That version was licensed sold via what were variously known as retail OS X installation disks; via the purchase of a DVD disk.
If your hardware supports it, 10.7 is available via download from the Mac App Store, and via a USB key disk that's available.

Reinstalling an older version of iTunes on our Mac is not a good idea. Perhaps some easy maintenance suggestions will help.
Try running Disk Utility and Repairing Disk Permissions first. Launch Disk Utility (Applications/Utilities). Select MacintoshHD 10.x.x in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab, then click: Repair Disk Permissions. Quit DU when it's finished and reboot. Try to launch iTunes... if it still won't open..
/Users/YourName/Library/Preferences. Drag this file from the Preferences folder: com.apple.itunes.plist to your Desktop. Try to launch iTunes. If iTunes launches successfully, then that .plist file is corrupted. Drag it to the Trash, empty the Trash and reboot. You will have to reset your iTunes preferences but if deleting this file fixes the problem, then it's worth effort.
If you still have problems with iTunes, then perhaps an Archive and Install is in order. Back up all your important data/images/video/documents. When you are finished with the installation, at some point you will be prompted for an iTunes update. If you had good luck with 8.0.1, just don't go any farther with the updates for now.

What is the most current version of the SQL-Net Client software drivers that we should be using on our Windows Clients to hit our 8.1.6.3 server? Currently we are using 8.1.6.0.0 (per tnsping). According to the certification matrix, looks like 8.1.6.3.8, (right?)
Destination : Windows 98,NT,2000,XP Clients
Second, where can I download this SQL-Net Client software? And please don't tell me I have to download the entire server (I hoping, but if I do where?).

I think you might be running into the issue that:
1) The Yoga 2 Pro does not have a DVD player built-in, and therefore they don't include DVD playback software
2) Windows 8 (or 8.1) no longer includes the codecs to play DVDs and such. You have to upgrade to the Professional edition of it. (silly, yes).
I would personally just grab VLC Player from videolan.org, and use that. Works perfectly fine, and it's free.
(Did the external USB DVD not come w/ software? That's actually strange).

You need to contact Oracle if you desire to participate in any of their test programs.
The latest public Java release is the JDK 8u20 update. You can download it from the Downloads tab on this page:

The JRE expires whenever a new release with security vulnerability fixes becomes available. Critical patch updates, which contain security vulnerability fixes, are announced one year in advance on Critical Patch Updates, Security Alerts and Third Party Bulletin. This JRE (version 8u20) will expire with the release of the next critical patch update scheduled for October 14, 2014.
Unless you are part of Oracle's pre-release test program you will not have access to versions prior to their public release.

So, I made my parents get me a Mac, and now I'm starting to really regret it. I was in it for the camera and all the cool apps I could get. Unfortunately my laptop didn't come with any of it, and it's a really later version. I'm doing a project for school and i need the software iMovie, the thing is I can't find where to get it AT ALL. Also, I wanted to update my software to at least OS X 10.7, as I have 10.6.8, and I can't find anywhere to download that either. All I am finding is updates and I obviously can't update the **** thing if I don't have it in the first place.
So my question is, where can I download or even purchase iMovie 9 and OS X 10.7. (I mainly care about the iMovie)

Your parents have gifted you a pretty old Mac. iMovie 9 is iMovie '11, available on the Mac App Store (you can find it on the Dock), but it needs OS X 10.7.4 or newer.
The most recent OS X version is OS X Mountain Lion, OS X 10.8. OS X Lion (10.7) is available calling Apple > http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 However, I recommend you to upgrade to Mountain Lion, as it's the most recent version.
First, see if your Mac is compatible > http://www.apple.com/osx/specs Then, make a backup, open the Mac App Store and purchase OS X Mountain Lion. If your Mac isn't supported, the App Store will show you an error and it won't purchase OS X.

I own a copy of CS3 and I need to reinstall onto an old MacBook. I purchased the Suite in 2008 and have been happily using it for years without issue. However I had to reinstall the entire operating system and this has fried my optical drive, so I cannot remount the software via disks. Is it possible to download this version direct to OSX? As I say, my Optical Drive has died and the Mac is VERY old, but a direct download would work...
Does Abode provide this service?

Depends on what version of iPhoto and of the OS you have, wich you do not share? if you have any version of iPhoto '11 (version 9.x.x) then simply update it under updates in the App store. I was running Firefox 3.6.10 and received an update notice to download the latest version. After download and replacement(of new version) in Applications, I tried to open the new file and got a message that this version won't run on my Mac 10.4.11. I want to download Firefox 3.6.10 but cannot find it on the website. Any suggestions???
