I've recently purchased iMac and just found out that I need to download Java SE 6 to run some programs that requires it. I don't have an internet access at home so, I need a direct download of Java SE 6 for Mac OS X Lion 10.8.2 and donwload it on my laptop instead. I'm new to this so I don't know any deeper about Java SE.

If there is no iDVD on Your Mac (and it's not on newer Macs as Apple discarded it) then You need a program that can do this.
Your Mac can burn CDs and DVDs - BUT DVD as Data-DVDs not as Video-DVDs - they need a program to be encoded and STRUCTURED as such.
• iDVD is part of the boxed version of iLife'11 and can only be bought outside Apple as on Amazon and e-bay
• DVD Studio pro - Part of FinalCut Studio Pro bundle - this to has expired and can only be bought second handed. (High price and tough learning Curve - but best ever done.)
• Roxio Toast™ - Not as elegant as iDVD - but has many other positive additions (I like it as 10-Pro incl BD-component) (now version 11)
• Burn - a free alternative I know of on internet. Very simple - Just for doing a plain Video-DVD

There is no download for any install of Final Cut Pro before version X.
For physical media, try contacting Apple Care support. Otherwise, ebay or alternative resellers is your only recourse for acquiring install discs.

edit: If you want Final Cut Pro 3, you'll need a PowerPC computer that can run OS9. If you mean Final Cut Studio 3 (aka FCS 2009) you'll have better luck finding something out there that will run on contemporary machinery.

I need to install Photoshop CS4 on my Mac Mini running Yosemite 10.10.1 but it requires Java Runtime, where can I download this software, better still is there another as good as photoshop software that does not require Java, anyone in the community have any ideas.

I upgraded to Maverick when it came out. Unfortunately, I did not have a backup of the disk with Mountain lion on it. The laptop came with mountain lion preloaded. How can I get another copy?

If your Mac came new with Mt Lion Pre-Installed it will always be available to you.
You have to boot the computer to the Online Internet recovery system by holding down the Command + Option/Alt + r key at startup and hold them down until you see a globe on the screen. That willl boot the computer from the Apple servers from across the internet. Once that fully loads you can use Disk Utility to repartition the drive as one partition to remove all traces of Mavericks and then use the other option, once you exit disk utility, to Reinstall Mac OS X and Mt Lion will be downloaed from the internet.
You can also use that same system, once Mt Lion is reinstalled on your hard drive, to save a copy of the download and make your own Mt Lion reinstall DVD or Thumb drive. Google search for make your own Lion, Mt Lion reiinstall thumb drive for directions.

There's not a native OS X ASDM application.
You have to use the Java version that's built into the binary image that loads onto your ASA. That's available here (requires a support contract for at least one ASA be associated with your cisco.com userid) if you don't already have it. Once that's setup on your ASA, browse to the ASA address authorized for http(s) acess with the /admin string after the address. i.e.:

PI 7.11 - Where can I get the NEW java API's

We use PI 7.0 in productive environment, but we plan a release update to PI 7.11. We have several Java Mappings for PI 7.0 with Java 1.4. So we have to upgrade this also to Java 1.5.
We are using following SAP Java libs:
- aii_map_api.jar
- aii_mt_rt.jar
- guidgenerator.jar
- sapxmltoolkit.jar
Where can we get the equivalent libraries of the PI 7.11 system. Are there new API's? Is there a documentation where to get this?

OK, I understand that new versions make use of facilities that come with new versions of IOS, but there is/was a version that runs on 3.1.3 and therefore, I assume 4.2.1. Where can I get the (old) version that runs on my IOS?

This is standard for Apple. While there is little official mention of the software support lifespan for equipment, typical support has been about 4-5 years for computers. It strikes me that newer items, especially mobile devices, are not built as sturdily nor do they have the hardware upgrade capabilities required to keep up with newer systems. When we bought an iPhone 4S we were told by the person in the store we'd probably be looking at a newer model in two years. The iPhone 3G could be anywhere from 2 to 4 years old, putting it well into.
As for app availability, Apple typically pulls old software versions from its site when new versions appear. If it is a non-Apple app then I guess it is up to the vendor. It is indeed tiresome but it is not at all unusual. Since I only ever run used Macs, I download current versions even though my computer won't run them, stick them on a hard drive, then I have them when I upgrade to a newer used computer. If you run older equipment you have to learn a different mode of operation to exist with the Apple 'new and innovative' but 'forget about the old' philosophy.

Safari for Windows was discontinued a couple years ago. By now it's outdated, not standards compliant, etc.. There's no reason why you should use it.

Actually, you are out of luck if you are looking for Acrobat Standard. I have run into a problem because the link is for Adobe 9.0 Pro and the serial no. for Std. won't work. I asked Adobe customer (chat) service for a downloadable of the Standard and they said they don't have one. Did you get the Std. version as part of the preinstalled software on your computer? If so, it would be on the recovery media of your old laptop but I don't know how you would retrieve it from there. I am in the exact same boat as you are. Let me know if you find out how to get the media for the Standard by responding on this thread. Thanks.
