Where can I find a quality stock music site?

Yes I realize this is a bit off topic - but where better to ask? Lately I've been searching around quite a bit for music tracks (for short corporate and PR pieces). Some sites are more convenient to use then other (for example, Productiontrax.com is great - you can download a low rez version first to try it out, then pay later). HOWEVER, 99% of the music is terrible. Badly sampled synth garbage with a music as laxative approach. I think quality music is important and I don't mind paying more for something just a LITTLE more sophisticated with at least a few real instrumens. So if you know of any good sources (I realize there's a fair amount of subjectivity in this) please post.

I've used http://SoundDogs.com - not always the best music, but some good stuff...

Where can I find iWeb's stock files?

Hello! I was wondering where I can find the stock photo files that are put as placeholders in iPhoto's themes. I was wanting to use them outside of iWeb, and can't seem to locate them!

Then, in the Finder do Command-Shift-G.
Paste the line and hit return.
Right-click the theme of your choice and choose Show Package content.
Open the Shared folder.

Where can I find my old purchased music that disappeared?

When trying to upload music from my flashdrive from an old computer to my new computer, i followed the steps online to upload music from the external drive. I had purchased music on my new computer from iTunes, and its gone now. What can I do to get it back? I have already tried following the steps online.

What steps did you use... The new iTunes does have a section that allows you to re-download past purchases. I actually used it the other day - yesterday in fact. It did work....

Hello out there.
Like a lot of amateur editors I am looking for a web site to download free instrumental back ground music for my projects.
I am looking for acoustic guitar, drum-n-bass, and also a few sound effects.
If you have used or know of any sites please let me know.
I am starting a project, so it's nothing I need in a hurry.
I don't add any music until the last.
Then I don't have to keep repositioning it on the time line as I make edits and cuts.

After searching several sites I have used http://audiojungle.net for a couple of years now and have been very happy with my purchases. It's not free but the prices are really reasonable and it is all original stuff.

I am re-creating tunes by groups like Pat Metheny, Weather Report, etc. I need more jazz-type drum samples (brushes, etc), and vintage synth sounds like Oberheim four voice lead. Where can I find good quality samples that can be loaded into Logic Pro 7.2? Thanks!

There is LOTS of stuff out there...
Drums these days are generally going to BFD, DFH, or Addictive Drums... at least as far as having quality samples you program yourself. Loop libraries are also an option. Also google "Brush Artistry" for some great brush loops. Garritans Big Band and Jazz has some nice brush samples as well.
There are lots of synth plug-ins that can do the Oberheim thing. Check out the plug-ins from Arturia. Spectrasonics Atmosphere has some Oberheim-like patches in it, and even has a few with Lyle Mays' name in it, because they sound so much like what he used back in the day.
Keep in mind, anything that is available as an Audio Unit can be used in Logic. Self contained plug-ins are becoming the rage these days with developers, because the sounds can't be as easily stolen as a wave or aiff sample set. It also allows them to do custom programming, that can make the instrument more playable.
I'm sure others will have great suggestions as well...

There is no download for the software. The factory software that you are looking for is called ilife. It is all of the software that would have came preinstalled with your mac on your original hard drive when you first bought it. You will have to get new software on your computer. This might actually be a great opurtunity to upgrade to Lions. Search the Lions software in the mac store and it will come up. Click add to cart and check out. The price for it is $20. I defientely recomend Lions, it has alot of new great features. Then wate for the install disk to come in the mail. when it come just pop it in and follow the step by step instructions. If you dont want to upgrade to lions however you can download the ilife package from apple.com for a small price. Hope this helps.

Where can I find a Driver for my PCI Adapter WMP54G Version 4.1?

My operating system is Windows XP 32 bit. I had to reinstall XP and fouind that I have no idea where in my home I stored the install disc that came with the PCI adapter. Checked online at the linksys site and they no longer support my PCI adapter and they wanted to sell me their latgest adapter - which I don't want. Where can I find a reliable drive download site that won't come with a lot of junk or viruses?   Thanks for your help..!

I downloaded a driver from "driverguide.com" as suggested by one responder. It came along with a Trojan virus that fortunately my antivirus program (Panda) found.
Next I tried the suggestion about downloading Version 2..0 driver.  I did, but my Windows XP could not open the file. (Not sure why Version 2.0 was suggested, since my PCI card is Version 4.1). So this suggestion went nowhere.
I did find that there are MANY Linksys items for sale on Ebay and may pursue one of those.
In closing - I want to thank all those who responded and tried to help. I also want to mention that I am not happy that Linksys basically "threw us under the bus" by no longer providing a simple driver download for WMP54G owners. There are thousands of us out there and it is certainly easy to forget where you filed away your installation disc.....especially if you're older and have trouble remembering things anyway. (I'm 78).

All the storage in "Backups" is taken up by local snapshots, which are made automatically in all MacBooks, MacBooks Pro and MacBooks Air with OS X Lion or newer and Time Machine turned on.

What's available is what the record companies and artists have licensed Apple to sell in your country. There is no genre for "acoustic" or "unplugged", though, so what is there may be a bit tricky to find. You can try doing a Power Search with "unplugged" or "acoustic" in the album title field, but that will of course only find those albums which have those words actually in the title. Otherwise, you may have to look for album titles for acoustic music on some other site and then look for the specific album in the iTunes Store.

go to www.nokia.co.uk, click on get support and software on the top green toolbar. Then scroll down and click on the button which says update your phone software. From here you select your phone and follow the instructions. gd luck!
