Where can I download xcode for snow leopard?

Where can I download xcode for snow leopard?

I am a paid member of the developer program, and Xcode 4.2 for Snow Leopard does not appear in the downloads area. I just joined today and received email confirmation, but perhaps this update to my account has not worked its way through to Apple's back-end yet. Nevertheless, it appears that Xcode 4.2 for Snow Leopard is not available any more to anyone, whether they are paid members or not.

  • Does anyone know where to find and download xcode for Snow Leopard?

I need to access Xcode but it's not in App Store anymore. Any tips will be great.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
You can register as a free Apple developer in http://developer.apple.com, access to the Mac Dev Center and download Xcode 3 from there with Snow Leopard compatibility. This is the only way of getting Xcode 3, apart from the Snow Leopard disc or the DVDs that came with your Mac

  • Where Can I download Xcode for 10.2.8?

I have been looking for a way to get an earlier version of Xcode. (That will run on 10.2.8) Could anyone tell me where I could find it?

    Hi,
    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
First off, you can't use Xcode on 10.2.8, you need an earlier version of the developer tools. You should sign up for an online ADC membership. It's free.
Once you're signed up, there's a place at the ADC site where you can download the developer tools and such. I have a different level membership, so I don't know exactly what's available for ADC Online, but look at the Developer Tools page and look for the December 2002 Developer Tools. They're at the very bottom of that page in my accounts.
    best,
    charlie

  • I've paid $ 3,99 for Xcode for Snow Leopard. Now there is a new Xcode for Lion, so I downloaded the new one but the installed continued to be the old one. Now App Store says "Installed" and don't allow me to re-download Xcode. How can I proceed?

I've paid $ 3,99 for Xcode for Snow Leopard 12 days ago. After installing Lion I saw there is a new FREE Xcode for it, so I downloaded the new one but after installing automatically Xcode for Lion the Developer folder contained the old one. I deleted the old Xcode but the App Store says "Installed" and don't allow me re-download Xcode.
How can I proceed? I'm guessing whether this problem will occur each time I buy an application from App Store.

Yes, that's righ, Xcode installer was in the Apps folder. I assumed it had been automatically installed and the installer deleted after installation (the same way as Lion is installed).
I tried also the procedure for redownloding applications, and MAS showed both Xcodes (Lion and Snow Leopard) and OS X Lion. We see that buttons for Lion and Xcode for Snow Leopard say 'Install' but Xcode for Lion says 'installed' because there is an Install Scode in the Apps folder.
    Thank you.

  • I can't (re)install Xcode for Snow Leopard

After deinstalling of Xcode for Snow Leopard, when I try to install it again in AppStore I get 2 error messages, the first one is "This item is temporarily unavailable. / Please try again." and the scond one is "We could not complete your request. / There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (100)". I really need the Xcode and... what I've paid my $$$ for if I can't get the purchase?

It looks like Apple forcing our moving to Lion.
It's not good thing at all and for me specially. I have some software that aren't compartible with Lion so I can't move to it right now.
So far, so less I like AppStore for Mac. The iPad/iPhone version of AppStore has no such problems, why the Mac's one has? Ugrh

So I guess they just yanked it from the App Store. Boo!
I contacted App Store support and they gave me my money back, so that's something, but what I really want is Xcode 4 for Snow Leopard.

  • Cannot install XCode for Snow Leopard from the Appstore.

So... I reinstalled OSX, mainly for the fact I wanted to... but now I'm trying to reinstall my Apps from the App Store, specificly XCode4, which is now titled "XCode for Snow Leopard" in my purchased apps... But I cannot download/install it. I get an "This is not available error" followed by a Error 100...
Apple tech support is being utterly useless for this. Any ideas?

Xcode ( 4.1.1) on the AppStore is now only for Lion.
On the Developer Portal you can still access the freely available 3.2.6 package even without being a paying Apple Developer ( need only a Apple-ID to connect to the Mac Developer Portal for normal Users ) . 4.x was a paid app, so it is not accesible for average users from there nor from AppStore.

  • What is the latest version of XCode for Snow Leopard?

I have XCode 4.0.2 for Snow Leopard installed.  Is that the latest version available for Snow Leopard?
Is Apple pushing us to upgrade to Lion to get a version newer than 4.0.2.  I see that XCode 4.2 is available for Lion.
    David.

This information might be useful for those who are not members of the $99/year iOS Developer Program.  I am not a member, I have Snow Leopard, and I purchased Xcode 4.0 for $5 from the Mac App Store in March 2011.  Just for fun I searched the app store for Xcode.  As expected, the only search result is Xcode 4.2 with stated minimum requirement 10.7 (Lion).  I am curious why it even shows Snow Leopard users the active Free button that implies I can download it.  I don't know how the app store works but I assume it would not let me install this on 10.6 Snow Leopard.
But the Purchased view shows Xcode for Snow Leopard.  I noticed the button on the right showed Update rather than Installed.  Clicking the item name to find details including the version number shows Your request could not be completed.  I decided to update in hopes this would be 4.2.  I deleted Install Xcode from my Applications folder, restarted the App Store, then pressed the Update button.  1.77GB later I have Install Xcode in my Applications folder, preview shows version 4.2 (used to show 4.0.2),
The installer just finished running, I now have Xcode 4.2 build 4C199.  About Xcode.pdf in the Developer folder starts with Developer tools for Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and iOS 5.  So this is clearly not exactly the same as Xcode 4.2 for Lion.  It does include the iOS 5 SDK, LLVM 3.0, etc.  Not sure what is different in the Lion build.

  • I have Leopard 10.5.8. How can i download and install Snow Leopard or Lion? Thanks.

Currently, I have Leopard 10.5.8. How can i download and install Snow Leopard or Lion? Thanks for your help.

You need to *call* Apple at 1-800-MY-APPLE, as Ralph already said.
But "since one week" sounds like a direct translation of French "il y a".  You should call your local country's Apple suuport and ask.
Here is Amazon, from a "snow leopard buy" Google search: http://www.amazon.com/Mac-version-10-6-3-Snow-Leopard/dp/B001AMHWP8

  • Where can I download Xcode?

I have Mac OS X 10.7. I'd like to download Xcode, so I've been at
    http://developer.apple.com/support/xcode/
where it says "Xcode 4.2 for Lion is available as a free download from the Mac App Store. If you are registered as an Apple Developer, you can download Xcode 3 for free."
Then, I opened the Mac App Store, entered my Apple ID and password, and it said "This Apple ID has never been used in the iTunes Store. Verify your account information." and then asked for my credit card. Problem is that I have no credit card, therefore I can't access the store...
The XCode 3 link provided above does not work either, as it redirects to http://developer.apple.com/xcode/ which only displays information for Xcode 4 and gives no download link.
So where can I download Xcode from?

It mounts. Copied-and-pasted from the Terminal:
    md5 xcode_4.2.1_for_lion.dmg
    MD5 (xcode_4.2.1_for_lion.dmg) = 625969ef5bd2f1f7c7e1d401f7e642eb
    openssl sha1 xcode_4.2.1_for_lion.dmg
    SHA1(xcode_4.2.1_for_lion.dmg)= b3269d372b2fcc79655eab3505b2856f179cfda0
I also found this one, maybe it can help you.

    or
2 - the iLife DVD you purchased
    or
3 - the App store under purchases when you log in using the Apple ID it was acquired with
