Where can i find a 32-bit Firefox browser? Can't find it anywhere on this damn website!

I need a 32 bit browser to run Chemdraw for my chemistry class. Problem is I can't find a version of it anywhere!'''W''' Any version will do!

All Firefox downloads on this site are 32-bit. There is no offically released 64-bit version.

  • Windows Vista 64 bit/firefox browser -which flash?

    Hi, Can you please tell me what version of flash to install on Windows Vista 64 bit/ firefox browser?..Thanks!

    Well, Firefox doesn't make a 64-bit version, so it won't use any 64-bit plugins, as far as I know.
    Likewise, in IE10 (in Win7 or 8... MS blackmail encouraging you to update), unless you've checked Enable Protected Mode on the Security tab, AND have checked Enable Enhanced Protected Mode way down in the Security section on the Advanced tab (both tabs are in Internet Options), even if you explicitly run the 64-bit iexplore.exe file located in C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\ subdir, it actually loads a 32-bit tab in the 64-bit window, and any page loaded in that 32-bit tab will use 32-bit plugins and add-ons.  To force it to load 64-bit tabs in the 64-bit window (and ergo use 64-bit plugins and add-ons, such as the 64-bit ActiveX version of FlashPlayer, if available), both of those Protected Mode options must be checked.
    You can confirm that by looking in Task Manager on the Processes tab... without those Protected Mode options checked, you'll see an instance of iexplore.exe (for each 64-bit window) and an instance of iexplore.exe *32 (32-bit) for each tab open; WITH those Protected Mode options checked (then fully close all instances of Internet Explorer - just reboot to make sure), all you'll see is an instance of iexplore.exe for each 64-bit window, plus an instance of iexplore.exe for each tab open... and in that case you shouldn't see *any* instances of iexplore.exe *32 on the Processes tab.

  • Can access Yahoo, but can't open Yahoo Mail in Firefox. Can on Internet explorer.

    Can access Yahoo, but Can't open Yahoo Mail in Firefox. Can open Yahoo Mail on Internet Explorer. Checked Password.

    PROBLEM: This is the error I get when I simply try to open an email in Firefox. File not found Firefox can't find the file at http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/dc/blank.html?bn=555&.intl=us&.lang=en-US. * Check the file name for capitalization or other typing errors. * Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.
    POSSIBLE SOLUTION:
    I contacted Yahoo and they had me clear (1) cookies and (2) cache. This did work so that I can now open the emails in Firefox.
    COMMENTS:
    Yahoo support said "Please rest assured that Yahoo! Mail is properly working as of this time. It would be best if you contact Mozilla Firefox help support. They have the right tools and knowledge with the settings to access Internet Sites like Yahoo! Mail on Mozilla Firefox browser."
    I'd like to know what to do to prevent this in the future because I've had this issue twice now in the last few weeks.

  • Firefox browser very slow signing in and moving from one website to another

    firefox browser very slow signing in and opening different websites.

    Windows xp

    Hello BJ.
    This kind of issues are, unfortunately, more common and the we'd like. Thankfully, 99% of the cases are very easy to solve. However, you do need to diagnose what your exact problem is. Do this:
    #run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe-mode] to disable all extensions, themes and plugins. If this fixes your issues, be them with RAM or CPU usage, then you know it's a problem with plugins, themes or extensions. Proceed to number 2. If safe-mode doesn't fix the issues, then read bellow, after this list;
    #update all extensions, themes and plugins in your Firefox. If this doesn't solve the issues, proceed to the following number;
    #disable all extensions, themes and plugins in your Firefox (not running safe-mode). Being certain that, as in safe-mode, the problems you're having have gone away, enable one plugin at a time. You should be certain that you WANT that plugin to be enabled, so keep your overall number of plugins as low as possible. When you encounter the problems, you know you've found a problematic plugin, so disable it for good. Keep enabling all plugins (except problematic ones) until you've gone through them all.
    #enable one extension at a time. Again, be certain that you WANT that extension to be enabled, so keep your overall number of extensions as low as possible. Also, try the theme you want to have installed so see if that is what's causing the problem. When you encounter the problems, you know you've found a problematic extension/theme, so disable it for good. Keep enabling all your extensions (except problematic ones) until you've gone through them all;
    #you're done! You've fixed your problems with problematic add-ons. If you want to keep using those problematic add-ons, please contant their author for support.
    Ok, if disabling all extensions and plugins through safe-mode didn't work to bring Firefox's CPU and RAM usage to good levels, then you have different issue. The most likely scenario is that you have a third party software running on your computer that is messing with Firefox. Do as follows:
    #try reinstally Firefox. No data will be lost. You can get the latest version for free at [http://www.getfirefox.com/ getfirefox.com]. If that doesn't fix the problem, proceed;
    #do a virus/malware check on your computer. If this doesn't fix it, proceed;
    #disable all software running in the background that you don't want to have running in the background (in windows, this is done by pressing WINDOWS+R in your keyboard, typing "msconfig" (without the commas) and pressing enter. Now, under the "Startup" tab, you can uncheck the software you don't want, and reboot your system for changes to take effect. If you're unsure of what software you want running, ask someone with more experience). If this doesn't fix your issues with Firefox, proceed;
    #check your firewall/antivirus/security suite for enabled functions/features that you don't want and/or may be conflicting with Firefox. You'll find that these features are most likely tied to Internet Security features, such as link scanners or URL checkers and the like. If you're not sure they are conflicting with Firefox, simply try to disable them to see whether or not that's true. As long as you don't browse the web with your antivirus completely off and your firewall completely turned off, there should be no problems. If this doesn't solve the issues, proceed to the following number;
    #check your operating system security options, mainly advanced options that are not configured by default. While it's very unlikely that this may be the cause of the problem (after all, it's the last item on the list), it's remotely possible. If this doesn't work, proceed to the following point;
    #clean up your OS registry, using appropriate software. If this doesn't do it, I'm out of ideas. Except make sure you've followed my instructions correctly.

  • My laptop is not running well since installing Firefox 4. How can I go back to using Firefox 3, which I find better in so many ways?

    My laptop is quite old; that is a given fact. None of my programs are running well since I installed Firefox 4. It seems to have particularly compromised my Outlook and email downloads, also opening PDF files. Neither do I like the 'build' of Firefox 4. I had Firefox 3 set to the way I like to work as my personal tool or implement. This is the way things should be, not the other way around. Please let me know of I can re-install an earlier version?
    I will not be changing my laptop or operating system any time soon.

    To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
    You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
    To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.
    For details of how to find your profile folder see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles

  • [DATA LOSS] I closed the Tab Groups and all my tabs dissapeared. How can I recover the tabs in Firefox 26? Would you please just delete this feature?

    Thank-you in advance for reading all of this.
    A slip of the mouse in trying to return to the left-most tab caused the tab groups feature to take over the window. I completely failed to comprehend what I was looking at and closed the thing by clicking the x because I damn sure didn't want what I was looking at. Undo close group? Of course not, I didn't want a group in the first place. Hey! My tabs are completely gone now! So in just a few steps all of which seemed innocent, I have lost all but ten of the tabs that were open, and those were only the most recent ten (and actually older tabs would have been more valueable than newer so insult on top of injury).
    I don't think increasing the number of undoable tab closures is the answer. I think getting rid of the tab groups feature all together is the best way to go. I seem to have lost all the tabs I had open, irretrievably, and some of them had been open for WEEKS so they can't be reopened from history.
    The tab groups feature is a data loss bug. Please remove it from the UX completely. If you have to figure out a way to grandfather people who actually have a tab group, fine but don't further vex me with it, please.
    The reason this catastrophe has occurred is that your feature, was so discoverable that I activated it by mistake, and the UI after that had to be learned on the spot, yet was too complicated to learn. You really should withdraw it until you can figure out how to keep the UI for it from causing data loss such as I have experienced this morning.
    Also, there may be other questions on this feature which are from a certain point of view the same as this one. It's hard for me to tell for sure. None of them had a true resolution so that's why I posted this one, also I'm seeking a specific fix, removal of the offending feature.
    Why remove the feature? Because if I allow in my discussion the possibility of retaining it, it will stick around in its present and dangerous form until your team is done bikeshedding the new form it should take. Instead I want you to delete the feature and then require its champion to convince you that a new incarnation won't cause data loss before you allow it back in.
    Fellow users, if you know of a way to recover all 50 lost tabs from an "undo close tab group incident", I would be grateful for that advice, but I would still believe the feature should be deleted. Some of the tabs have been retained for months so digging them out of the history is not practical.

    I am not 100% certain but I am fairly sure development of this tab feature has ceased and it is likely to be deprecated. I am even less sure what the replacement will be.

    I have not tried this and am not even using Windows at present but the tabs groups are stored as entries in the sessionstore.js files. Firefox has such a file plus sometimes numbered copies and a backup copy. Firefox will have re-writen these files but I suppose there is a posibility the Windows OS may have kept copies.
    * see http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Previous-versions-of-files-frequently-asked-questions
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Sessionstore.js Note the files are kept within the Firefox Profile
    ** Firefox Button -> Help -> Troubleshooting [open profile] (or some thing similar) is one method of locating the profile.
    Find and backup any current sessionstore.js file. Consider also bookmark or otherwise recording anything you have open. Now find any previous versions and try putting them in Firefox's profile before restarting it.

  • I can't get to the Mozilla Firefox browser so I've gone back to Google. Help?

    I was happily using a previous version of Mozilla firefox with all my settings and then decided to upgrade to the latest version. It's all installed ok but where is the browser? You guys have made it so confusing I've had to go back to google. I have the screen with the bear wearing hat and cane, next to a spin wheel, but how do I get to the browser? Very frustrated - Please advise.

    Are you saying that you don't have the Menus at the top of the Firefox window (File, Edit, View, etc.)? If that is the case:
    #Press Alt on the keyboard to bring up the menus
    #Click on the View menu, go down to Toolbars and select Menu Bar to make menu stay.
    For more info see, [[Menu bar is missing]].

  • In dveloping a web page as a new user to html, I can't open my file in Firefox but can in IE what is the difference in this HTML for Firefox?

    I have a problem with the HTML documentation on all of my pages nothing will shows. I had a page developed ion 2006 that worked fine and but then none of the pages worked so I began to rewrite new pages as opposed to revising my old ones. Nothing is working and nothing will show up and the HTML language is all checked. I wrote a simple page to show one graphic and it still will not work. Am I missing something here at the beginning of each page? This happens to all people that try to view my page using Firefox. I am as you can guess a novice at this.

  • HP 6890, Windows 8, 64 bit, Firefox browser, Samsung Laptop

    I have checked most of the posts on this section and I find the driver, download it, and try to install.  I have deleted my printer, uninstalled it, started from scratch to install the printer, but whenever I plug in the USB cable, I get the same "can't locate the driver" message.  I have removed device, uninstalled device, went through the device manager and tried to update the driver....I just don't know what else I can do.  I am rather new at Windows 8, but I have talked with various people (Geek Squad), and they have helped me through this, but it still doen't find the driver.
    I'm sure it is something very simple, but I can't figure it out.  I have better than average knowledge of computers, but I am really tired of wasting all the time I have trying to get the driver installed.
    I forgot to mention...I have had the printer working on a dongle before, but I can't even get that to connect to the computer now.

    Hi Doris104
    I understand you are unable to install the printer on Win 8.
    I would download and run the Print and Scan Doctor.
