I expect it would install and run, but Photoshop became resource hungry with CS4, and I suspect that a typical i3 system is not going to have heaps of RAM, so it won't run very well. What is the operating system? I'm guessing it is 32bit

Can't install photoshop cs5 on Windows 7 laptop
Hello, I was attempting to install Photoshop cs5 on my Windows 7 laptop and every time I attempt to install it, the installer stops and pulls up a message saying, "Installer failed to initialize." so I've tried turning off UAC, running as administrator, using the hidden admin feature, and turning off all services, all to no avail. There are no errors in the installer logs at all, nor are there any failures. I require assistance.

Where can I download Photoshop CS5.1 Extended Edition?
Platform: Mac
OS: OSX 10.9.4
I have Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CS5.1 Extended editions on my desktop. I purchased these in December 2011, the serial numbers for them show up on my Adobe account when I login and look at my products.
I wanted to install these on my new laptop - so I went to 'Downloads' - Older products, and can only find CS5 for each, not CS5.1
So I downloaded CS5 versions instead, and installed them. These activated successfully using my serial numbers. Then I tried to update them. The only updates available are 12.04 for Photoshop (CS5.1 is version 12.1), and also, the updates wouldn't download?

and activate with your serial number.
if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version. -
Can't Install Photoshop CS5 Extended
Hi,
Just purchased a legit DVD copy of Photoshop CS5 Extended, and I am trying to install it on my Windows 7 Professional 64Bit machine. After, I attempt to run Set-up.exe, the Adobe Installer comes up. However, after a couple of minutes I get the following error message:
We've encountered the following issues:
Installer failed to initialize. File not found. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem.
There is a link to "Get Adobe Support Advisor", but it seems like this tool is no longer available.
Can anybody please help me get up and running.

DavidIf I download this, what will my serial number be? The guy who sold it to me just said I had to run the Activation.exe program off the DVD once installation was complete. Is it the 28 number sequence on the back of the DVD box?

i just bought the new retina display MacBook Pro. I uninstalled CS5 from my old laptop. I have the original instalation CDs but the new laptop doesn't have a CD rom.

Where can i download Photoshop CS5
I know photoshop CS 6 is out. But my company doesn't have CS6,
It has CS5 but they lost the disks or never had any or something, Maybe they used the downloads when they where available, But they have serials for CS5 and I can't buy CS6 !
I've been looking all over the place for a legal download of CS5 so i can use it.
Does anyone know where I can get one ?

However. When i downloaded the photoshop_12_LS1.exe file and try to start is I get an error saying
"The file archive part of Adobe Photoshop CS5 is missing, You need all parts in the same folder in order to extract Adobe Photoshop CS5. Please download all parts "
But this file from the prodesigner site is only 1.2 MB in size. the full download never starts. _ I've read this http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/start-installer-downloading.html but nothing helps. -
Where can I download Photoshop CS5.5?
Hi, I am now living overseas and want to deregister a Windows copy of Photoshop CS5.5 extended on my laptop and re-install it on another but I do not have my instalation disks with me. I do have my ID and serial number etc. I don't want to upgrade to CS6 but that is the only version that Adobe are offering as a trial download now.

ThanksThanks for your continued help and I understand why you might be exasperated with me because of the openning headline being about CS6 but I did scroll down and in various ways tried to navigate to CS5 but in every case, no matter which route I took, all linkes (though they purported to point to CS5) now point to CS6. Is there any other solutiion?

Can't instal photoshop CS5 extended because of "subscription error"?
Hi everyone!
I recently downloaded Photoshop CS5.1 on adobe.com and everything went well. I entered my serial number but at the end of the installation it says:
"We are unable to start your subscription for Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 Extended Subscription Edition". It forces me to close the window and I just can't instal the program.
Has anyone got an idea what this is and means? And how can I fix this so I can finally use photoshop???

Can I install Photoshop CS5 along side Elements 11?
I have Photoshop Elements 11 and just bought Photoshop CS5. Should I uninstall the old one before I install the new one?
Photoshop Elements, despite its name, is not Photoshop.
Photoshop Elements 11 and Photoshop CS5 have nothing to do with each other, so you cannot call Photoshop Elements 11 "the old one" and CS5 "the new one".
They will not interfere with each other.
Unlike Elements, Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its long and steep learning curve. If you are used to Elements, you probably want to keep it until you decide whether the full version of Photoshop is suitable for you.
One caveat: Adobe hasn't been selling CS5 for well over a year. Make sure you bought a legitimate copy you can run legally, as it absolutely requires not just registration but activation.
If you bought CS5 from a private party who has used its serial number to upgrade (to CS6 or to CC) then you would have an illegal copy of Photoshop that you cannot run.

Can't see buddy on video chat with PC user
