Where can I use my Apple Store Gift Card?

I received an Apple Store Gift Card in the amount of $25 for purchasing a MacBook Pro.  I found software that I desperately need in the Mac App Store, but it won't take the card.  This is very upsetting.  Where can I use the card?

You need to understand the difference between an Apple Store gift card, used for buying Apple products, and an iTunes Store gift card, used for purchasing digital content.
There is no way to use an Apple Store gift card on the iTunes Store. If you want, you can contact iTunes Support at http://apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html and see if they will let you exchange it.

    An Apple Store gift card can only be used to buy at an Apple Store, not in iTunes Store. If the card comes with a key, you can try redeeming it in the iTunes Store in case it is an iTunes gift card.

    You can't from Apple, they don't let you buy iTunes gift cards with an Apple Store gift card. You could see if a different store in your country might let you (though they possibly won't), or try selling the card to somebody e.g. family, friend, eBay etc

    Hey Carterc25, I have been dealing with the same issue this morning... I've talked to the senior adviser of Applecare and "Bruce" told me the only way to convert apple gift card to itunes is by physically going to an Apple Retail Store and buy an Itunes gift card. Many people don't understand the difference between "apple" and "itunes" in gift cards so it is only obvious more people will fall victim to scheme. My advice is DO NOT BUY APPLE GIFT CARD.

    Sorry to hear about your car... I can relate several times over through the years.
    You might try calling the nearest "Apple SHOP" - an Apple staffed/trained "store within a store"-  to see if they will have the Watch available in the time frame you desire to purchase. I would want to try them on... it is jewelry after all

    Whereas the US store does list gift cards as an option. We are the same here in the UK - Apple gift cards can't be used online, only in retail Apple Stores
    We can however use iTunes gift cards for apps - hurrah!!
    I could be wrong as like you I don't buy on the Canadian online store. Perhaps the best thing is for the OP to phone the order line and enquire.

    Basicly the Apple store gift card is for purchases such as devices/accessories etc.
