Where can I get ITunes 8?

Apparantly I need ITunes 8 installed before I can try to install ITunes 9 on my W2003. I can find lots of obscure versions using Google, but are there an official download from Apple somewhere?

I'd like Apple to answer that one too!
Simply put: The Installer doesn't support W2003 and more seriously the ITunes 9 IPodService doesn't work with W2003 either. I need the IPodService from ITunes 8.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

As far as I know iTunes gift cards aren't yet available in India, and they are also country-specific (they can only be used in their country of issue) so you won't be able to use those from other countries.

I have the same "analyzing gapless information" freeze that has been described in the forum. I searched and searched but alas, to no avail. No solution has apparently been posted. I have enabled the crossfade option, which is supposed to stop the gapless thing, but whenever I import an album, it starts again, and freezes...so I'm really fed up. I have a barbecue starting in about two hours, and I'd been bragging about how great apple is and how wonderful and simple it is to stream music to the stereo by using airtunes...so I guess my simpler option ir to downgrade (nasty words!) to iTunes 6.5, only I can´t find it!. A lot of burning problems with ITunes 6.. Where Can I Get ITunes 4 back?

Few weeks ago I've installed ITunes 6 on my new pc.
At this point of time I could burn CDs, but the soundcheck didn't work. I've inserted a blanc disc and selected the playlist. But then the Burn- Button didn't get yellow. So I clicked on it and the CD was directly burned without aligning the volumes of the songs..
The second problem occured today. I've reinstalled iTunes 6 and now the message 'disc recorder not found' appears each time, when I wanna burn a disc.
What does It Mean?
Is It possible to switch back to iTunes 4. There I hadn't any problems..

I have a power pc g4 mdd 2.4ghz dual.
completely broke due to car accident, so no technology upgrade until2014.
the machine crashed a few months ago and ever since I have not been able to connect to itunes store. I get an unknown error 11333 even though I have a functioning internet connection.
It appears that itunes 7.4 won't run on an old non-intel machine.

itunes 7 is causing more problems than its worth and I really really really want to roll back a release.

The problem that itunes 7 has caused is that it has quarupled the resolution of the iPOD movie export from Final Cut. On the face of it this is good news, the proelm though is that the half hour programs I make are now 400Mb large, and are therefore unusable.
So I need to roll back iTunes and Final Cut to whatever the original presets were in Final Cut soi I end up with half hour video podcasts being a realistic 160 to 180Mb.
Until we all have ADSL2Plus, of course, in which case I'll upgrade to higher resolutions.
Fo rthe first time on 20+ years of using Apple products, they have caused me a major major problem.

Click your Apple menu > Software Update
Or update using the this download > Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo

Where can I get old version itunes

Where can I get an older version of itunes for imac. A newer version seems to have disabled the old version and the library (is now created by a newer version" so I can't access the music via itunes at all. I have gone into HD/Library/Receipts and removed anything that has itunes in the title of a pkg as suggested in a previous discussion. I just want to get back to the old version!

I agree and it wassn't even me that updated! Perhaps apple should warn you that the update will seriously ruin your enjoyment if you click yes!
I was wondering if there was some way I could copy them to the ipad but the operating systems are so far apart that they don't seem to want to work together either. My ipad is not recognised as an ipad, but a camera. bluetooth will find the ipad but ipad won't find the imac!
There has just got to be some workaround.

Only the current version of each app is available for download from the store, so for iBooks there is only the version that requires iOS 5+
There are other apps in the store which support PDFs, though I don't how many work on iOS 4.1 - 'PDF Manager Free' appears to be one, and the Stanza app also says that it supports PDFs
