Where can I get a free microsoft office for MAC?

Hi,
I had microsoft office installed on my macbook pro but my hdd died and I cannot find the disk for it and the key. Wondering of it is possible get microsoft office for free.

No, not possible.  It is a commercial program and you have to buy it.
You may be able to recover your key - see http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/support/how-do-i-recover-or-replace-a-lost-mic rosoft-office-product-key-HA104172018.aspx but I don't know about getting replacement media from MS (you can always ask them).
You could check out the free options - OpenOffice or LibreOffice for OS X and see if they'd work for you instead though.

My mac came without idvd loaded. Where can i get a free download for it?

There are none. You need to install it from the computer's original disks(phone AppleCare if you don't have those), or a retail iLife 09 or earlier DVD(iLife 11 requires at least 10.6.3), which are available from sources such as Amazon or eBay.

  • Where can I get a replacement plastic screen for mac

I scratched my screen, how can I get a replacement? it is the black and aluminium, the plastic front is magnetic so seems that it could be replaced.

Just so you know, I believe the front display uses glass, not plastic, from what I've read in these Forums.
    Hope this helps

it's shareware... you can use it for free - but before you pay the shareware fee, you'll have to wait (30sec?) at the splash screen after you start it up.... cheers

  • I upgraded my Mac from OSX 10.5.8 to Snow Leopard and then to Mountain Lion 10.8.2.  I did have Microsoft Office for Mac 2004 in my applications and now get a message "can't open Office because Power PC applications are no longer supported."

I just upgraded my MAC from OSX 10.5.8 to Snow Leopard and then to Mountain Lion 10.8.2.  When I try to access my Microsoft Office for MAC (2004 edition) files I am getting a message "can't open Office because Power PC applications are no longer supported.  How can I access all of my save Word documents?  I just want to be able to retrieve all of my documents that were in Microsoft Office for Mac (2004).  If I purchase the newest version of MS office for Mac from Apple will I be able to retrieve my old documents?

Use any number of free alternatives to your nearly decade old version of MS Office.
    Consider
    LibreOffice (donation-supported)
    NeoOffice (free)
    OpenOffice (free)
In addition to the above I also recommend Apple's Pages ($19.99). I use OpenOffice and Pages and have been completely Microsoft - free for years. Life is better without Microsoft.

  • Where can I download a single license for Microsoft Office for Mac?

Where can I download a single license for Microsoft Office for Mac?  On microsoft.org you have to buy 3 licenses for $150.  I just want to download the home and student suite for my own computer.  Thanks.

eBay also sell those license, or u can purchase them straight off microsoft after installing micrsoft office. But there are free MS Office alternative like Libreoffice mentioned.
But my favourite one is OpenOffice... it supports 64 bits and its open source which means there are free upgrades and extensions availble to download for specific need.

  • Where can I get a free download of saplicense.exe?

Where can I get a free download of saplicense.exe?
saplicense is the SAP tool, that is mostly used for installing a new SAP license. This tool is command line based. In the easiest way, you just issue the following command:
    saplicense -install
Then you are asked for the SID, the installation number, the license key etc.
The SAP License can be ordered online in the SAP Service Marketplace at:
    http://service.sap.com/licensekey

    Thanks Mark, for the hint!
I too was missing saplicense.exe from my ABAP trial install.
Eventually, I found it in the zip file "51032266_3",
    "NW 2004s SR2 Kernel 7.00 Windows Server on IA32 32bit".
    (SAP Support Portal download)
    unzip 51032266_3.zip
    cd NW_2004s_SR2_Kernel_WINDOWS__LNX_X86
    cd KN_WINDOWS_I386
    cd DBINDEP
    d:\sap\NSP\sys\exe\run\sapcar.exe -xf SAPEXE.SAR saplicense.exe

where can I download a digital Microsoft Office Mac 2011 for macbook air. I have a key product at hand.

While they certainly don't make it clear, if you actually select the link on CNET, it's only an update file (Office2011-1434UpdateEN.dmg) which is listed on Microsoft's site:
    http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads?pid=Mactopia_Office2011&fid=ECF3967A-2593 -4E94-8670-CE555E20047F
They used to allow for a trial download, but I haven't been able to track that down in a while.  If the original poster has their key, it can be downloaded directly from Microsoft here:

Contact Microsoft support and ask for help.  You've paid for the kit, so installation-time support is part of the expectations.  They'll probably suggest a Repair Permissions and a Verify Disk pass, both performed by booting the installation DVD and using Disk Utility from the Utilities menu item, and selecting those two repairs.

Or you could just wipe out Lion and restalled Snow Leopard. Then when you are in the market for a new computer, desktop of notebook, buy something other then Apple.
why would you say things like that here? if you are a windows one then stay there. but you are not polite or helpful and if can't use Apple i wonder why you would come here to tell all about your sad story. I don't understand that it has nothing to do with question asked.
I own, or should I say have owned, several Apple products. Including a new MBP.
    I also use Windows.
I will say anything I like in an effort to help people overcome problems they are having with Mac's and computers in general.
Being a Apple Fanboy is not required for membership on this forum or trying to help other Mac users.
And just how is suggesting to remove Lion and to go back to Snow Leopard not helping the OP in his quest to make his already owned and paid for MS Office software work? If it is isn't broken stop trying to fix it. Snow Leopard is a fine OS. Lion is still in Beta, only Apple hasn't told anyone. And yes I run Lion on my new MBP but I also have a partition with Snow Leopard on it.
Thank you and have a great day.

  • TS1388 I'm trying to install Microsoft Office for Mac 2011. Halfway through the installation process, the MacBook Air tells me that I must quit Safari before the installation can continue. As far as I can tell, Safari is closed but I still get the same me

I'm trying to install Microsoft Office for Mac 2011. Halfway through the installation, the MacBook Air tells me that I must close Safari for the installation to continue. As far as I can tell, Safari IS closed. I can't discover any process that will close it any more than it is now. Installer won't let me shut down or re-start the computer because it (Installer) is still running.
    What am I missing?

The MS installer seems to think Safari is active so try the following...
Right-click on the Safari icon in the Dock and if applicable, select Quit.
    or
Try Utilities > Activity Monitor and look for Safari in the Process Name column.  If present, highlight Safari and then click the Quit Process icon.

  • How can I download the latest Microsoft Office for my Macbook Air through the App Store?

How can I download the latest Microsoft Office for my Macbook Air through the App Store?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Microsoft Office is not available in the App Store. Instead, you can purchase it in the Microsoft site > http://www.microsoft.com/mac
Note that there are other apps that do the same, like Apple iWork (available in the Mac App Store) or LibreOffice, open-source and free. I recommend you to give LibreOffice a try.
If you are interested in Office for Windows, you can find it in the Microsoft Store or at shops
