Where can I get Adobe Acrobat NPAPI Plug-in?

"Firefox support is a relatively recent addition to Adobe Reader, since version 10.1.4. When I go to Firefox, select Tools->Add-ons->Plugins, this plugin is not there. So, where can I get it?

Can't Update Adobe Acrobat NPAPI Plug-in?

...Pretty much exactly like the title says. I checked the plugin checker after updating to Firefox 30 to see if there was anything that needed updating. Of course, there was: Shockwave and "Adobe Acrobat NPAPI Plug-in".
While I was able to get Shockwave up to date just fine, the Adobe Acrobat NPAPI Plug-in is presenting some trouble. As in, when I click "Update Now", instead of redirecting to an update page, it redirects right back to the Plugin Check page.
Where can I go to update this plugin? Does it need to be updated? Is this a glitch in the checker, and therefore I don't need to do anything?

Okay, I tried what you suggested....and my program/product (Adobe Reader) said that no updates were available.

But we can no longer get this plugin to work! Is there a later version ? or is there another way of forcing the pdf to open in a Acrobat Reader application (not the Mac viewer) within the browser and not open another window to display the pdf in Acrobat?

The latest version is 11.0.6. Whether that's available to you depends on the version of Mac OS you're running.

i don't think standard is available via adobe or its affiliate prodesigntools.com
pro is available here: http://prodesigntools.com/all-adobe-cs5-direct-download-links.html
but i don't think your serial number will activate that to standard.
if you got acrobat 9 standard from a computer vendor, they usually have acrobat 9 standard available as a download.

Acrobat Distiller is a program that is used to convert postscript files into pdf files. Acrobat Distiller used to be the only way to create postscript files. A particular PDF file can have fonts embedded within it, or may refer to fonts installed in the operating system - but in either case it uses the Postscript name of the font, not the common name seen on menus. This ensures that when fonts are substituted or edits are made to the PDF file, the correct version and vendor are matched, not just the common name. Postscript names are unique, and often end with the initials of the vendor (LT = Linotype, MT = Monotype, etc.). "Times" on a font menu refers to the Linotype font "Times-Roman" (sold by Adobe and others), and "Times New Roman" refers to the Monotype font usually named "TimesNewRomanPSMT" (a Postscript font in a TrueType package, which is part of the standard set on Windows). They look the same from a distance, but internally they are different enough that a direct replacement is not normally possible. If you ever need to work out which has been used and cannot inspect the metadata, look very closely at the number "5" - in the Linotype font it has a tiny serif on the top right corner. Embedding a font into a file has no effect on Acrobat whatsoever (lisabritne, what you're saying makes no sense).
