Where can I monitor my internet data usage?

On the old versions I could go under Settings > General > Usage and see the internet data amount in Kb or Mb that I have used. I used to reset it each month to I could monitor it and not go over my data plan. I cannot find this option any more. Help?

How much each app has used will be below the name of the app.

I understand why they want to cap their usage on their own. I am in an area where they enforce data caps and charge for additional usage and grew weary of the constant overage notices. Well, I thought I was going over data caps anyway. For the last couple months I kept getting over limit notices and was wondering why. I did everything, changed the wireless passwords installed apps to monitor usage but still kept exceeding limits. The last month was the kicker for me, allegedly, I exceeded my limit 5 days into the billing cycle. Have no idea how that could have happened. When I called to ask why they only said you torrent so you must be over cap. They would not discuss usage at all. So I ordered service from another provider and unplugged Comcast. Took about 3 weeks for new provider to get installed and running along. Yep, you guessed it, I WENT OVER AGAIN! Darn Comcast modem has been unplugged for almost the entire month but I am still showing usage. Glad I found a new company and will no longer have to deal with fraudulent billing practices. Shame too, you have the fastest product available in my area. ****BE WARE - Comcast may be charging you for data you aren't really using.

Apple does not repair devices beyond replacing the screen on some models or a battery replacement. They replace the ENTIRE device.
For the Out of Warranty replacement cost, you could have gotten a fully functional replacement device. Instead you chose to spend less to get only the screen replaced and continue to live with additional issues.
Apple will not touch the device now. They will know that it was opened elsewhere and that the replacement screen is not original.

Here, let me explain the way you use the word "crap" in a sentence like this, especially when I'm asking for help from a total stranger such as yourself. It's rude, obviously I know now not to do something like download something like that to my computer. It's not the difficult to figure out, and obviously I'm suffering the consequences for it now. That is definitely strange, twitterbird. Are you referring to data usage through your My Verizon App? Does it just not update, or does it state that the info is not available? Have you tried accessing this information directly through the website?

How can I find out my data usage for the past 3 months?

Greetings all, I have been a long time Verizon customer, and as such I, along with my husband, was grandfathered into the unlimited data plan. When I last spoke to a representative, they informed me that the only way we were going to be able to keep our unlimited data was by paying the full retail price ($600+) to get a new phone. So we were considering upgrading and changing to one of the newer data plans so we could still get the discounted price on the new phone, but I would like to make sure I choose one with enough data, without paying for a bunch of data that I don't use, however MyVerizon only shows me the amount I have used since the start of the billing cycle. Is there a way to find out the data usage for both my husband and myself for the last 3 months so I can choose the right option?

I have an eMac which shows the date and time as random figures, suggesting that the internal battery is dead. Where can I buy a replacement? My local Apple reseller does not stock them.

You may be able to find a battery seller locally, The PRAM battery is not limited to computer use. That model is also used in alarm systems. Look for a "1/2 AA 3.6V lithium" battery--that's about as generic description as one can give.
I found a seller that has a chart of battery number equivalents:

Look at the last line. There is a long list of manufacturers' battery numbers that are 1/2AA 3.6V. As long as you find one that's lithium (haven't seen any that aren't) you should be good to go.

How do I stop my Boss monitoring my Internet/email usage?

My company is having a Microsoft server system set up & one of the office staff has told me that when this is fully installed, my Boss will be able to check what sites I visit, internet usage & what emails I send. I'm not happy about this, but there's not much I can do about it, so I decided to come on here & ask if anyone knows of any software, or procedure that I can use, to stop this? I use the only Mac in the company, everyhting else is PC??

Hello,
It may not be what you want to hear. But, the computers you are using at work are property of your employer. And, the Internet connection you use there is paid for by your employer. And, the time you spend at work also belongs to your employer (they are purchasing your time from you).
So, you really cannot complain about them monitoring the activities performed on their computer, the traffic going over their network, and whether you are performing the task that you are paid to perform.
There really is no way for you to mask what you are doing with this type of arrangement.
Any software installed on your computer (actually their computer) will be detected. And, anything you send over their network will be archived. So, while you could use an anonymizer on the Internet, that would not prevent them from seeing the traffic to and from your system.
My wife's work computer even has a program on it that scans it every time she turns it on and looks for unauthorized software installations. Even her portable computer will report unauthorized software.
The problem, is that companies are liable for what you do on their equipment. If you install a pirated copy of your favorite program, then they are liable for having pirated software on their computer.
If you download a program from the Internet, and install it, it could create a security hole in their system for others to exploit.
If you like to go look at adult pictures on the web, then that stuff is on their systems. A local company here has actually had that happen several times on their system. They've found a couple of their male employee's to have had "kiddie" pictures on their computers, and to have been surfing those sites during work hours.
In those cases, the employers are obligated to inform the police and report what they found on their system. Without a monitoring system, all they'd be able to do is determine that someone did it. And, that would make the company fully liable for the illegal activity. But, with a monitoring system, they can determine which employee did it, and let that employee pay the consequences for his illegal activity.
You need to first understand that your employer is not sitting there specifically watching everything you are doing. They are just watching for certain things that will require their intervention and correction.
Much of this is automated with software. And, the admins are just notified when things trigger a rule violation. But, in some cases the employers will specifically watch an employee if it appears as though something illegal is happening or if they have reason to.
Either way, there isn't much you can do about it.
It's their legal right to protect their business, monitor their own equipment, and make sure that their Internet service is only being used for the purposes it is provided.
Remember that all that equipment is provided only as a "tool" to help you perform your job.
It is not a personal luxury for you to use as you like. It is a tool specifically provided to assist you in your job. Your employer does not have to allow you to use that tool for any other purpose.
And, technically, since they are purchasing your time, it is in their best interest to make sure that you are using that tool for work rather than play.
Sorry if that isn't what you wanted to hear. But, if you've seen the stuff I've seen on employer's computers, then you'd understand.

Does anyone know where I can find the data file for the reminders in Mountain Lion? When I recently synced my iPad to iMac it deleted the 50+ reminders that were on the iMac. I have done hourly backups with time machine but would like to know where to go to find these to reinstate them.
Also, does anyone knows how to turn off the reminders sync as I'm not using iCloud and there does not appear to be any option to sync reminders in iTunes?

Where can I find my app data

Hi, I recently had to competely restore my iPad and coindicentally, the original computer where I synced everything is toast. But I managed to get teh HD out and copy everything over to another PC. I was able to sync back all my music, videos, apps, but one thing...my app data, where is that? For instance, I lost all my progress in Angry Birds...that's just one I mention. I'm hoping this is saved on that HD somewhere...but where is it and how can I get to it?

You find third-party apps in the App Store. What app are you looking for? Due to problems, Apple removed the ability to record that information in Health. You can always go back to whatever you used before three weeks Health was released. Why can you not check and record your blood glucose? I would assume you check it using blood samples and a glucose meter which has nothing to do with your phone. You should be able to record it in any number of apps, from Notes to purpose made third-party apps.
