Where can I update the Creative Cloud desktop manager?
I go on https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud and it gives me a link that opens up the creative cloud widget, but doesn't do anything.
Is there an exe I can download from the adobe website that will update/reinstall this program?
I'm getting this error when updating apps: U44M1P7
I read up before, on other questions that the solution was to update the download manager.

Error A12E1 when I try to update the Creative Cloud desktop
I get an Error code: A12E1 when I try to update the Creative Cloud desktop on my Mac, OS 10.7.5. I tried creating a different user account but that made no difference. I uninstalled the Creative Cloud desktop app and downloaded a new one from the CC website. Same problem with an Error code: A12E6.

I’ve encountered this A12E1 error EVERY time an update to CC Desktop has been required — that’s (5) times since August 2013. I contacted TS chat the first (4) times and each time I listened to them tell me that this was the LAST TIME I’d encounter this error. Each time, they put me through exactly the same process, delete exactly the same processes and folders, uninstall the CC application and reinstall it. This time, I skipped the tech support chat and did it myself: who needs to be lied to over and over again?
If you’re not going to eliminate this A12E1 error, at least put something together to automate the process, please?
The instructions for #3, reinstalling the CC desktop application (post #23 above) are inaccurate, at least for OS 10.7.5. Tip: the Mac has more than one OS in use, as does Windows.
P.S. I deeply resent being ignominiously FORCED to use CC apps with the worst GUIs ever (are your code gurus completely ignorant of the concepts of CLARITY and LEGIBILITY?), being FORCED to reconfigure (6) or (8) “upgraded” applications every few months because Adobe won’t support the previous version(s) for more than five minutes, being FORCED to sift through hundreds of forum posts and dozens of INACCURATE or non-existent so-called “support” pages (e.g., the link cited above) and being FORCED to watch hours of useless TV tutorials in order to find the one piece of information I need — EVERY TIME I need support — because Adobe is too lazy to write application- and version-specific manuals. You’ve backed us into that infamous circle of hell between a rock and a hard place instead of providing us with the stable, seamless suite of creative tools we were promised.
The bling and the glitz and the self-promotional “look at our wonderful new toys” videos just don’t fill the void, Adobe.
Unless you work for a company big enough to afford one of your outrageously expensive tech support plans, you’re out here fending for yourself on forums that never seem to get looked at by an Adobe employee. I spend more time solving Adobe-related problems than I do producing billable work. I’ve been a loyal, dues-paying, license-respecting Adobe customer since 1991; every year I paid the upgrade fees and was content to do so until Creative Suite offered the same upgrade deal to people with (1) outdated version of Photoshop that they offered to someone who’d paid the upgrades on (5) to (8) Adobe applications for (15) years. So much for loyalty and playing by the rules.
If you really want to help me, please find out why the Typekit support people haven’t answered the e-mail I sent them (2) days ago. And if Typekit won’t work with Dreamweaver CS6, then they ought to come out and say that instead of sending you to help pages that tell you how to use it with Dreamweaver CC. Thanks. -
How can I tell the Creative Cloud Desktop app that an app no longer exists?
I have installed Muse via the Creative Cloud Desktop app, tried it, didn’t like it AND deinstalled it. (Or so I thought.) However, the Desktop app still shows Muse CC as “up to date”, and lists Muse CC 2014 in “New versions available for installed apps”. How can I get rid of these, when I can’t even find a trace of either one on my Mac (including the deinstaller folder in Utilities)?

Creative Cloud Help | Install, update, or uninstall apps tells me to open /Utilities/Adobe Installers, which doesn’t show a Muse deinstaller, as mentioned above.
CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed lists 4 possible ways:
just the same: use the uninstaller in /Utilities/Adobe Installers, which isn’t there, so obviously useless.
delete opm.db in ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE. This one was new to me, but didn’t help.
Install the latest version of the desktop app. I already had this, but I re-downloaded and re-installed it anyway. No difference.
Uninstall EVERYTHING as described in solution 1 and use the CS/CC CleanerTool. And NOW finally it gets interesting!
Actually I first thought this was bad joke, but it turned out I didn’t even have to uninstall anything else! I just downloaded the CleanerTool (Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6), launched it, selected Muse and got prompted if I wanted to try a regular uninstall first. Ok, if that’s still an option, why not? So the CleanerTool launched an application manager that was finally able to uninstall Muse, while leaving everything else in place. Thumbs up!
So until Adobe integrates a proper uninstaller into their CC desktop app, I recommend the CleanerTool! -
Every time I launch the creative cloud desktop app it says I need to update. When I follow the prompts to update I lose my taskbar, etc on my windows 7 machine. I then have to restart windows explorer to get the desktop back, but the app still now says I have to update. Circular problem - please help.

[MAC HD]/Bibliothèque/Application Support/Adobe/

I have troubles updating the Creative Cloud desktop, what shoud I do?
Everytime I try to update after the download is almost done, a box appears saying that another Creative Cloud desktop is running and that I need to quit that instance first, but I don't see anything. I click retry but nothing happens, what should I do?

Welcome to the Community!
Restart the machine and try to download again, if that doesn't work then try the below steps.
Are you using Windows? if yes, please open Task manager press (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) at the same time and click on Processes. Check if any CCapp.exe or any other process of Adobe is running like AAM notifier or AAM, if yes end the process and start the download once again.

How can I get the Creative Cloud Desktop app To work on Windows Vista?
Currently My CC Desktop app is a greyed out icon.
It has been on and off for months now.
I have called technical support several times and been directed to
1) Uninstall it
2) Run the cleaner
3) Turn AV Software off
4) Delet my prefrences
5) Delet Hosts file in Windows 32 folder
6) Restart, Restart,
7) Use a diffent User account. etc.
The apps work= PS, INDD, AE, PROJ, AI, DW, Fla, etc.
But the Creative Cloud Destop app does not. I have to use the web browser to upload or sync any files.
Anyone have any other ideas I welcome them.
My specs,
Running windows vista, on a very good HP machine.
I have been a loyal Adobe Customer, For more than 15 years.
I have been an Adobe Certified Expert for 3 years or more.
I work professionaly with this software as a teacher. I have taught this software to college grads. and now to highschool students.

I am afraid Creative Cloud desktop app is not compatible with Windows Vista. If you run into problems there are very limited resources from Adobe to assist.

I can't install The Creative Cloud desktop app in Mountain Lion. Error A12E1
After following every possible workaround posted everywhere, and waiting unsuccessfully for 1 hour and a half for a chat with customer support, I'm posting the issue here before I cancel my subscription to Creative Cloud.
I'm having the same issue that many people seem to have for different error codes and no solution seems to have been found yet that is agood fit for all of them, so I'm posting here in hopes somebody does take the time to analyze what is going on instead of suggesting the "Is you power cable plugged in?" type of questions. I have already tried all workarounds regarding this issue, the famous A12E1 error, but in my case the issue is specifically trying to install the Adobe Application Manager:

Thank youIf there's still any developer left in the fancy and deserted HQ in San Jose that still provides support, you might want to ask them what does Exit Code 5 means for them when installing AAM, since every developer uses exit codes in their own way, to check why is the install of Adobe Application Manager failing.

There's no easy scripted answer out of this issue, like I said, I already went through all the troubleshooting that was posted in your support forums and nothing worked. The only sure way to find the problem is to do it the proper way and find out what the error means. -

i had previously installed it so i could use the 30 day trials, but i deleted i from my machine. now it won't open even though i purchased the creative cloud.
Mebridge please begin the installation process in a different web browser. You can also download the Creative Cloud Desktop application from Creative Cloud Help | Creative Cloud for desktop.

Why do certain apps were not showing up in creative cloud desktop manager
I'm not so sure on why this error message shows up every time I logged in to my computer. Here’s my scenario…
Every time I try to open the Creative Cloud desktop manager and it will not launch as if it’s not working. So I saved a copy of their installer so that I can reinstall it every time I login. Yes EVERY TIME. Once the CC desktop manager shows up, the only app that shows up is LR. But as I check my Control Panel, Photoshop CC, Dreamweaver and Acrobat was installed. However, as I try to launch those three programs, that error above shows up. So my daily routine is to install a software and use it. Then tomorrow, same routine again. I’m doing this process for a month now and I’m getting tired of it as time goes by. Is there a possible solution for this? I’ve tried to uninstall and reinstall it again but having the same loop over and over again. Thanks for the help! I’m using Windows by the way.It seems that the problem is still there. First I opened the Creative Cloud desktop launcher and nothing's happening. It's not opening as if it's not installed. So I tried to run the installer again and it pops out and it only shows that Lightroom is the only one installed. As you can see on the photo above, it shows that Dreamweaver, Acrobat, and Photoshop were installed but it's now showing up in my Apps list. I tried to open Photoshop and it requires me to log in to my Adobe account before I can continue using it. Before, I can use it even if I'm not connected to the Internet. I'm trying to update my apps using the creative cloud desktop app. I can't see any apps in the app tab, the wheel just spins round and round and nothing happens. Has anyone got any ideas? I've tried uninstalling the desktop app and reinstalling but it still has the same problem.

Hi, I'm not sure whether this is a general issue with the Creative Cloud desktop app, or something is going wrong with my installation, but I receive seem to receive no indication that I have already downloaded an item when I open CC --> Assets --> Market. Looking in my Libraries, I now find some items I've downloaded up to 4 times. Is there some indication I am missing? Is my installation of CC desktop messed up? Or should I suggest that there should be some indication of whether an item has been downloaded or not on that Market page in the app? Even when I go specifically to downloaded items, none of those items has the cloud with the arrow icon grayed out. The only time that icon grays out is when I download the item and keep that page/window open to download other items. As soon as that page/window is closed, the next time I open it, all icons are no longer grayed out, so I no longer have a clue as to what I downloaded unless I open my libraries in my browser. Seems a bit primitive.
Hi Elba, Thank you for your time and effort in researching this. Unfortunately, the above method you describe is more than a little awkward. When one shows the Downloaded window, as you illustrate, that greys out all the individual categories. So, if I were looking for brushes, I'd have to check if I already had it by going to the downloaded window, then navigate back to brushes by first going to Featured or Recent, and then to Brushes, (even All Categories is not clickable, though it looks active). I'd also need to have a very, very good memory, or be going back and forth very often, with how close some brushes appear, and how similar their names are.
Instead, in a browser window, I go to my library from my adobe.com page, so I can see what brushes I have while the window where I can download brushes is open:
However, this still seems awkward to me. Adobe could grey out the icons to indicate they had already been downloaded, while still allowing them to be clickable and downloadable. I guess more code would be needed. I see examples of this every day in both Apple's app store, and Google's play store. For that matter, even the Adobe CC desktop app itself informs me of what Desktop Apps I have installed on each computer, and even whether they need to be updated. I guess, though, the situation for all of those is a bit different, not being quite so cloud-based. -
Is there a way to temporarily ignore the Creative Cloud Desktop update? i.e. Mobile data use
I am a mobile tablet user (Windows 8). I am connected via mobile data wifi sometimes, and I need to grab a font or make a quick update to an Illustrator or InDesign project with a new font etc. The problem is that when a Creative Cloud Desktop update is available, it forces you to update. This can be slow and expensive over a mobile network. Is it possible to ignore an update temporarily so that you can function without the update? Quite frankly the Creative Cloud Desktop application seems to have an update every three to four days --- Makes it bothersome.

Please follow the below mentioned steps:
Windows: C/Program Files(X86)/Common Files/Adobe/AAMUpdaterInventory/1.0/AdobeUpdaterAdminPref.dat and rename it.
Mac: Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdaterinventory/1.0/AdobeUpdaterAdminPref.dat and rename it.
Now there should be no update prompt.
