Where can i find protection cases for the old model of macbook air?

Hi!
I have an older macbook air, i think it's the 1st model of macbook air, it has a different shape than the current one. I would like to find a hard case for it, in a nice color, or I think you can find some that are like stickers you put on the computer.
But everything i see in the apple store or ebay or amazon fits the new models.
Does anyone know of a store online that has accessories for old models of macbook air?

I have an iLife 11 disc that doesn't work very well so I tried creating a disk image of it with Disk Utility. It took two tries but finally got a disk image that I could use to install the iLife 11 applications. Give it a try.

How much system RAM do you have? I bet if you upgraded your RAM you would not have the performance issues with 9.

I know the new MBP has nice cases to keep from scratching. I've searched everywhere and can't find a rubber case for the MBP duo 2 core, early 2008 model. Any suggestions. I checked Amazon and Ebay

Fits MacBook Pro (black keys/late-2008 and newer models; not compatible with Retina display models).

Where can I find a tutorial for the Canon Pixma MG6220

I am unable to make full use of the Canon Pixme MG6220 I purchased a few weeks ago. I am an 85 year old geezer and my old printer was pretty straight forward but had limited features whereas this Pixma 6220 is a great machine but I find it most intimidating to use some of its features and have had no luck in finding a tutorial online-------can anyone help me?????

I dont know how I did it: I have found the manual, but it's extremely confusing. I am 70, not quite as old as the questioner. I find this manual has too much content and I cannot find what I need (like almost every web page!).
We just bought the pixma MG6220 and have installed the driver on both our computers, and it's supposed to work wirelessly, and it does. Mine is a macbook air and we had to use the external drive to do the installation.
But when it came to scanning photos in order to add them to the digital ones, the scanner could only find my husband's PC, not my macbook. I understand that you cannot simultaneously use both computers to scan. Do I have to switch off the other computer to use mine? Or do I have to attach the laptop with a wire to the printer. My laptop is near the new printer, but the husband's PC and modem are further away - but they work. I have spent several hours trying to solve this, which should have a very simple answer, but can find nothing. I didn't understand 99 per cent of the content of the manual, which is very disempowering. Could it not "hide" the more obscure content and make it accessible via specific links. I do not want to plug in the external drive every time I want to use the scanner or printer (I lose the mouse function).
I also find it hard to navigate these community pages! What is tagging?

Where can I find a driver for the SM bus? It is not available thru HP support.

I have a Compaq Presario V5120NR notebook. My operating system crashed and was not recoverable. I ourchased a copy of Windows XP Home Edition and installed it. This is the same operating system that came on the notebook. I downloaded all drivers available thru HP support and installed them. The Device Manager still shows that I have no driver installed for the SM bus. The notebook works, but has a few "quirks", such as the screen saver comes on, but then goes off for no apparent reason. No major problems, just little annoying things like that. Any idea where I can get the driver for the SM bus would be greatly appreciated, :-)

You're very welcome.
Normally the SMBus controller with the chipset in your notebook is installed with the graphics driver.
I figured installing the generic AMD driver might contain the SMBus controller your notebook needs.
So, you can try that, or...
I have one other suggestion. Try this driver and see if it works. You have to manually install it.

Download and run the file. It will extract to C:\SWSetup\sp33927.
Go to the device manager and click on the SMBus controller needing drivers.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the manual search method and browse to the above folder.
Select the SMBUSati.inf file and see if it installs the smbus controller.
This driver is from a dc5750 desktop with an AMD chipset. Maybe that is a generic ATI controller used by a lot of PC's.

I broke my thick plastic case that I bought from the apple store three years ago when the 5th Generation came out....It is a clear plastic case that had a clip on it...I've searched all over the internet and was unable to find a case that is like the current case....I went to the apple store and they said I would have to search online or at the apple store for a case...I came up empty handed...I would appreciate an references anyone has....Thanks!

The iSee video cear ipod case that is mentioned i got from ebay. It was only 0.99 pence and it is perfect. It has a belt clip and stops your iPod from all those annoying scratches.

I have a late 2011 13 inch MacBook Pro. I recently upgraded it from the stock 500 gigabyte 5400 RPM hard drive to a 750 gigabyte 7200 RPM Seagate Momentus XT Solid State Hybrd drive. I need to use Tektronix's Spectrum Analyzer RSA 3308A as a LabView environment
instrument for my school project, I would like to know if there are available
drivers, if no drivers are available which are the implied software/software
requirements to achieve this goal.

NI doesn't have a driver and I couldn't find one on Tek's web site. That seemed kind of strange to me so you might want to contact Tek directly and see if they have something. If that comes up blank, you have several options. LabVIEW has the Instrument I/O Assistant (on the Instrument I/O palette), that will alllow you to create a series of writes and reads to an instrument and parse results. The assistant lacks flexibility but if your needs are fairly simple, it might be all you need. Of course, you'll need to be familiar with the instrument's command syntax. A step up the assistant is to use a series of VISA Read and Write commands. These would commands similar to what you would use with the assistant - tailored specifically for your application. You gain some flexibility because you can easily vary the command parameters with LabVIEW variables. At the top of the complexity ladder is developing a full blown instrument driver yourself. NI has some great tools to make this easier than it has ever been before. The guidelines and links to the tools can be found here. Lastly, you can request that NI develop a driver here. There is no guarantee the they will develop it as they base that decision on things like how many requests they get for a particular instrument.

Where can I find a replacement for the power adapter tip?

I need to replace the small adapter that allows the power adapter to be inserted into a socket. Does apple sell this part separately?
The adapter itself works fine. But the tip that gets inserted into the adapter, and then the wall, has started to make sparks. I'm afraid it's going to catch fire, or cause a fire. When plugged into the wall, I hear sparks and I see smoke coming out. If I adjust it's position by slightly withdrawing it from the wall socket, so that there is minimal contact, the sparks stop. But I am a little worried now that I can't leave my MacBook Pro retina plugged in without risk of fire. This started about a month ago after two years of use without any issues.
To be clear, I'm not talking about the adapter itself, but the tip that gets inserted into the adapter, and in turn allows the adapter to be inserted into a socket.
It seems wrong to shell out $80 for a whole new adapter when all I need to replace is the wall adapter.

You'd need to check the mfr's website; I doubt there is one as Macs do not support Blu-Ray. However, what you do need is software to either play a movie or burn one.
Correction: are you talking about an external hard drive?
Or are you referring to a CD/DVD drive?
Addendum: googled the model number - it is a burner, so you'll need software. There is Roxio Toast for one thing.
