Hi, I'm doing some research on SAP ERP and would like to know if there are any guides or informative documents (too many details are not necessairy) on the following:
1) The technological requirements for a company that is thinking about moving to SAP ERP. Ex: What a company might require in technology to be able to implement SAP ERP. (generally speaking)
2) Is a company ready to receive SAP ERP? Does it need to hire more staff with certain experiences? What resources are needed after the SAP deployment? (to run the system)
3) How does a company know if SAP ERP required to stay on top of the competition?
4) Are SAP Consultants the ones who do all the judgements above?

- Technology requirements basically involde hardware (servers) and software (SAP). Now the size of these hardware and the exact component requirements depends on the number of estimate users and business requirements.
- For a company to run SAP ERP, SAP consultants are required. Yes SAP is complex and needs experts for deployment, especially for business critical operation.
- Business benefits of ERP are maintained, the company needs to see if these suffice its requirements.
- Judgements needs SAP consultants' expertise, but the decision to implement SAP ERP is the company's. How to deploy needs SAP consultants.

The path is SPRO>Financial Accounting (New)>Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable>Customer Accounts>Master Data>Preparations for Creating Customer Master Data>Define Account Groups with Screen Layout (Customers)
Select your account group
Double click on it
Double click on sales data
Select Group sales or etc and double click on it
Then change field status as you require and save it

Where can I find document link ?

Hello,
we have to migrate QM-Notifications, which have documents attached with the services for object-button. The migration of the Notifications is not a problem. However we don't find where the attached documents physically are stored. I searched these forums for 2 days and I tried a lot, but still I only find ID's of all kind. Which function gives me the path to my attached document ? I want to migrate the path if possible, not retrieve the document itself.
Can you please help me as soon as possible ?

I have had to deal with a similar problem. Here is my understanding of the addresses. There is a field in the sales order partner table (VBPA-ADRNR) that links the partner to an address. When you create an order, the address number is copied from the customer master. If you change the address on the order, then VBPA-ADRNR is given a new number to store the new address that you just created.
When you create with reference, the address number in VBPA-ADRNR is copied from the reference order to the new order. If that number is different than what is in the customer master and you change the address on the new order, then the reference order will also be changed because they are tied to the same address number (ADRNR).
The solution is to change copy control. In copy control you can exclude copying the address number when creating with reference. If you do that, then the address in the new order will be the same as the customer master. However, you can then change it without affecting the referenced order. Keep in mind, that if you do this, you won't be able to copy the changed address in the reference order to the new order.

Apple Products: 2 IPAD 2's. iMac, 2 Iphone4S, iphone 3S, Ipods. I have 1 itunes account and make play list, for each device that needs to sync, but it seems I might have to have multiple accounts? Also same thing with photo library on my iMac. I would not want to have multiple accounts if I don't need to. But it seems the ipads can not send Messaging or use the Apple talk to each other because I use the same Itunes account? There is no manuls to set these up. If just one person, all would work fine. But this is a family....

Where can I find VI Description & usage for VIs in Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2009\vi.lib\variable

In the the said folder are many VIs. They are all part of the NI_Variable.lvlib. However there is no help or description (context help just shows the terminals and names) for many of these VIs. Where can you find more 'help' on these VIs, the block diagram is password protected.

If there is no detailed help in the LabVIEW help, or on ni.com, you will probably need to ask about specific VIs for more detailed information. I would first search the LabVIEW help and the website, however.

Where can we find details about the different contributor types?

I see a few members being designated as 'Copper' and 'Silver' contributors. Where can we find more details about these contributor levels?

The initial ranks are based pretty much on post count only - (having been around for awhile I've seen the "progression"!) - Once you attain the Bronze ranking, other criteria come into play, and as Ann said, details are known only to the admins to prevent manipulation and "rank climbing" as it's been called.
I gather it's some combination of post count, tag count, kudos received, solutions authored, and then some totally subjective criteria (how well you "play with others", general helpfulness, accuracy of information given, etc).
The mods and admins do an excellent job of keeping this place informative, useful, and a pretty pleasant place to be.

Thanks in advanceUnfortunately we do not release such documentation that goes in depth with the differences between firmware releases. As far as I know this will change in the future, but I do not have any schedule and/or details.
Between 06.60 and 06.19 there is no new features, the 06.60 is only a sustaining release which includes bug fixes. New features are in 07.10 (for the ST6000 arrays) and they are described normally in the ST6000 Release Notes.

Where can I find the the list of transactions for ESS screens?

I want to test an ESS functionality in the SAP GUI. Where can I find the transactions for these screens? Is there such a table where these tcodes are stored?
I believe you can test the ESS screens through inputting the tcode in SE93.

What version backend are you on? For the most part, you can look at it like this....
For ITS based services....each ITS service will be tied to a transaction. You can find this by looking in the "service" file for the interent service (ie. double click on the top folder shown for the service and it will show you the service parameters in the rigth hand content area in t-code SE80). Most (but not all) can be found that way. Also, if you are on ECC5 or ECC6, you can look in t-code SICF at the individual services to find the parameters there as well (a little more navigation required).
For Java Webdynpro and ABAP Webdynpro ESS services, however, you will not really have a transaction so to speak. They communicte primarily through classes and BAPIs. Nothing there for you to find in SE93.

Where can I find detailed, systematic HELP for advanced topics relating to Thunderbird?

In moving from XP to Windows 7, I opted for Thunderbird as email client in order to bypass Microsoft's hyper-intrusive Windows Live Mail (I used Outlook Express for years).
I have a very complicated email structure, and it's taken me weeks (seriously) to learn how to replicate it in TBird. Now I'm trying to customize TBird further, but none of the TBird articles/forum Q&A's/Google searches address my questions.
There is no live tech support for TBird, and I'm just about ready to leave it for good. However -- one last effort: where can I find detailed, systematic HELP for advanced topics relating to Thunderbird?

I am no expert, but I don't know of any authoritative reference as to what elements of HTML and CSS are supported in Thunderbird. However, as I believe you appreciate, it's more than just what Thunderbird supports, but one must also think about what is likely to work in other email clients. Keep it simple. Avoid ancient deprecated tags that other email clients may not support, and for similar reasons, avoid cutting edge technology. Remember that recipients using tablets or smartphones won't appreciate large fancy email documents.
The only thing ''guaranteed'' to work in email is plain text. ;-)
If you haven't already discovered it, the Stationery add-on is designed specifically to support OE stationery in Thunderbird. Your existing stationery may "just work" in this add-on. It makes switching between various stationery templates much easier, but I'm not confident that it will affect interpretation of your CSS or HTML coding.
Your code is at least clean and minimal. Most times my involvement with troublesome templates and signatures centres on the horrible bloat and mso custom code generated by Word or Outlook.
Having said that, you and I are mortal enemies, as I don't have much patience with what you aspire to achieve. I specifically don't like background images, nor being obliged to suffer other folks' bizarre choice of typefaces and colours (but your simple 12pt black Tahoma is quite inoffensive. ;-) ) I'm of an age where my tolerance and eyesight are easily offended.
Nonetheless, I'm intrigued by how to parse the tag for the background image, as it doesn't look like a legitimate pathname to a graphics file. Does the background image actually appear as required?
