I purchased Photoshop CS5 in 2011 for my Macbook. I recently purchased a Macbook Air without a cd/dvd drive, so I cannot install the photoshop CS5 software. In searching the Adobe product download page, I cannot find the CS5 download file. Please help.

I agree that I should not have had to go to an unofficial download site. I'm well aware of the risks of using such sites. But I searched the Mozilla and Firefox sites repeatedly for several days seeking different version nos of Firefox (including 8.0) and my searches have returned no matches. If Mozilla allowed this url to be found, it would make things much easier.
I understand the concerns about security vulnerabilities but a version of Firefox that hangs (permanently) as soon as it opens is of no use and does not allow us to search for solutions. In this case, the only option is to downgrade and use that older version to get online and then search for possible solutions to the upgrade problems. It isn't about using the older version indefinitely, just for problem solving so we can upgrade to the latest secure version.

According to Wikipedia, 4 years ago you would most likely have bought Photoshop CS5.
You can download Photoshop CS5 from Adobe. Start here:

You'll need your serial number to activate it. If you don't have that, you can likely find it on Adobe's main web site after you've logged-in with your Adobe ID. See the Find your serial number quickly link to pursue that.

I have opened the CC PS CS6 and used the oil paint filter on a photo - no problem. I then opened the new CC Photoshop 2014 and edited a photo - no problem. When I downloaded the CS6 it did give me an additional CS6 Bridge. So far so good, but I will post if I encounter problems.

Reinstalling an older version of iTunes on our Mac is not a good idea. Perhaps some easy maintenance suggestions will help.
Try running Disk Utility and Repairing Disk Permissions first. Launch Disk Utility (Applications/Utilities). Select MacintoshHD 10.x.x in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab, then click: Repair Disk Permissions. Quit DU when it's finished and reboot. Try to launch iTunes... if it still won't open..
/Users/YourName/Library/Preferences. Drag this file from the Preferences folder: com.apple.itunes.plist to your Desktop. Try to launch iTunes. If iTunes launches successfully, then that .plist file is corrupted. Drag it to the Trash, empty the Trash and reboot. You will have to reset your iTunes preferences but if deleting this file fixes the problem, then it's worth effort.
If you still have problems with iTunes, then perhaps an Archive and Install is in order. Back up all your important data/images/video/documents. When you are finished with the installation, at some point you will be prompted for an iTunes update. If you had good luck with 8.0.1, just don't go any farther with the updates for now.

I've tried to download previous versions but don't know how have followed the steps that adobe has given but my creative cloud doesn't come up with install but try and when i press it, it downloads and i just wanted to fins previous versions of photoshop such as cs6 and trial it thanks.

You can access previous CC versions of Photoshop from the CC Desktop.
First under "Find New Software", select "Previous versions"
Then under Photoshop, click the arrow on the Install button to see and install Previous Photoshop versions.

So the automatic update for Photoshop to CC 2014 disables my plug-ins as they're not compliant with Adobe's changes. OK, fine, though some notice would have been appreciated. Where can I download from the cloud and reinstall the previous version of Photoshop while developers scramble to get their plug ins compliant with the new version?

Did you deinstall Photoshop CC 14.x? The upgrade process doesn't do that - it should still be available to you.

Okay, after another hour of trying to resolve issues I have found some links that could help someone locate older versions. Not sure if it will resolve my problem but links may help someone that couldn't seem to locate them online.

You need to contact Oracle if you desire to participate in any of their test programs.
The latest public Java release is the JDK 8u20 update. You can download it from the Downloads tab on this page:

The 'release' you are talking about is likely just the critical patch update as discussed in the 8u20 release notes:

That version was licensed sold via what were variously known as retail OS X installation disks; via the purchase of a DVD disk.

Hi I have recently downloaded ITunes 9.0 for Windows XP.
ITunes 9.0 is giving me lots of problems! Errors, connection problems, and device errors.
But, when I had the Previous version of ITunes, it didn't give me any problem.
The latest version of ITunes, I guess its still in Beta Stage because it's new. So they are having problems and bugs within the latest version of ITunes.
So my question is: Is there any way I can download previous versions of the ITunes application?
