If you have only theorical knowledge on some skills then try to put that in good wording i.e. "exposure to" or "knowledge of " instead of "Worked on".This will help you to avaoid for any embrassing situation.

I have been lookng for answer for the following 2 questons.
1. Is is it possible to use ABAP for B1 Development to create Add-ons.
2. In the standard forms/reports there is no figure to words conversion. Please high light on how to do this.

Short answer: no you cannot.
Longer answer: B1 gives you access to its objects and GUI
with COM-based libraries. Any language that supports COM
can be used, included VB, VB.NET, C#, C and C++. A wrapper
for Java is also provided to access B1 objects.

i am new to DTV and here is a very basic doubt abt file:// url.
Under what all situations can we use a file://
i had seen at many places that restrictions can be there depending upon whether the file is local or in the broadcast file system.

Don't use the "file://" URL.
If you want to address files which are part of an application, either address them by opening a file or via a resource. For example, a file called "example.xml" in the base directory of an application can be accessed by either
a) new FileInputStream("example.xml")
b) put the directory containing the file in the application's classpath and then access the file by Class.getResource("example.xml")

From Where can i install ABAP plug-in in SAP Netweaver Developer Studio 7.3?

I have Installed SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.3 and I was trying to install ABAP plug-in but i couldn't found the link to install.
Later i found SAP Development Tools for Eclipse this link but its not working. As i came to know it will work only for Luna (4.4) or Kepler (4.3).
Would you please let me know how to install ABAP plug-in in SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.3.

Full Update-To load Historical Data.
Init-This is done to enable the Delta Upload.
Delta will be done only if the Init has happened
Initilialize with out data transfer:
this means Delta gets initialized ie datasource will get in to RSA7 for delta updation, but in this updation data wont get transferred.
initilialize with data transfer.
Once the data source getin we can transfer data from source sysem to BW through this connection. here data can transfered based on our input condition.
early delta initlization
With early delta initialization, the data is written into the delta queue /tables for the application during the initialization request, in the source system.
This way you can initialise the delta process without having to stop the posting of new data in the source system, as opposed to simple initialising the delta process (wihtout Early Init)
Early delta initialization is only available if the DataSource extractor in the source system supports this process.
Initiliazw with out data transfer--> we go for when we run full load first time and second time we need delta so for delta enable we have to run init so we go for initilize with out data transfer so with this step delta is enable.but when we run intiliaze with out data transfer data is not transfer it is run for delta enable purpose only

Zen Micro -- Where can i use

I was wondering if the Zen Micro worked well when say snowboarding or riding a bike?

Jogging is definitely a bad idea due to the continual up/down motion, whereas I think the main risk when snowboarding/bike riding would be the potential for a fall.
If you snowboard down moguls or are doing rough trail riding I wouldn't suggest taking it along. If you are just riding on a smooth street or snowboarding down a fast trail (read: not jumping...etc) then the chance of damage is lower. Personally I would not take a HDD based player on either of these due to the fact that damage by a fall or heavy vibrations would not be covered under the warranty. This is more of the territory for flash based player like a MuVo 2 Cross Trainer or a MuVo Micro N200.

SAP BI 7.x Transformations use OO ABAP where the logic that you enter into the tranformational routines (Start Routine, Characteristic Routines and End Routine) are inside METHODS. PERFORM and FORM are procedural-based ABAP and cannot be used in METHODS.
CLASS-METHOD and Function Modules are your best bets for processing outside of the transformational routine. As for performance, we use both and haven't found any signicant difference between the two (our custom Function Modules usually perform only slight better than our custom METHODS).

Lock objects are use in SAP to avoid the inconsistancy at the time of data is being insert/change into database.
SAP Provide three type of Lock objects.
- Read Lock(Shared Locked)
protects read access to an object. The read lock allows other transactions read access but not write access to
the locked area of the table
- Write Lock(exclusive lock)
protects write access to an object. The write lock allows other transactions neither read nor write access to
the locked area of the table.
- Enhanced write lock (exclusive lock without cumulating)
works like a write lock except that the enhanced write lock also protects from further accesses from the
same transaction.
You can create a lock on a object of SAP thorugh transaction SE11 and enter any meaningful name start with EZ Example EZTEST_LOCK.
Use: you can see in almost all transaction when you are open an object in Change mode SAP could not allow to any other user to open the same object in change mode.
Example: in HR when we are enter a personal number in master data maintainance screen SAP can't allow to any other user to use same personal number for changes.
Technicaly:
When you create a lock object System automatically creat two function module.
1. ENQUEUE_<Lockobject name>. to insert the object in a queue.
2. DEQUEUE_<Lockobject name>. To remove the object is being queued through above FM.
You have to use these function module in your program.

Match code objects are same as Search helps, where they are used in Previous versions of SAP.
Now in the newer versions Search helps are replaced them.
Standard Texts are the texts which are maintained in SO10 Tcode
Every SAP application document is maintained with HEADER and ITEM texts
and these texts are fetched from SAP using the READ_TEXT Function module
by passing TEXT ID, TEXTNAME,TEXTOBJECT and LANGUAGE fields
You can double click on any long text in the systesm and you can see these paramters in the text editor.
Text Modules are created and used in Smartforms.

Where can I find an Access key for the user with "AS ABAP sneak preview" ?

Hi all,
I have installed AS ABAP sneak preview on my laptop.
I use username "bcuser" and password "minisap". when I try to create some objects like, i.e. Function Group for Function Module, then it ask for an access key.
Where can I find an access key for this ABAP SNEAK PREVIEW for user "bcuser"?
I have gone thru some documents, I know we need to register user in OSS and need to get an access key from the marketplace but can I register this user "bcuser" or it's already register? I need some more specific information to resolve this issue.
Please advise me on above question.

Hi Rich,
I have entered ZH_XYZ as a Function Group name to create a new function group. While I am creating it, it asks for the Access Key. I tries to enter an Access Key here for the first time and it says wrong entry for access key.
Also if I try to create new Function Module, it ask me to select the Function Group. As I couldn't create a new Function Group, I tried to select from existing(from SAP System's FG), still it asks for an access key, I enter the an Access Key here, then also it says wrong entry.
I really got confused with this Access Key thing, can you provide me some insights?
