Where could I get a new iPod 5 screen then get it replaced?
My iPod was in my binder (it zips up) and I pulled it out to a (much more) broken screen. Where can I get a new one? Where can I get it replaced?
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $99 for 16 GB 5G and $149 for the other 5Gs (USA price). They do not fix yours.
Apple - iPod Repair price
A third-party place like the following maybe less. Google for more.
iPhone Repair, Service & Parts: iPod Touch, iPad, MacBook Pro Screens
Replace the screen yourself if you are up to it
iPod Touch Repair – iFixit
The last time I looked Apple is likely the best deal since screens cost over $100.,

My new iPod touch is getting really warm while I use it. Is it normal? I mean, I have silicone cover, maybe it's the reason for iPod being so HOT?... How do you think, is it too important to have a cover on the iPod? How about screen protector? :S

Is there any shop in texas ,austin where we can replace an old ipod touch 3G and get a new ipod touch 4G ??
pls help meeSorry but I am pretty sure there isn't a shop which offers such a service.
Apple stores offer a 14 day remorse period where you can return a purchase for a full refund without having to give a reason however this has probably expired - unless you bought from a different store with a similar system which you still happen to be within the time limit for.
Your best bet would be to sell your iPod 3G and put the money towards a new one. If you are having trouble selling it an Apple store will take it and give you 10% off a new iPod. -

Should I get a new LCD screen for my iPod?
Should I get a new LCD screen for my iPod 3gen because mine has a bad one? And should I get a new screen because mine is cracked?
One you know if it is worth the cost. Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for:

The screen on my iPod has cracked / shattered. Is this something that can this be fixed or do I need to get a new iPod? Everthing still works just the glass is shattered at the bottom and cracks are running up through the screen.
It can be fixed by Apple, some authorized Apple repair shops, or third-party repair shops.
Apple actually replaces your iPod with a refurbished iPod and the price will depend on what model you have. Others will repair your iPod and the prices tend to be lower.

Getting a new iPod Touch to work
Hello,
I can't get my new iPod Touch to work, and I would appreciate help!
I bought an iPod Touch today. I turned it on and the Apple logo appeared, and then instructions to connect the iPod to a computer appeared on the screen. The screen was very dark and I could hardly see what was on it. I connected the iPod to my MacBook Pro. iTunes started and said that the connected iPod was in recovery mode and that I needed to restore it to factory settings before I could use it. At this point, the screen of the iPod was blank. iTunes could not detect the version of the software, the iPod's capacity or its serial number. I tried to restore the iPod but iTunes gave me an error message saying that an error happened. At this point, the iPod was completely unresponsive, and the only thing that I could do was restarting by holding the home and power buttons.
The iPod has been connected to my computer for an hour now, and the situation is still the same. Any idea of what's wrong?
Thanks in advance.I got mine last week and it started up right away after pressing the home button. then I plugged it into my iMac and set it up. So your situation does not sound normal. I would try:If iPod touch won’t turn on, or if the display freezes or doesn’t respond
iPod touch may need charging. See “Charging the Battery” on page 22.
Press and hold the Home button for at least six seconds, until the application you
were using quits.
If that doesn’t work, turn off iPod touch and turn it on again. Press and hold the
Sleep/Wake button on top of iPod touch for a few seconds until a red slider appears,
and then drag the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple
logo appears.
If that doesn’t work, reset iPod touch. Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button
and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. -
do any one know how much it is to get the new ipod touch with the camera if you trade in your old ipod touch?
Sounds like you need a new battery. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store to confirm. Apple will replace the battery for $79. A third-party place like the folloing may be less expensive. Google for more places.

You can also replace it yourself if you are so inclined. For parts and instruction:

I had to get a new ipod....they said I just needed to plug it in and sync to my itunes.. I get an error 1413 when I try to follow the instructions to restore. I can't find any information on error 1413, what does this mean?
Now it keeps saying that it is restored but there is still no music or video on it. And a new error is coming up that says "We could not complete your iTunes store request. The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."

SHOULD I GET THE NEW IPOD WITH ViDEO?
I was wondering if I should get a new iPod. Can you give me some help. I wanted to know the pro and cons.

It depends. Do you have an earlier version of iPod? If you do, and it still works well, then I would wait. The only reason I would recommend getting a new iPod is if you had an earlier iPod break; you have a low capacity mp3 player; you want to have a color screen. I recently had an unofrtunate event happen with a 6 gig mini iPod. I have done all I can to try and fix it, but to no avail. So, I ended up looking to buy another iPod. I did some research, and found that buying a new iPod was a good choice. I did think about the nano, but only one will hold the amount of songs I have. The one that does is the 8 gig black mini. However, it costs $249. I then noticed that the 30 gig video iPod also costs $249. Since I am was not worried about size, I purchased a 30 gig video iPod. I am glad I did. It is just a little bigger than my mini, but holds 5 times more music, and also videos, and has a color screen. The one thing I liked about the mini was that it had an aluminim housing. If you get a video iPod, be sure to get a good iSkin case for it to help keep it safe. After owning the 30 gig iPod for a while, I have really enjoyed it. I haven't had any issues with it at all.

Ok, so im thinking about getting a new ipod but i have apps like flappy bird that you cant get again so i was wondering if i got my new ipod if all of my apps and music and pictures would be saved and i could get them on the other ipod.
Follow these instructions:
iOS: Transferring information from your current iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to a new device -
I have been able to trick my ipod into letting me in but I still can't get the touchscreen to work this is extremely annoying and I was wondering if i should just get a new ipod or what?
You need a computer with iTunes and an internet connection
Try:
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar -
I have a new iPod and cannot get my music loaded on to it. The computer says it's not connected, and then it says it is synced but there's still no mucis on it.
If that's not a real email, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.

Connecting PowerBook to PowerMac
I've heard there is a procedure for connecting a PowerBook to a PowerMac so that basically the PowerBook is an external hard drive for the PowerMac. What all is involved besides just hooking the firewire cable to each computer? TIA for your help.
