Where can i find javax.servlet.http.httpServletRequest in weblogic jars

Hi,
i'm migrating from weblogic 8 to weblogic 10.3.
in my java codes, i use import javax.servlet.http.httpServletRequest. Previously this package can in found in weblogic.jar in weblogic 8.
However weblogic.jar for 10.3 does not have this package. Where can i find this package?
Thanks

oh i see. the api.jar has the indicate the path to the servlet package.
/modules/javax.servlet_1.0.0.0-2-5.jar.
Thanks for the guidance.:)

  • Tomcat 5 cant find javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet

    Hi.
I dont know if this is a simple question or not, but i didnt find anything solving this problem and
    im new to tomcat......
Im trying to deploy my web application in my system. (Windows XP , j2sdk1.4.2_02, jakarta Tomcat 5, jakarta struts 1.1 and jakarta taglibs 1.1).No problems while compiling the .java classes and checked all the .jar files that my application needs to work (or that is what I think). I expand my .war file at /webapps on tomcat directory and startup Tomcat. Tomcat starts up but while starting I get the following errors...

it seems like C:\softProyecto\Tomcat5\conf\Catalina\localhost\admin.xml (C:\softproyecto\tomcat5 = tomcats home directory) needs javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet. And that comes from a Tomcat .jar file, i think.

"...The CLASSPATH is ignored by Tomcat, of course. AND javac. AND java. AND Eclipse. AND NetBeans. AND JBuilder. And just about everything else in the Java universe..."
What I mean by this, of course, is that each of these requires you to set the CLASSPATH in the way they expect. None of them even looks for a system environment variable named CLASSPATH. You can waste a lot of time thinking that your CLASSPATH is "all set", but it's not.
Tomcat assumes the following for your Web app's CLASSPATH:
    (0) The JDK rt.jar, of course,
    (1) All the JARs in TOMCAT_HOME/common/lib,
    (2) All the JARs in your WEB-INF/lib,
    (3) All the .class files in your WEB-INF/classes
That's it. (Maybe one or two others, but those are the important ones.)
Eclipse and NetBeans have their own way to set CLASSPATH for each project. You'll have to learn how for those IDEs.
The CLASSPATH is still vitally important. The system environment variable just isn't part of it. - MOD

The supported JBoss version for 10.1.2 is JBoss EAP 5.1.2 but I don't think that your issue is caused because of this. Your issue is more of an environmental thing as you are probably getting two different versions getting loaded of class javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest and so correspondingly two different Class objects as the error shows. One reason for this could be if you include any server-specific libraries (in present case the Servlet API JAR which contains the class javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest) of a different version in the /WEB-INF/lib of your web application. Try removing it from there if so and see if that helps.

    hi,
i like to find where is the application in the bea directory after installing using the weblogic 10.3 console?
Previously in weblogic 8, the file can be found in c:/bea/userprojects/domains/<domain_name>/applications/<my_web_application> after i deployed using the weblogic console
The file structure has been change for weblogic 10. Where can i find the files?
    Thanks

It depends in which modeu have deployed your applications:
If you will deploy your Application using nostage=”true” in the Above ANT script then It will be deployed on the Server in no Stage mode ...means the Actual Location of the Application will be used by the Server.
If you will deploy your Application using stage=”true” in the Above ANT script then It will be deployed on the Server in Stage mode ...means the the application will be staged inside the "<DOMAIN_HOME>\servers\<SERVER_NAME>\stage" directory.

  • Where can I find javax.wireless.messaging

    Hello,
I am trying to fellow the tutorial ( http://developers.sun.com/mobility/midp/articles/wma/ ) about sending SMS. I think I need a package called javax.wireless.messaging. Do you know where I can find this?

The JSR is the source of the original proposal
    [http://jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=120]
It is an API specification so you need the API and an actual implementation as well.
The above has a reference implementation. A "reference implementation" is intended to demonstrate that the API is sufficient. It isn't intended to be a production implementation and there might be problems with it.
Note that the API is not part of the Java API. Including 1.7
That above url via the "Final Release 2" suggests that Sun has a real implementation (alternative to the reference). Probably commercial. There might be other implementations as well.

  • Where can I find the final release of 2.5 Servlet specification?

The page Java Servlet Technology page (http://java.sun.com/products/servlet/index.jsp) includes a link as it reads to the "Final Release Of the Servlet 2.5 Specification", But it leads to a maintenance release version. In the maintenance release page where we were led it includes two links
1 If you want to read the specification for evaluation, or to build an application that uses the specification, click here.
2 If you intend to build an implementation of the specification, click here.
But these two links downloads the same specification, actualy a API specification
In the beginning of the page there is another link as "For the original Final Release of the Specification, please go to the original Final Release for JSR 154 page.". but this link leads to a link which downloads a 2.4 ; .pdf version specification and which includes a detailed description about Servlet technology.
1 Where can I find a detailed(like the .pdf version) 2.5 ; final release specification and a final 2.5 API specification release , or is there not one?
    Varuna

    Hi Varuna,
As you specified the page leads to "JSR 154: JavaTM Servlet 2.4 Specification" but you click the link Maintenance Release 2 under Final Stage Menu. It leads to the page Servlet 2.5 specification download Page.
