Where can I find Quictime's Library?

In order to AVI video I need to put drag the Xvid codec into Library/Quicktime, but I can't find it. Do I have to have Quicktime Pro in order to see it?

Thanks. I can at least see the video now.

  • Where can i find my iphoto library?

    After recovering my hard disk (erasing everything because of performance issues) and reinstalling everything from Time Machine i can not find my iPhoto library anymore. I know it has to be somewhere because every single thing was copied correctly so i am also assuming iPhoto library would be copied correctly. However i can not find it in finder (it is not in the default location and i know it never was).
    Does somebody know where to look and how to find it?

    Launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and tell us how many libraries are listed in the following window:
    Is there one shown?  If not download and run Find Any File to search for a file with "ThumbJPGSegment" in the file name. There are files common to all versions of  iPhoto libraries with that as part of the file name..
    FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't like invisible folders, system folders and packages. If there's a library hiding somewhere on your hard drive FAF will find it.

  • On a Mac where can I find the Thunderbird library?

    I am trying to move my mailboxes to Apple Mail and I can't find the Thunderbird library. Where can I find the file?

    Mail is probably looking for the profile folder, or one of its subfolders, and the easiest way to find it is from Help (or AppMenu/Help)/Troubleshooting Information, click Show Folder to open it in Finder.

  • Where can I find a class/library to make my image?

    Hi, all:
    I've never worked with Images before, and I'm a little lost on where to start. I need to make a graphical display involving a parameter value for the image I'll be displaying. Imagine a range from 0-9, where given a value of 0, a thin circle is drawn, at 4 a fat tire, and at 9, a solid disk. That circle will be overlaying a square (I'm fine on the square, as its color is an easily settable HSB combo). That circle will also be in greyscale based on another range from 0-9. So, given something like
         public Image makingADisk () {
              int diskShape = a value from 0-9 I'm getting from an arrayList elsewhere
              int diskGreyScale = a value from 0-9 I'm getting from an arrayList elsewhere
              get the image that corresponds to the scaled value of diskShape
              get the color that corresponds to the scaled value of diskGreyScale
              return aDiskHavingTheseTwoProperties;
         }Where do I start? Is there a library out there that will draw circles/disks like this? I'm fine on getting the greyscale color, but how do I make the image that color? If you have suggestions for a different class instead of Image to use, I'd like to know that too.

    Get a graphics context for the image and simply call the setColor(..) and drawOval(..) methods.
    Example (for diskShape0):
    BufferedImage image = new BufferedImage(628,480, BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_RGB);
    Graphics2D g = (Graphics2D) image.getGraphics(); // cast is safe, see javadoc of Image
    // color
    int colorFactor = diskGreyScale * 200;
    g.setColor(new Color(colorFactor,colorFactor,colorFactor));
    // stroke
    BasicStroke stroke = new BasicStroke(1);
    g.setStroke(stroke);
    // draw
    g.drawOval(x, y, width, height);    Edited by: M.Stamm on Jul 18, 2008 12:46 AM -> Spelling error

  • Where can I find the iTunes library icon in OS 10.8.5?

    I have a new iMac and I'm trying to reset the number of plays in Itunes... very frustrated with google results apparently not up to date with the current operation system.

    Open iTunes, go to Music and from the Songs tab, select the song or songs > right-click (CTRL-click) > Reset Plays
    COMMAND+A will select all

  • On my MacBook with Lion Safari does start, does not react immediately after trying to open it. Installing a new Safari does not help. Removing parts of Safari in the Library did not help. Where can I find and remove all components (LastSession ...)?

    How can I reset Safari with all components? On my MacBook with Lion, Safari does not start, does not react immediately after trying to open it. Installing a new Safari does not help. Removing parts of Safari in the Library does not help. Where can I find and remove all components as LastSession and TopSites?

    The only way to reinstall Safari on a Mac running v10.7 Lion is to restore OS X using OS X Recovery
    Instead of restoring OS X in order to reinstall Safari, try troubleshooting extensions.
    From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
    If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
    If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
    Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect:  Allow plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
    If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.
    If it's not an extension or plug-in issue, delete the cache.
    Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
    Type or copy paste the following
    ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
    Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
    Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

  • Where can I find the music I just transferred from my Windows library to my mini? When I claick on the music icon, nothing shows up. Manual proves useless. :{

    Where can I find the music file I THINK I just downloaded from my Windows library to my ipad? Watched the progress unfold on my PC, but once is was completed,  when I click on the music icon on the mini desktop, it does not pull up the file. Manual proved usleess. :{

    I installed iTunes on my PC ( not a Mac )
    I connected my mini to my computer with cord
    I turned on my mini
    I opened iTunes on my desktop
    I clicked everywhere, but no prompts told me what to do this time!
    Sorry, but I can't remember how hubby originally managed to make popup appear on my computer screen that allowed me to transfer music from my hard drive/desktop to my mini.
    Calling the Apple store was fruitless....wading through interminable menu; put on hold; connecting to helper, then immediately being put on hold; finally disconnected.
    Just want to know the first step after all of the above and I can PROBABLY take it from there..........

    Once I backup my iPhone, where can I find the SMS data on my mac?
    The link Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/ doesn't seem to exist on my computer.
    My mac has OS X, version 10.6.8.
    Thanks.

    Here, let me explain the way you use the word "crap" in a sentence like this, especially when I'm asking for help from a total stranger such as yourself. It's rude, obviously I know now not to do something like download something like that to my computer. It's not the difficult to figure out, and obviously I'm suffering the consequences for it now. So are you planning on helping me? Or should I not reply to your next reply if it has the word "crap" in it? I'm sure this whole discussion board was created to be used in a professional way, which is how I would like to keep my responses.

    Hi,
    If you are using Solaris8 then international versions of Solaris8 has the CD labeled Solaris8 Languages. This CD contains required packages for Asian locale.
    I would recommend you to visit http://docs.sun.com for more information.
    In earlier versions, Asian CD contains all packages for Asian locale.
    Thanks,
    Santosh

    Hi brett242424,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
    The movie would be in your iTunes library, in the Movies application.  However, if the rental period has expired, you may need to contact the iTunes Store Support about your situation:

  • I want to run apple Hardware Test but can't find it on any CD's.  I bought my iMac in 2009.  I think it had 10.4 installed.  It's not on my installation disk.  Where can I find it?

    I want to run Apple Hardware Text but can't find it on any CD's.  I bought my iMac in 2009.  It came with 10.4.  Apple Hardware Test is not on the installation disk.  Should I have it?  Where can I find it?  I"m now running 10.7.4.

    The disc plainly state:
    To  use the AHT, hold down the D key as the computer starts up.
    Works here. However, there was an issue with installing Lion that screwed this process up.
    Mount disc 2, run this command in the Terminal app, OPTION-click & hold Finder's Dock icon, and select RELAUNCH:
    defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles 1
    That unhides all hidden files/folders.
    Now, drill down to /"Applications Install\ Disc"/System/Library/CoreServices/ and drag the .diagnostics folder into your Lion boot volume's /System/Library/CoreServices/ folder. That might require you to authenticate to copy the folder into the CoreServices subfolder.
    Run this command to hide the normally hidden files/folders and RELAUNCH the Finder again.
    defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles 0
    This should allow the machine to boot into AHT when restarting and holding down the D key.
    If that doesn't do the trick, run this command in the Terminal app:
    sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/CoreServices/.diagnostics
    At the Password: prompt, carefully type in your admin password, since nothing shows up on the screen, and hit the return key. Then, try another restart, holding down the D key.
