Where can I get Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
I want to use/install Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).Could you please tell me where can I get this?
Thanks. I am going to use OEM.it requires tns enty.
abcd =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 11.8.7.18)(PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVICE_NAME = efgh)
i suppose SERVICE_NAME means database name. My SQL *PLUS is working without any tns entry. So please tell me how I can get database name that is SERVICE_NAME and the very first line of the tns entry that is "abcd" in the above example.

Where can I download Oracle Enterprise Manager for 9i?
Where are the Oracle 9i files? I need to download OEM for 9i.
ThanksWhat if I don't have those CDs? I know that I was able to download it before.Same place - http://otn.oracle.com, select 'download', and scroll to the bottom of the screen to 'Archived Products'
Do it quick - 9i is in extended support next week and, traditionally, products in extended support have been no longer downloadable. -

Where can I get Oracle 8i 8.1.5 for Linux (RH 6.0) On CD?
I'm stuck in a 28.8 baud neighborhood. Most of my connections
are 14.4 but at night - sometimes - I can get 28.8. There is no
Cable Modem support (Not available), not DSL (maybe by Q1 2999),
and ISDN is foolishly priced ($1800.00 to start and $300.00 per
month.) I have a smalll 100/T Base network with Win95, WinNT
4.0 (Server and Client) and Red Hat 6.0 Linux. I'd really like
to get Oracle 8i 8.1.5 Server for the Linux box and access it
via my NT Client. But, as I mentioned above, downloading is
very impracticle. It would take +100 hours and we have
power/phone outages almost every day. Where can I get this
stuff on a CD?
Thanks

nullOn the oracle store (oraclestore.oracle.com->database->media)
you can order a trial copy for $40 ($39.95). Allow me to ask you
where do you live? I wouldn't like to move into your
neighbourhood.

Where can I get Oracle database server 9i for windows 2003
Hi,
I need Oracle Database Server 9i for Windows 2003. From Oracle online download, there is one a patch set available. Where can I get the full version?
Thanks
LauraHi, I found the solution. There is no software to direcly install Oracle 9i on Windows 2003. I need to install the software for NT/2000 first, the patch it.
That's why there is only patchset for 2003 for downloading. See the doc below:
three installation components required to install
Oracle9i Database release 2 (9.2.0.3.0) on Windows Server 2003. These three
installation components must be installed in the order listed. If you are
migrating a pre-existing Oracle9i database to Windows Server 2003, first
upgrade the database to the Oracle9i Database release 2 (9.2.0.3.0) patch set
before upgrading the operating system.
Obtain the following installation components:
Oracle9i Database Release 2 (9.2.0.1.0) for Windows
Oracle Universal Installer release 2.2.0.18.0 for Windows
Oracle9i Database Release 2 (9.2.0.3.0) Patch Set for Windows -

I tried oracle site, It only give me the base version of it 10.2.0.1.As others have notes - 10.2.0.5 could mean the future database & client patch set from Oracle Support, or the current Grid Control patch set from http://download.oracle.com
Assuming you mean the database client, 10.2.0.3 and 10.2.0.4 are currently available. If they are not available in base form for your platform, then you take the highest one that IS available and download and apply the related patches.

In which case you want to discuss about the Oracle Support contract that your client currently is using.
This is urgent!
Apparently not. If it was, you would ask in the correct place - Oracle Support.
You are asking in a forum of volunteers. There can, by definition, be nothing urgent in these discussions because you are not guaranteed an answer, never mind a timely answer. Even then the answer is not guaranteed to be correct. Especially since virtually none of the answers officially comes from Oracle. -
Where can i get Oracle JDeveloper 9i Handbook exercise source code?
Hi
I'm studying JDeveloper 10g by read the book <<Oracle JDeveloper 9i Handbook >> which written by Peter Koletzke,Paul Dorsey and Avrom Faderman, Where can i get exercise source code? In chapter 13,I can't create the application module AccountantPromotionModule, who can help me or some idea?
thank you
li xinzhu
2004.9.2Hi,
You can download source code for the 9i Handbook from either of the following websites:
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Peter_Koletzke
http://www.dulcian.com
Note that, if you're using Oracle JDeveloper 10g (rather than Oracle9i JDeveloper), you might be interested in the just-published Oracle JDeveloper 10g Handbook. Oracle JDeveloper 10g has some very significant differences from Oracle9i JDeveloper--especially the introduction of Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF)--and these are covered in the new book but not the old one.
If you do get the new book, you can download code for it (or rather, will be able to by the end of this week) from either of the above websites or from
http://avromroyfaderman.com
Hope this helps,
Avrom -
Where can I get oracle dead lock information
Hi Experts,
two days back I find oracle dead lock information at SM21 log file but when I checked today the old data was over written by new data.
Where can I find oracle dead lock information other than SM21? can anyone please help
Thanks in advance
Regards
Veera
Edited by: Veerab on Apr 27, 2011 8:22 AMHi,
Have you refered [SAP Note 84348 - Oracle deadlocks, ORA-00060 |https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/84348]? It contains good detailed description about possible oracle deadlock situations and analysis.
Along with the trace file generated by oracle (at directory /oracle/<SID>/saptrace/usertrace/), You can get historical information from alert<SID>.log file located at /oracle/<SID>/saptrace/background/.
In alert<SID>.log file the deadlock situation is written with deadlock graph at the time of occurances.

Can't start Oracle Enterprise Manager
Hi
We installed Oracle Database 10g on Sun Solaris SPARC 64 bit.
I am trying to access Oracle Enterprise manager but cannot.
I tried to start the dbconsole but got the following error:
/external1/oracle/testdb/9.2.0/bin
./emctl start dbconsole
result was :./emctl: No such file or directory
Can you please help me solve this problem?
Regards
Quintusbash-3.00$ export
ORACLE_HOME=external1/oracle/testdb/9.2.0/
bash-3.00$ export ORACLE_SID=TEST
bash-3.00$ emctl status dbconsole
bash: emctl: command not found
I seriously doubt you ever read my previous post.
You can try the commands a thousand times on your 9i installation, it's not going to work period. -

No, you can't, and again, 10.8.0 will not boot a late 2012 iMac even if you can find a copy. Only 10.8.2 has the necessary drivers for that hardware. -

Where can I get Oracle 7.3 Enterprise Edition for trial?
My potential employer is using Oracle 7.3. I am 8i DBA but never use 7.3. So I hope I can get the software to learn.
If you are familiar with 8i then you don't need a 7.3.
Only forget all about:
- java
- rebuilding indexes online
- Intermedia
- bugs
- locally managed tablespaces

Can't start Oracle Enterprise Manager Application Server Control:
I've install AS 10g 10.1.2 on x64 Win XP64 with the option of just Oracle J2EE and web services.
Everything installed fine but when I try to connect to the Enterprise manger server control I get :
IOException in sending Request :: Connection refused: connect
Reading the trouble shooting guide I see that maybe the Apache variable max connections needs upping. Mine was set to 150 and I upped it to 200 (and restarted)
still not joy.
can anyone help?According to metalink certification there is an issue with Win XP 64 bit for OAS 10.1.2.0.2 which is that
Only Installation Types Supported is J2EE OracleAS Developer Kit
Maybe you could consider OAS version 10.1.3.x ?
