Where can I find the Oracle Home Directory

hi,
When i try to setup SALT g10R3, I will have to specifiy the oracle home directory. I have a global variable $ORACLE_HOME which contains this path : /produits/oracle/product/10.2.0 !
I try to validate but this message appears :

I see a similar error while installiing TSAM 10gR3. Please find the error below. I have Tuxedo 8.1 installed on a Linux base, where i am trying to also install TSAM 10gR3. But when i give the PATH/Location, where Tuxedo 8.1 is installed, it throws the following error. Can you please advise?

I m agree with u . Because In my Linux server There are 2 database . I have to use Automatic run script (use dbstart) for Database so that Datbase will be auto up during startup. My default oracle Home for Oracle user is "/ORACLE" and also mention it i Oracle ".bash_profile" .
I give the entry into "/etc/oratab " Like following :
vi /etc/oratab
test1::/oracle:Y
test2::/oracle:Y
But One database (test1) is up during startup the server but another (test2) is not . I dont understand the problem .... can anybody give me some suggestion ?
In this pint , If Oracle Home is the problem then How can I find the Oracle Home regarding these two databases ?

Where can I find the Oracle Clusterware 11.1.0.7 for Linux x86

Hello,
I am testing upgrading Oracle 11g RAC from 11.1.0.6 to 11.1.0.7 on Linu x86 (RedHat 5.3/OEL 5.3)
I haven't been able to find the Oracle Clusterware 11.1.0.7 for Linux x86 download, which is required for the RAC upgrade.
Could someone tell me the patch/patchset number or how can I search for it in metalink?

Where can I find the cluster home in 9i RAC like CRS_HOME in 10g

I am trying to find out the cluster home for executing command srvctl,crs_stat in oracle 9i RAC . I dont find find cluster home folder on sun solaris.

Do we need VIP for 9i RAC with Veritas Cluster ?Oracle doesn't need it, but VCS may.
How is failover to another node work compare to load balancing? Try the Oracle Documentation at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/network.102/b14212/toc.htm and just search for Load Balancing and TAF, if has lot of information on those concepts, with examples.

There is no OBE on Discoverer Administrator, which is under iDS. However you can see the 9.0.4 OBEs on Discoverer Plus and Viewer from this link http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe_as_10g/bi/index.html.

Where can I find the Oracle Wallet Manager?

I'm trying to configure an MQSeries Adapter for SSL however being fairly new the 'Wallet' concept as well as SSL configuration I'm having a hard time finding it. I don't see any option in my WinXP start menu. I ran a search for 'owm' in my local and found the 'owm-3_0.jar' file. When I try to run it via java -jar I get a main class not found.
Is there an alternative to run this manager? Can I download it somewhere? Is there a cmd-based tool I can use instead to add certificates to my wallet (cwallet.sso)?

The only resource I have is this website and the only binaries seem to be for Linux OS.
Does anybody know how I can upgrade my Oracle 11.1.0.7 version to the R2 release?

Where can I find the deployed ejb files, stubs and skels in the Oracle 10g (904)
When I try to run my ejb application I m getting following exception:
com.evermind.server.rmi.OrionRemoteException: Error (de-)serializing object: org.apache.log4j.Logger
I am not sure what is causing this error. I am not using any logging in my EJB. But the logging framework is configured in the application server.

I am not creating Connection from EJB. I have a POJO called DBManager that looks for the DB Connection and return that to either EJB or other POJO that requests for Connection.
I am having a private method that get the connection from the DBManager because while writing UnitTest cases I can mockup getting Connection as my Unit test case will be a POJO again..
I have a question here regarding making DBManager as Singleton class. In my current project, I have configured my database in the application server as getting the connection by lookup for datasource through JNDI. It internally maintains all logical connection and always have one physical connection. In such scenario how implementing singleton will be beneficial?
