Hi,
Where can I get more information on bug fixes that are listed in the release notes of each version? For instance, I am interested in each of the following ones.
GRANITE-1215 - Workflow Monitoring via JMX
CRX-4167 - Improved handling for backup procedure on ""listDir = /""
GRANITE-877 - Fixed ""Too many open files"" issue in monitoring
GRANITE-741 - Replication can handle missing content in the activation queue
GRANITE-1090 - Configure exclusion of publish instances for activation status updates
CRX-2943 - Cluster: Enable audit log on workspaces
Apart from the one line descriptions, I need more detailed info like what was the issue or why it occurs and how was it fixed, looking for something similar to a KB article.

Certification test for OS X 10.7 Lion are not available yet. I assume they will be nearly identical to the test of 10.5 and 10.6. Hopefully, the reason the certification website has been down for a while is that they are updating it with the new information. Though I really wouldn't expect any 10.7 certification test to be available for 2-4 months. Peachpit Press didn't publish their training material for 10.6 until October even though 10.6 was released in August.
As far as the 10.6 Certifications:
Certified Support Professional, 10.6 requires the 9L0-403 exam.
Certified Technical Coordinator, 10.6 requires the 9L0-403 as well as the 9L0-510 (Server Essentials) exams.
The information for the Certified System Administrator, 10.6 is "hidden" on the integral7 website but according to this Wikipedia entry, you need to pass the 9L0-510 Server Essentials exam as well as these three:
Directory Services
Deployment
Security and Mobility

Where can I get detailed documentation on the 'IVA' vision vi's created by NI Vision Assistant

I use the NI Vision Assistant a lot. Usually I ask it to create a vi automatically from the script. However, the resulting vi contains several 'IVA' vi's that are completely undocumented (from what I can see).
Where can I get more info on these? Examples of these are IVA Grayfilters - Nth order.vi and IVA Store Particles Results.vi (two of many such vi's) . They look like very useful and interesting functions but what exactly they do I can only guess.
Any ideas where I can get information on these functions.

I really appreciate your offer to help, however, it would probably be better for me in the long run if I could get this info from the official help on these functions?
But as an example, currently I am wondering what does IVA store particle results.vi do? It is called after IMAQ particle analysis.vi but just seems to be wasting precious processor resources. When do I need to include this (as is done by default by vision assistant) and when can I cut it out? It must have some purpose but who knows what this might be?

you can buy new online in the Adobe store or try to find a usefull version like MX2004 or 11.5 on ebay or similar recources.
if you can get an upgradeable version at a cheap recource it will be better to upgrade to 11.5 as to buy the full version 11.5.

Can't get detailed info in App Store

I can no longer get into the application page in App Store. When I search, plenty of applications come up and I can purchase from this screen but I can't tap on the application and get further info. Any thoughts?

Have you tried the basic troubleshooting steps?
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. Where can i get details about sun.nio.ch.SocketChannelImpl?

What it does is what it is specified to do in java.nio.channels and java.nio.channels.spi as an implementation of java.nio.channels.SocketChannel. You don't need to know any more than that.

Where can I get detailed maps of Japan/Kyoto

I am traveling to Japan/Kyoto/Osaka next week. I downloaded the Japan map but the file is only a few MB in size and there is almost no detail. In contrast the maps for China are huge and very detailed.
Is there an alternative site that I can get a map for Japan from?
I'm using Map Loader version 3.0

You really should have a look at the list of options that wscompile offers. You can find them in YOUR_JWSDP_1.2_HOME/jaxrpc/docs/jaxrpc-tools.html or just attempting to run it with no options.
Note the feature 'documentliteral' used like this -f:documentliteral. This will generate a document style set of stubs. If you don't understand the difference between RPC and document style web services you should probably do some google "research". A good document to get lots of low level web services info is http://www.ws-i.org/Profiles/Basic/2003-08/BasicProfile-1.0a.html.

Where can I get detailed information on using new 2.2 features/upgrades?

For example, the new Return to Home feature in Safari. I don't get this one at all. Pushing the Home button while browsing in Safari takes me to the regular Home (menu) page like it always did. Since I can't find any instructions or detailed information for this feature I don't have a clue as to what I'm supposed to do/see. One would think that every new feature/upgrade in version 2.2 would be adequately explained somewhere. ??

I guess I should explain it better. I know that if I'm in a app and hit the Home button it will take me make to the Main Menu screen. What's happening is that if I on, say, page 3 of a website and hit the Home button, it takes me all the way back to the Main Menu screen. I expected, based on what I've read about this new feature, that if I was a page 3 of a website and hit the Home button that it would take me to the first page of the website. I'm just really confused about this new feature as it doesn't seem to do anything that I'm noticing.
