later
3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 2,1 or later
5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
7. Xserve (Early 2009) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.

Where can I download MAC PS5?
I had PS5 installed on my old Mac Notebook. I have lost the CDs. I saved the serial number when I installed it. I now have a new laptop and I need to install PS5 on it. Any help, would be great.
Thanks!Do you mean Photoshop version 5 (1998) or Photoshop CS5 (2010)?
If you mean CS5 then you can download a trial from
http://prodesigntools.com/all-adobe-cs5-direct-download-links.html
Ensure that you follow the Very Important Instructions on that page first otherwise the links will not work.
When you launch the trial, enter your serial number to convert it to a fully licensed version. -
Can I download Mac OS X Lion again, so that I can install it on my other Mac?
I have already paid for Lion when I installed it on my lap top. Do I need to pay for it again to install it on my primary computer?
No, just log on to the app store and download it again.

HT4069 How ore where can I download this version?
How ore where can I download Mac OS X v10.6.0 for my Macbook?
There are no Apple-sanctioned general-access downloads available for OS X 10.6.
That version was licensed sold via what were variously known as retail OS X installation disks; via the purchase of a DVD disk.
If your hardware supports it, 10.7 is available via download from the Mac App Store, and via a USB key disk that's available. -

Where can I download Lion v10.7?

Expanding on this, you get an e-mail containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac Apple Store to download Lion. Do save a copy of that installer because the, IMO, poorly designed app deletes itself as part of its installation process, necessitating wasting resources DLing it again if you need to reinstall or restore the OS. -
After installed win7 on my mac pro(mid 2012/mountain lion), I can not connect internet and where can i find drivers in mountain lion system.
I donot think I have a install disk when I bought my mac, there is only a disc partition for recovery system.Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
You have to install Boot Camp drivers. On Mountain Lion, you have to download them.
First, press X key while your Mac is starting to start into OS X. Then, open Boot Camp Assistant and select the option to download the drivers. You will have to burn them into a DVD or USB drive, so after downloading them, restart and install them into Windows -
Is MAC OS X v10.6.8 same as MAC OS X Snow Leopard. Since i want to download MAC OS X LION can it be downloaded on my mac which has MAC OS X v10.6.8 ??
Yes, assuming you can run Lion, & can deal with no more Save or Save As... functions...
Lion/101.7 System requirements
• x86-64 processor (Macs with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Intel Core i3, Intel Core i5, Intel Core i7, or Xeon processor.)
• At least 2GB of memory, (I say 4GB)
• Latest version of Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.8), with the Mac App Store installed
• At least 4GB of disk space for downloading, (I say 40GB at least)
Like Snow Leopard, Lion does not support PowerPC-based Macs (e.g., Power Macs, PowerBooks, iBooks, iMacs (G3-G5), eMacs).
Lion also does not support 32-bit Intel Core Duo or Core Solo based Macs. Rosetta is no longer available in Lion, which means Lion no longer supports PowerPC applications.
