Hi All,
Wls 6.1 uses ANT extensively. Can any body pls tell me where can I find docs on Ant
and build syntaxes for weblogic apllications ?
Or is it the same that is available from Apache ?

I had used Acrobat PDF SDK in the past but it didnt serve the purpose and we had to abort plan. THis time we are using PDF LIBRARY SDK instead. When can i find the code and documentation for it?
The only page I see is http://www.adobe.com/devnet/pdf/library/
So I want to study the object models, objects, functions etc, cant find it. Also is there a book you can suggest to study it. I sort of know the PDF-SDK wel, is the PDF-LIBRARY-SDK almost the same ?
Pls direct me to the code and documentation, so I can start coding on it.

The other is the Adobe PDF Library. It's a library from Adobe for

Where can I find good docs on emctl?

I'm getting all manner of errors when I try to start our EM agent (run emctl start dbconsole). But when I search the docs on "emctl" to try and figure out what it doesn't like I get a disappointing selection of hits.
Where should I be looking in order to wise up on this stuff and work out what we're doing wrong?

Yes, it looks like 11g doc doesn't have emctl. You can use 10g document because emctl seems still using old code from 10g. See the output from 11g emctl.
EMCA and emctl are used for different purpose. emca is to configure EM and emctl used to start/stop and checking status etc.

Where can i find the doc about xml config file of 9ias?

i cant find the "Oracle9iAS Containers for J2EE User’s Guide",
it should contains the info about the xml config file, i dont
know why oracle launch a product without the config guide, i
have read ton of material for learning the configuration of 9ias
but still have not find the answer!

WebLogic 11gR1: Where can I find the docs and the examples

I just installed the Zip Distribution of WebLogic 11gR1 on Ubuntu 10.10. I also installed the supplemental zip, that contained samples.
On the WebLogic 9 installation on a windows box at work, starting up WebLogic causes it to bring up a browser with a web page with very nice documentation on it, including hyperlinks to the examples. How do I find this page with my at home ZIp Distribution?

supported on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X systems. It contains the necessary
artifacts to develop and test applications on WebLogic Server.
WLS supplemental zip requires that the primary zip distribution is already set
up and is ready to use. Supplemental zip contains samples, evaluation database
(Derby) and L10N console help files.
The following instructions should help in quickly setting up the extra
components in WLS via the supplemental zip. Please refer to the general WLS
documentation for detailed instructions.
QUICKSTART
1. Ensure that WLS has been installed under MW_HOME (eg: /home/myhome/mywls)
using the zip distribution - wls@WLS_VERSION@_dev.zip
2. Extract the contents of the supplemental zip MW_HOME
3. Setup JAVA_HOME and MW_HOME variables in the current shell.
This should pre-exist.

This step creates the sample domains. The sample
domains should be created in MW_HOME/wlserver/samples.
5. WLS can be started from these sample domains by issuing startWebLogic command.
This will also bring up the WLS console in the default browser.
6. Start a browser and open up url - 'http://localhost:7001/console' to
administer the server.

The supplemental zip contents are interleaved with the base zip contents. You
have to delete the MW_HOME directory which will delete both the WLS

Where can I find reference docs for descriptor xml files?

Hi,
I am trying to do some analysis on an existing application. I have all the descriptor xml files and want to get detailed information on the options available on each tag. For example, there is a <maintain-cache> tag within the <query> tag and I would like to find the details of the options available. Is there a DTD or XML schema definition available where these options are discussed in detail? I'd prefer to see this discussion from the XML descriptor file (lowest level) perspective.

Although TopLink's meta data is generally used in XML it is typically modified using the mapping editors (standalone Mapping Workbench or JDeveloper integration). These provide access to all of the configurable options. In addition some customer extend or write their descriptors in code using the documented API.
The best way to interpret the XML is to use the XSD in conjunction with the API. You will find the organization of the XSD matches the programmatic API in the JavaDocs.

When i use the wls samples,in a build.xml,i saw the lines:

Go to SARA->object Name->Management for finding the archive session details.
You could check table ADMI_RUN and ADMI_FILES for the details.

Where can i find the already deployed applications in weblogic 10

hi,
i like to find where is the application in the bea directory after installing using the weblogic 10.3 console?
Previously in weblogic 8, the file can be found in c:/bea/userprojects/domains/<domain_name>/applications/<my_web_application> after i deployed using the weblogic console
The file structure has been change for weblogic 10. Where can i find the files?

It depends in which modeu have deployed your applications:
If you will deploy your Application using nostage=”true” in the Above ANT script then It will be deployed on the Server in no Stage mode ...means the Actual Location of the Application will be used by the Server.
If you will deploy your Application using stage=”true” in the Above ANT script then It will be deployed on the Server in Stage mode ...means the the application will be staged inside the "<DOMAIN_HOME>\servers\<SERVER_NAME>\stage" directory.
