A try at google with sufficient keywords often reveals the answer.
My estimate is 60-80% of the questions posted here can be solved by constructing a good google search, and take some time to read the hits.
Of course experience with using linux helps (to choose the rights search keywords)
To the original poster: there is a very valuable command called 'man', which means 'manual'. if you need information about commands, use the manual, for example: man lsto learn about the 'ls' (list) command. also try man manthe manual page about the manual pages command.

I would like to know how to read Likert results. Any help would be appreciated.
I have 15 comments that I need feedback from. There are three possible responses; Seldom, Sometimes, & Often. I would like to assign a point value (numeric value) to each response.
Seldom=1
Sometimes=2
Often=3
Once they have been answered , I would like to then take the total point values of only specific questions and display them. (e.g.Questions 2,4,7,9,13). Is it possible to track and assign a point value to each response. I figure once I get them into variables I can create an Advance Action to do the math. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Where can I find trials that I've already downloaded?

I successfully downloaded the trial version of Adobe Photoshop CS6 on the Download Assitant using Windows 7 earlier today, and it worked perfectly fine. I worked on it for a bit, then closed it down, intending to come back to it later. When I tried to open it again, I couldn't find the file anywhere. Where can I go to access it again?

I believe you have installed the rpogram after downloading it.
Please check Start > All Programs and see if it's listed there. You can also check 'Control Panel' > 'Programs and Features' to confirm if it was installed at all.

Where can I find documentation for the HSP* Custom Functions

I can see a number of HSP functions are registered in Essbase but cannot find any documentation for them. I am reluctant to use them for client development without some proper documentation. Does anyone know where it can be found?
The functions are :

Many of these look interesting. Some of them seem obvious, others might have a number of paramenters and options.

Here is the contents of essfunc.xml. A little bit more information than what is available than in EAS; for example regarding function @HspGetMbrCount, it has a limited function prototype "@HspGetMbrCount(StringArray)" and purpose "Returns the member count of the range provided". I got this from Oracle/Middleware/user_projects/essbase1/EssbaseServer/essbaseserver1/java. You can view it more easily in Internet Explorer or vim.

Where can I find archived mail and how can I retrieve it?

I archived emails I wanted to keep and retread later, but I don't know where they've gone to or how to get them to read. Any help will be appreciated. I have an iPad mini , the iOS is 6.1 I'm pretty sure.

What email service are you using POP3, IMAP, Google, iCloud, your internet service provider?
With POP3 by default the iPad is set to delete old emails automatically. POP3 accounts such as the one your internet service provider gave you will have settings on the iPad you can change. Go to Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendars/"Your Email Account"/Advanced and set Deleted Emails/Remove to never. I find this option is not labeled very well and gives the impression it is for the messages in the Trash, but auto deletes messages in the Inbox as well.
IMAP accounts such as iCloud and GMail are on the server and effect all devices.

Where can I find files that I have dowloaded from the internet

I have tried many times to open pdf or other type of files in attachments to email and from the internet. However I am never able to actually find (much less open) these files. Can anyone tell me where they are stored and how to access them? I will not be able to connect to my computer so I am wonderig if this can be done via Pre? Thanks for any help you can provide. Also wherever these are stored cwill they effect my available memory?

If you double click the crop bars, they go to exactly where your play head is.
If you need a more granular edit, you can download the source files of the recording (I would do it after having at least one edit in the recording) by adding /output/yorunamehere.zip?download=zip to the URL for your recording. Then you should see an edit.xml file (if edits are present in the recording), where you can put in the edits at whatever timings you want. You will need to know where the edits go before doing this, as it is a blind edit. Then rezip all the files back up and upload to the connect server to have a duplicate version of the recording, with your edits.
Other than that, there is not much that can be done to get a more specific edit.

The Eclipse web site doesn't seem to have a "how to install this" document -
although I might have missed something...
For Windows, I have always unzipped the downloaded file and just fired up the
executable - ie it doesn't seem to need to be "installed". (If you need to you can set
the java runtime to be used and the location of startup.jar: but the former is only
a concern if you have multiple runtimes, and I've never needed to set the latter except
on Linux where Eclipse is started via a link in /usr/bin or whereever).
