Where did Display Duplicates go in release 11

Where did Display Duplicates go in release 11? Can't find where they put this.

Two Windows scripts to make playlists of Duplicates and Exact Duplicates. Use shift-delete to remove selected tracks from the library as well as the playlist.

Where did display resolutions go?

I just updated from 10.7.3 to to 10.7.4 on intel 24" iMac. In 10.7.3, I had a choice of 12 different display resolutions. In 10.7.4, I have 2 - neither of which I find acceptable, so I reintalled 10.7.3. Where did my choices go?
And how do I contact Apple directly without having to pay to tell them there is a problem with their update?
I was forced to switch to Lion so I could keep my contacts and calendars synced with all my Apple devices. Frankly, I've been an Apple user all the way back to the IIe. I don't like Lion. I don't like being forced to upgrade - if those items still sync with Windows XP, why can't they in Snow Leopard? I don't like that there is no easy way to contact Apple support about this. I don't like the snooty and less than helpful personel at my local Apple Store. Makes me wonder why I'm still an Apple user.

HT2905 Where has Display Duplicates gone in iTunes 11

There is no Display Duplicates in iTunes 11 - if I had known I would not have updated this is essential when adding CD's to the library - and I can find no way to contact apple as I have to have a product with a serial number to ask them a question about iTunes!!!! Can anyone help or ask them where Display Duplicates has gone.
I am in the middle of loading up all my husbands CD's and I have a ton still to do and this Display Duplicates is essential.

Where has Display Duplicates gone

Am I being blind, but I can't find 'Display Duplicates' in the new version of iTunes. Anyone know where it's gone?

The show duplicates/show exact duplicates features have been left out of iTunes 11. Rumor suggests they will be restored in the next build. In the meantime I have written two Windows scripts to make playlists of Duplicates and Exact Duplicates, either from a selection of tracks or the entire library.
If you want to manually remove duplicate tracks use shift-delete to remove selected tracks from the library as well as the playlist. Keep one of each repeated group of files and don't send to the recycle bin unless you are sure that there are multiple files on the disc as opposed to multiple entries to the same file.
There is also my DeDuper script if you don't want to do it by hand. This can preserve ratings, play counts, playlist membership, etc. which are lost in a manual clean up. Please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping. See this thread for background on deduping and the script.

I have serious reservations about yosemite. Where did the time in the upper right corner go when i open safari? Plus why is my display print lighter and harder to read? this update needs an update!!

ITunes 11 removed Display duplicates option

I downloaded iTunes 11 and there is no longer an option to Display Dupicates in the File menu. Am I missing it somewhere or did they get rid of it?

I don't think implementation would have been an issue. Much of the behind the scenes code won't have been changed. The duplicates filter will most likely be a pretty standard SQL query.
One of the problems with the old display duplicates feature was that novice users would select all the displayed items and delete them, only to discover that their library now contained no copies of the tracks that had previously been duplicated. Even when this is understood there are a number of different ways of generating duplicates in iTunes, some of which create extra files on the hard drive, some of which don't. When deleting it is important to know which you have otherwise you can delete the only physical copy of a track in error. This is one of the reasons I wrote the DeDuper script, not because I needed it, but because I was interested to see if it could be done automatically and safely. I haven't completely achieved the second goal yet (problems with a special case where one file is added to the library from two different paths), but automating the process allows preservation & amalgamation of ratings, play counts, playlist membership which just isn't possible by hand. Where did the History Column checkbox go?

I am using jdeveloper 11g release 11.1.2.2.0.
I was working through some of the storefront demo and the the instructions said.
Open the Entity Object, Click the Attributes Tab, Select the History Column check box.
I am unable to find a History Column check box on this version. where did it go?

I think it is called Track Change History now - a drop down list.
You can also look for it in the property inspector window.

Where did my object go? :(

I'm having a bit of trouble passing an object from one view to the next and I was really hoping someone could give me a hand.
I am using a table view that when an item is clicked, an object is passed to the next view based on the selected item. When the user clicks an object I retrieve the appropriate object for that row and then set the item property of the view controller they are being sent to:

If I step through the code and go to the line after the Item property is set I can call self.itemView.item and the correct object is returned to me. However, after the view is pushed if I stop the debugger in viewDidLoad of ItemViewController, the item property is now nil.
My item property is defined as follows in the ItemViewController.h:

So what I want to know is... where did my item go after I set it and pushed the view to current?

My mistake, I misunderstood what you had said about how to format it.
I did some further tests to check the integrity of my object. In my item object's constructor I initialized a string with a random number in it. Stepping through I found that the constructor is only getting hit once, but even so by the time my object reaches the ItemViewController all of its fields have been nulled. Could someone show me how to manually implement my properties so that they are not generated for me? I'd like to slap some breakpoints in the setters to see if I can get a better feel for what's going on.

Import From Elements - where did it go

I noticed that the Michael Tapes 'Import' video showed an 'Import From Elements' menu item on the file menu. I have the 4.1 beta installed and this item does not appear in the file menu. Where did it go or is there another way to import a PSE catalog straight into LR.

I'm hoping that this whole process is unnecessary. By seeing the "Import from Elements" option, I am currently hoping/assuming that this means it will import the actual PSE Organizer catalog into LR. PSE Organizer uses .psa files for each catalog. I am hoping that by selecting the "Import from Elements" options, LR will take your .psa file (Photoshop Elements Organizer Catalog) and convert it into a .aglib file (Lightroom Library). The tags, categories and subcategories should be converted to the Lightroom equivalent of keywords, parent keywords, and child keywords (or whatever they're called in LR). In doing this, there should be no preparation of anything in PSE Organizer. If I'm understanding what Susan just said she did, it seems that the actions you just took Susan by making everything a category just took away all hierarchical tags (or parent/child information), for their is no heirarchy in the IPTC keywords fields, unless I'm mistaken.
Once again, I'm assuming this is how it will work and I hope I'm right . . . any other way just doesn't seem to make any sense. The "Import from Elements" option would not be needed if you've already embedded all of your tags into the files (or made all of your tags into categories and embedded that). If that information is already embedded in the file, then just import the files through the typical import dialog and it will find that information. There is no need to worry about the catalog or the "Import from Elements" command at all. My hope is that I don't need to do this and I can just convert the catalog on the fly (much like when you upgrade from say PSE Organizer version 3 to PSE Organizer version 5). Regardless, I will wait until LR is released before I take any steps to start the conversion process. I don't want to compomise something that I've spent years creating and works great already because I'm guessing or assuming how something may or may not work. I guess we shall all know soon enough (or even sooner if a final release tester can confirm this in any way).

Used to be under file Display Duplicates but now it is gone. Anyone found the new way? Is there one? Did they really take away that functionality??

I not this is no consolation, and I am upset that this functionaliy is missing. But I think the best thing we can do is let them know that we want it back. I've already sent off a feedback form to Apple. I'm sure it'll fall on deaf ears, but maybe if enough people do it asking for "Display Duplicates" back mayb we'll see it in an update.
